I just realized jiffylube is a scam. They have a machine taking out only certain amount of oil around 3 quarts which they can tell through a see through machine. Then they top off with 3 1/2 quarts to top off and this way it still shows its full. I needed an oil change before summer vacation. No wait, prompt service. I wasn't surprised that my car needed new front brake pads and rotors when they informed me. Told me about 10% left on the pads and that I should replace soon (no hard sell!!) Normally I wouldn't trust my Q5 to a shop that doesn't specialize in Audi, but knew the brake pads were almost gone, so decided to give them a shot before our 800 mile road trip. They completed all the work right away, was out of there in about 90 minutes or so. However, when we got all the way to our destination, the left front brake was seizing, but released after a little bit. Brakes worked fine as long as I didn't hit them hard, but would seize some if I did brake hard. Called Jiffy Lube and they offered to have me go to a local shop to have them checked out, on their dime, if was their fault. Since we were in a remote area with no auto repair shops close, we were careful for the week, and decided to drive home and have them check out the problem. Made it back fine. Went back to the Howell location. Again, no waiting, they took my car right in and discovered a minor issue with the brake shims they installed. They apologized for the inconvenience, corrected the problem right away, and I was back on the road in no time. Team there was courteous, helpful, very professional, and admitted their mistake immediately. That is what I would call excellent customer service!! This place is a joke and I'll certainly never return. First off, the crew out on the floor was so loud you could hear their conversations from the office dropping f-bombs every other word. With that said, I could care less about that - it's shop talk. Fine. Then do your job. They obviously gun-decked this service report because according to the paperwork, they revisited tire pressure to be 35 psi. Well, (a) I never once saw one person check this and (b) I even drove it down the road a bit just to make sure the sensor wasn't cold or something. Blatant lie about what they did. When I asked the CSA which service they performed, the 35000 or 40000 mile maintenance she said "the shorter one" and the "shorter one" as she called it obviously calls for a tire rotation which NEVER occurred either. I've been involved in Service in a variety of industries for 25 plus years and I would never lie to a customer about service performed and then document that it was completed. Avoid this place. If they are lying about simple things like air pressure and rotating tires, who knows what other corners they will cut to swindle money from you. read more

I would like to start out by saying we have been loyal customers for at least 10 years. On June 27th I took my husband's suv for a routine oil change. It has been determined that the service techs over filled the oil, which ultimately caused the vehicle to not operate past 50mph. Thank god the sensors in new cars, otherwise we might not be here any longer. We were on a family road to trip to SC, traveling the PA turnpike when this occurred. I reached out to the store and spoke with Frank. He was competent, timely and diligent with getting to the bottom of the situation. Apparently, he reached out to his district manger, who never once reached out to us. The end result was since this is a company car, everything must go through the vendor, "Fleet." What happened to humanity? This situation goes beyond the repairs and one month long rental car being covered by my husband's company. They didn't care about our safety or out of pocket expenses occurred. This is not the "thank you " I would expect for being a long time, loyal customer. Okay I needed an oil change very bad. I live in somerset and have one by me but I was not going to be in the area in a while. Even though I do go to the jiffy lube there. But no more. The customer service from pulling in and leaving was by far the best service I had from this company. The smiles and cleanliness of this establishment was perfect. To top it off unlike the one by me I got a free car wash from another location that I guess there working with.i was in and out within 15 min. It was a relaxing enjoyable first start to my day. Big Mistake ! I usually get my oil changed at the Howell Location and the Manager Highly Recommended that I change my Transmission Fluid so I did ! (Big Mistake) cause they cracked my transmission pan in the process . I later found out from a big puddle of fluid in my driveway so I quickly returned to talk to the Manager Tommy that explained to me that "THIS IS THE CHANCE YOU TAKE" when they do this . REALLY?? and was sent on my way leaking fluid as I pulled away . As a result I got it fixed from a Quilified Mechanic ($250 later) . I later decided to contact the regional manager Vic and he was not much help making me feel Rushed off the phone !! Been going here for awhile, always been pretty good but earlier this week I brought my truck in for the first visit, and was extremely disappointed. Apparently they had to remove a skid plate from the bottom on my 2013 F150 to change the oil, but they didn't but it back on correctly and it was dragging under my truck while driving home. Someone flagged me down on the road to let me know, looks like the two front bolts were not put on, so it flipped over under itself which caused all the mounting metal to twist out of place. I called the store and the "manager" told me that "technically once it leaves the lot they are no longer responsible for it", and said to bring it in and they would check it out. I didn't like his tone, so I didn't go back, nor will I or my family members in the future. Wow! I had an oil change today, and mentioned to the tech that I had a tail light out. He said he was about to mention that. When I got home, I noticed it was still out, so I went back. The tech came out and was very confused, and pointed to the light he'd replaced. It turns out I had three bulbs out, not just one. I have always been very impressed by Jiffy Lube's customer service, professionalism and courtesy. It clearly states in the waiting room Jiffy Lube University certificates "our management training" the skills required by a manager are customer service, leadership, operational excellence, coaching, and business management. It is also states "our service standards training...each Jiffy Lube technician has a role with specific duties and task. Jiffy Lube training provides technicians with the knowledge and skill to work together as a coordinated team to deliver your Jiffy Lube Signature Service. I would like to address a serious flaw in your customer service chain of commands. On June 12, 2017 I arrived without an appointment for an oil change on my personal vehicle 2016 Lincoln MKX. At that time it was brought to my attention that my vehicle had a "disposable oil plug" which was not in stock at that time. My oil was "topped off" and I was sent on my way and asked to return the following day. I was unable to return the following day, therefore making time in my schedule on June 23, 2017. Before showing up to Jiffy Lube unannounced I called to confirm whether the "disposable plug" was in stock. At the time I spoke with Nathan Rosenthal. Nathan reported the oil plug was not in stock. Shortly thereafter Nathan left me a message that the "oil plug" was actually in. This morning, June 26, 2017 I called Jiffy Lube to confirm the "oil plug" was set aside for my vehicle. I spoke with Richard James. Richard stated that the "oil plug" was not available as "Alex" was the employee handling this and he was not in today. I proceed to explain the chain of events that followed and the phone message left for me by Nathan. Richard began to speak over me in a condescending way. I paused for a moment asking Richard if he could hear me ok, or was this a bad phone connection because I was appalled by his unprofessional behavior. He continued to speak over me dismissing my concerns. I reiterated that Nathan left me a message and was Nathan available to speak with. Richard replied: "he's floating around her someplace". placing me on hold. Nathan took my call confirming that yes, the oil plug was available. I made a verbal arrangement at that time that I would be on my way to the shop at noon. Upon arriving I asked the female cashier if I could speak with Rich. After about 10 minutes Rich approached me shaking hands to introduce myself and wanting to clarify if he had a hard time hearing me this morning while on the phone. His response was "It didn't actually go like that". I replied "so you intentionally were speaking over me?" Rich replied, "i guess". I seriously couldn't believe my ears at the level of unprofessionalism coming from someone in a management position. Richard stated he had nothing to do with my "oil plug" and that was another team members responsibility. Team collaboration is clearly not up to standards and Richard James is an embarrassment to the Jiffy Lube standards of practice. I was in a few years ago for an oil change, not the first time, and they always try to upsell services that aren't needed. They told me I needed my coolant flushed, it was really dirty and original coolant when the car was new. The car was 6 years old, and was at the dealer for some other work a few months prior. I could've sworn I flushed the coolant then. The mechanic swore that this was the original fluid, based upon the color and condition. I was very reluctant, but gave in. after spending aprox. $60 for the flush, I went home and looked through my receipts. Sure enough, the coolant was replaced. and I DO KNOW the coolant was a different color than original because i called the dealer to question them. I contacted corporate, and the best they could do was contact the shop and have the owner call me. I called and called and never got ahold of him, gave up and swore never to go there again. They always will try to upsell you on everything from air filters to wiper blades even if you're only showing early signs of wear, however - That's ok, it's their job right. I've worked at this location and recently quit do to lack of responsibility. I was called in the office with an employee that had been there for some time on my second day of employment. He was reprimanded for not tightening lug nuts on the driver side of a customers car after a tire rotation. The lug nuts were on the ground next to the car as it was pulled out of the service bay. Then there were just basic tasks that are supposed to be conducted as part of the Signature Service that just were not. Such as not vacuuming or only washing some windows. Not to mention improper air pressures being applied to or not even checking tire pressure. Now that might not seem that like much, but if windows, tires and vacuuming are such a hard task to execute correctly, what else is being incorrectly executed as part of your service? All you can see as a paying customer from the waiting room windows are just those services I explained not being done on every car that goes through the shop. And I will put this out there so there isn't any discrepancy about this. I AM NOT a disgruntled empleyee. I have run lube shops in the past, and am very familiar as to how these establishments should be run. This shop is run very in effectively. With a very flawed chain of command that are not on the same page. BUYER BEWARE!!! The only reason there is a 1 star rating is because Yelp mandates it. I give 0 stars!! read more

Everytime i go i just want an oil change and they make it a big problem when you dont fix other problems they find Was lied to about prices. I told the mechanic i wanted the $40 oil change and then the other guy comes out and asks me if were going to use a specific oil which i assume would be what i asked for , the $40 one. So far one of the best chain shops around. I take one of our cars there regularly for regular Maintence and for the past several years they are always courteous, seem to be honest and do not up sell services until they are needed. Keep this in mind if you service you car with them regularly they will bring up the scheduled maintenance that is required such as a coolant flush, air filter, trans fluid etc. BUT keep yourself a record because if you happen to go to another shop or dealer they will tell you that you need to do it and you may have just had it done. They are also honest about for example if you air filter is getting dirty but it not that bad they will tell you to wait until your next visit which I like.
