Got an oil change and apparently the techs didn't put on my undercarriage plate on correctly and I lost it down the road. Came back and they gave me I think 10 bucks off my next oil change. Would not recommend. read more

After using Valvoline for a few years now to change my oil in 3 vehicles, as well as, 5 fleet trucks for work. I am no longer going to use them. Their tech got really snippy with me over using a coupon for service, when asked to talk to the manager, his reply was he will tell you the same thing. The manager came over and had a chip on his shoulder. The issue was I've always used coupons for oil changes including when I bring my own oil. The manager even looked up my account history and denied that I received discounts, until I pointed out that I had clearly on his screen. Most of their coupons state "with full service oil change", however some of their coupons just state "xx% off your next service". This is misinformation on their part. So basically they are losing my business + the business I bring them with my fleet vehicles and obviously all of my friends that I will inform about this experience. I will never step foot in a Valvoline again! Bad customer service. You should teach your techs to stay calm and not get in arguments with customers. Valvoline should train their managers to have better conflict resolution skills. Ultimately Valvoline has lost a customer over an $8 discount. That doesn't seem like wise business practice in my book. read more

All three employees worked quickly (including the manager) and seemed to be following a memorized check list that included inspecting brake lights and turn signals. Each employee took a moment to say hello and good-bye. The price for a tire rotation was high but we were offered a coupon code that reduced the price a little. They changed the oil and rotated the tires in about 45 minutes. We will definitely return for future oil changes. read more

During oil change technician said I had a massive oil leak so bad that could not pin point where. Gave me names of local mechanic shops. Took it to my own no leak at all. Not even a minor one. Do not recommend this place to anyone. Must be in cahoots with local shops. read more

My car wouldn't start at the gas station next to this, so my boyfriend went over to see if these folks would come jump it and check the battery. They had us come through to their shop, checked everything for us, sent us us to Subaru since it's under warranty. I was on vacation in the area in October 2015 when my oil light came on. I pulled up and they had me pull in to the service bay immediately. They began their overall inspection, including lights, turn signals, windshield wipers and more. THESE GUYS ARE GOOD! No, make that, THESE GUYS ARE GREAT!!! They carefully explained what the issue was, how to rectify it, and what my options were. I wound up having several services done because, what the hell, I was there and they had time to do it and it needed to be done. I was back on the road in less than an hour. LESS THAN AN HOUR, FOLKS!!! They asked if I could come back in a couple days for a re-check, but I explained I was leaving that day. They explained the warranty on all work done, and said I could stop in at any Valvoline location if I had any questions or problems. Above average, outstanding, fantastic customer service. If I lived closer, I would take my vehicles to these guys - as it is, I hope everyone in the Grand Junction/Fruita area makes the trip to see them. What am I happiest with? Try not to laugh - they put the best windshield wipers EVER on my vehicle. The previous ones were so old they literally crumbled when they were being removed. The new ones are literally the best I have ever had, on any vehicle in over 20 years of driving. Would I recommend them? Happily, absolutely, without hesitation. read more

My air conditioning gave out on my way west so I stopped at this place to have it checked out. I drove right into the bay the guy diagnosed it first thing, guessing there was a leak because the compressor was running and the AC clutch was engaging. I decided to flush the system and try to make it to CA before the freon ran out. After about 20 minutes, the guy comes around and tells me there isn't a leak - he removed the contents of the system and it was full; so he put the contents back in and suggested I take it to the dealer to look at the clutch - and he didn't charge me a penny for a half hour of his time. This was above average service. I wish I lived near so I could give him my regular business. read more

I had an emergency sound go on in my car while driving to Fruita for business. The brake lights were stuck on. I couldn't find anything to do according to my car manual. I contemplated just unhooking the battery; even though it didn't seem very wise. I found Joel Ks' review, asked the motel manager how to get to the business, and drove straight over.
