When I asked the staff a good coin based self wash car wash in the area they pointed me to velocity. It was perfect. I have three vehicles that I take to this location to get my oil changed and this morning they would not let me get oil changed and park my vehicle in parking lot next-door to nail salon where I had an appointment. They just lost three vehicles. I came by here two days ago and they had a leak in their pit and couldn't change anyone's. That is definitely inconsistent service I do not recommend this location. read more

My car is 6 months old and has 4400 miles on it. I just got my 2nd oil change at this place in this car and they informed me I'm missing 5 bolts on my skid plate. They also told me you have to remove the skid plate to change the oil. They also told me that the skid plate bolts sometimes "just fall out". But hey, they do a fast oil change. read more

One of the fastest oil changes I've had and all due to the amazing communication between the workers. They were like a well "oiled" machine ( sorry I had to ), seriously they went through my entire truck and it was nice to see. Sysco was the man helping at the computer and Joe was running the show for the engine. I couldn't see the guy underneath but could hear them talking to each other. I have been going to this Valvoline for a few years now, and I have to say, they exceed my expectations every time. Here they are fast, honest, and kind. This is the best customer service you will ever get when getting your oil changed. I also want to mention that they have other services as well like tire rotations and battery replacements. I am pretty sure there is more, this is just what I have done. They also offer coupons on their website, or if they have your email, they'll send better coupons for when its time to get an oil change. To me, Valvoline is pretty cost efficient, for the service provided. I highly recommend coming here for auto services. read more

I went today (2/17) for an oil change. The staff was quick and efficient. I was in and out in less than 25 minutes! Tristen was one of the men who waited on me and he gave great customer service. This place is a completely joke. I took my car here thinking it would leave in a better condition. I got an oil change here and after 4 days my oil is completely drained. Then was told from customer service that someone would be out to check it and resolve the issue the following day just to find out they're closed. Why tell someone one thing and not act upon it. I've taken my vehicle to many places and I've never experienced this. This is another day I'm without my vehicle due to their screw up. I would understand if myself were the one to work on my vehicle because I'm no mechanic but for someone who took classes/ training to do something like this shows a lot. Never going here again after they undo this mess of theirs. UPDATE Monday November 23: I had to follow up with valvoline, they didn't, what a disgrace of customer service. Then, when I did talk to someone, they barely knew of the situation. But on Saturday when I talked to "corporate" they do confidently told me that the message would be relayed when it clearly wasn't. DO NOT GO HERE!! Horrible experience! They didn't tighten my oil filter and oil leaked everywhere. My drive belt was so soaked with oil it could've broken off. Due to their ineptness, it cost me $720 to fix the damage done! Stay away from this place!!! read more

Valvoline Instant Oil Change Check your cameras from when the black Tundra showed up then the Green tacoma, somehow was told green tacoma was there first, I asked the employee how that could be, considering he was behind me for a few minutes until he got sent to the other lane employee then said, "if I didn't like it I could go to one of your sister service shops!!" Are you kidding me, waited 30 min cause guy in front had a diesel so they take a little longer but to have someone else jump is front is total B.S. been going to you guys for years... left and won't be back!! read more

On my 2nd oil change, the drain plug wasn't secure afterwards. Oil sprayed all over the engine compartment. Thankfully I took my car to my mechanic 2 days later & he found it. Do I know what happens to an engine when the oil is gone? Why yes, yes I do. Also, although they don't work on transmissions, the plug for checking the fluid was completely stripped. I can't explain this one except to ask... coincidence?? So I had and extra day at my mechanics for cleaning and now a trip to a transmission shop. Boo hiss! read more

The last two times I have taken vehicles there the tell me all of this stuff is leaking and wrong with the vehicle. Then they recommend a certain shop. I have personally checked and also had another shop check these vehicles and there was nothing leaking. They are trying to rip people off. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Simply put, It was the best experience I've ever had at an oil changing business...ever. No waiting in line, professional service and I didn't even have to get out of my car. Zimzamhotdamn! Did that just take 15 minutes? Howwwww? This is why I will never go anywhere but Valvoline for oil changes. Note: the $7 coupon only works if you use Valvoline oil. I'd brought my own, so it didn't apply. Oil change was $30 and change when all was said and done. They topped off all my fluids and got me back on my way. I mean, what else can you say? Visited my usual Valvoline location for an oil change, and was told to get a slight oil leak checked out after they did the initial inspection. I asked what it possibly could be, and the guy said "I don't know, I'm not a mechanic". They also informed me they replaced the drain plug and gasket for me (for which i was charged) since I drive a Subaru and it requires a special drain plug and gasket. The next day, I took my car in to my "real" mechanic, and it turns out Valvoline used an after market/incorrect drain plug and gasket, so my brand new oil was literally dripping out from the bottom. I had to pay for an entire new 5qts of oil and the real drain plug and gasket. I will be contacting customer care, and will never return to a quick-change like Valvoline. Pathetic. read more

I needed an oil change and tire rotation, then the engine light came on, code said I needed 2 solenoids changed. I bought the parts and stopped at this location. The people are great they did the work, even though I bought the part from NAPA, and honored my 15 percent off coupon. This is a very well run shop. read more

Horrible. 2 of the tire caps missing. They spilled radiator fluid all over my car. Under inflated my tires. Told them I wanted more air, they would not get it. Now my sensor is going off. read more

This morning I went to the Valvoline Oil Change at 2444 Patterson. I stopped the car in the bay and quickly put on my mask. The Technician that greeted wasn't wearing a mask which is currently mandatory in Colorado. I explained that I am 3 weeks post COVID and I am more concerned for him than me since I most likely have anti-bodies and I'm not susceptible for a little while. (The CDC and Mesa County has cleared me to be out and about after my quarantine period) He put his mask on. I got home and double checked the oil. It was easily 1 quart over full. (Subaru in town verified this). I went back to Valvoline and explained that I checked the oil level and it was too full. The lady who greeted me asked me if I knew how to check the dipstick. I assured them that being 61 years old, I knew how to check the level of the oil. I just asked them if they could they take a little oil out. One of the technicians said, "Why don't you just go to Subaru and give COVID to them". I told the technician to close the hood and I left and went to Subaru. The folks at Subaru were great. We are able to make an impact with where we spend our money. Valvoline has lost my 15 years of business. I would suggest not supporting this particular Valvoline. read more

Stopped in today on their Lady's day (Tuesdays) for an oil change. We've been told in the service industry we can't have something good and fast for cheap- and the guys at this location on Patterson proved it to be a lie!!! I pulled up around 9:30 am without a wait, got to stay in my car, and have a nice conversation with the guy while they performed the oil change. In a wold where time is money I'm glad to say my '15 Chevy Cruze and I had great service in less than 13 minutes with $10 off for the lady's day. Around $50/60 for maybe twenty minutes tops? Keep in mind I never left my car :) Worth every penny and I'll definitely be back! read more

Hello fellow yelps I got a full synthetic oil change the employees are awesome very courteous and have good communication between everyone about what's going on and what type of oil and they make sure and check your oil your oil pressure before you leave just in case they also check your tire pressure and top off all your fluids that need to be topped off the very good place to go to and they also let you stay in your vehicle and very very fast oil change and I would highly recommend this place to do your oil changes. read more

Been taking all my personal and company trucks and cars to Valvoline Instant Oil Change for years. Nowhere do they tell you in the store, that they only check differential fluids on request. Gee, why would I expect them to service the underside of a truck while they are doing everything else, including checking air pressure in the tires? To find out that they do not do differentials, there is no sign in their store. You have to search their web site and in an obscure location under a corporate link, there it is, "Differentials, if requested." So when I detect a hot differential a week after having a truck serviced by Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Grand Junction Colorado, and I go in and talk to them, they say "I'm sorry. Our Area Manager says we can give you $20 off your next oil change". Wow, how generous. They routinely send me coupons for $15 off. Great, but incomplete service. What else don't they do? read more

Took my car in for oil change and attendant told me I needed 0-20 weight oil and it said on the cap to use synthetic oil. It was the first time I'd had the oil changed so I said OK. Later I saw that the first choice on the oil cap was 0-20 weight and there was no mention of synthetic oil. This ended up costing me more than $20 extra. I was ripped off! read more
