Do not recommend! Sent my sister in for a quick oil change and the children running the place thought they could run up a check on her. They tried to sell her on needing new tires (the tires were replaced less than a month ago) and on top of that, they told her the battery tested no good and she would need a new one. She took it right to Firestone for a second opinion and wouldn't you know it, the battery tested perfect. Super dishonest. No need to ever spend a dollar here again. No need for a manager to contact. ***Customers beware*** My husband and I have been loyal valvoline customers for years. We get our oil changes at valvoline for all of our vehicles, Recently, my husband noticed oil leaking from beneath one of our vehicles. Concerned, I brought it to our dealership in Freehold, NJ, for inspection. The dealership determined that the issue stemmed from a hairline crack in the oil pan, caused by the gasket being overtightened during an oil change. To prevent further leakage and potential damage, we had to replace the oil pan, incurring a total cost of $632.29. According to the inspectors at the dealership, this kind of damage is an unfortunate but avoidable mistake that can occur during the oil-changing process. We contacted valvoline and they are refusing to offer any reimbursements. Just a warning for anyone getting an oil change.... They might over tighten and it'll cost over $600 to fix! read more

So today I got my oil changed, and I want to state that I've had great service there in the past... but I think a lot of new mechanics work and run the business now and the last few times I've had issues with their service. First, usually with the oil change they will check everything and I don't under why they don't anymore. Didn't check the tire pressure, didn't ask if I wanted my cabin filter checked, just lights and stuff under the hood. Which cool, the oil and fluids are most important... but honestly it comes off lazy not to ask. Second, I'm a woman.. I understand a lot of women don't know a lot about cars, but don't judge a book by its cover. I personally know the basics. Basically what I need to know to keep it lasting.. So when the one guy (don't know his name) comes up to my window and says you need your battery changed, the "caps" are melting and it's going to explode soon... I was hesitant to believe him. He asked when I got it last replaced first before saying any of this, so instantly I was annoyed I couldn't remember. I said it may have been awhile, like 4 years. Honestly I was sure. So I think that was his cue to try and take advantage. The other person who initially was helping me didn't even say anything when he first opened the hood and looked at the appearance on everything first... so either he's neglectful or the other guy is a big liar trying to make extra commission or whatever off a "dumb girl". I ended up stopping at pepboys on the way home and had them look at it and test it. I have a printed copy of the test result and he said it was fine. And then I asked if they saw anything melting and he said no. Then I looked at it again when I got home, looked normal to me. I even called the place I got the battery and they confirmed it's actually it's only 2 years old. And finally, a few visits ago, my mom and I went together with both our cars. I think the same kid who helped me today was talking to the other guy behind my car and my mom heard since she was right behind me. He said something along the lines of "tell her that she needs a new ____" I honestly forget what it was they were trying to sell me on. But my mom heard and brought it up to the old manager there,Charles, who I'm not sure works there anymore now. Haven't seen him lately. But he took care of it, immediately reprimanding them and apologizing to both of us. So it's not the first time they've tried to rip me off. So needless to say I feel annoyed with them and think I won't go there anymore after years of going to them. I went for the convenience but it's not convenient for someone to try to charge you for something you don't need. I even asked the kid helping me how much it would cost, totally out of curiosity with no intentions of letting them replace it. They said it would be $170 alone. And with my oil change that's almost $300. Yeah ok. No. I'm livid they even tried. read more

Just went there for my usual oil change, I've been going to this place for years, from the second I drove in the two guys that helped me Chris and another guy that seemed to be so stoned or sleepy to be working there. I called ahead for a quote and spoke to the main office.. I own a European car that uses synthetic oil so it was on the expensive side-- $164.00 after the $10 coupon from the their website. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait. There were 3 guys working that day, all of whom got to work immediately. Great customer service! I give this place 5 stars because the staff is always so courteous and helpful. My one complaint is that they talked me into changing my cabin filter and the cost was $44.00, I could of actually purchased this filter for about $15.00. Had great experience here today! My first time having a "stay in your car" oil change and I LIKED IT. From the minute I got there the staff was exceptional. I parked my car not knowing it was a drive thru and Jesse quickly came to greet me to see what I needed and explained. Once I got in the garage, everything was explained to me, felt no pressure, was totally comfortable and yes it may be a "bit" more expensive than my usual oil change but so worth it. The entire staff was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional, wish I would have remembered everyone's name but I do remember Jesse who took the lead on my service from the get go and he was awesomeI The free car wash was a nice added surprise! Came in at 8:30 AM and got serviced right away. They were friendly and explained things to me that didn't make me feel stupid or uncomfortable. When they made recommendations about certain services my car needed at the time, they explained it in full and even physically showed me. Prices seem reasonable and they also gave me a veterans discount. Very prompt and quick with the service--they don't waste time and get right down to business. Charles and his staff always taking care of my car & my wife's. They definitely know their stuff and care about CUSTOMER SERVICE which unlike others do not.
