Drove up for an oil change they said about 15-20 wait. More than an hour later, I'm still waiting. Multiple cars behind me on both sides continued ahead and no one came over to let me know what's going on. Give someone a heads up or move me over to another line. It's disappointing to say the least. This never happened before and I've a long time Valvoline customer. I been to locations with long waits and they'd always communicate and come update you. It didn't for them to do everything they needed to do. I had to remind them to add pressure to the tires when they were done with everything. They showed me the oil. They just walked away and left my car hanging. There was a guy that opened up the air filter and just left it open someone else had to go and screw it back on properly. I would NOT take my car there, EVER AGAIN! Especially after going here for 14 years!! Bought my car with cash, 2nd owner, salvage title bc Ins. "Totalled" it After small accident, REAR SIDE PANEL ONLY. NO DENTS, SCRATCHES OR LEAKS(PIN HOLE RADIATIR LEAK FIXED) During oil change had a weird incident, they over looked, I tried too but AFTER MY VISIT, LEAKING OIL, threw EngineCodes, crappy gas mileage, crappy performance. After taking it back 3 times and a claim entered. After 3 way telephone conversation,them stating I need to prove that it has code issues. Ran codes, printed and emailed back to them ...No call, no show, no more emails! Now, I find out that there are missing/leaky lifters and filters all to go with oil pressure related issues that Valvoline damaged my engine and won't admit TO fault AFTER BEING A LONG LONG TIME CUSTOMER OF 14 YEARS, IN LIBERTY FOR 28 YEARS, this is what I get....A car repair up to $3k when I bought a PERFECT RUNNING TRUCK THAT WAS DONE BY INCOMPETENT ROOKIE WORKER, WHO HAPPEN TO HAVE BEEN FIRED A WEEK OR 2 AFTER MY OIL Change and before I brought my car back the first time..(took witness) oh and I told the Mgr to go look at the video/audio of the oil change in question bc I pretty much yell WTF and there was panic in the kids eye in my window telling me turn it off turn it off!!!! Poor service and lack of communication. I wanted an oil change but ended up with my car stuck in the pit. They were so focused on blaming me rather than helping. I was told the bay was ready. Went in for a full oil change (by the way ask about a coupon) and they fixed pressure on my tires, checked a the cabin filter that I didn't even know needed changed (it has never been changed!) and ended up teaching me a lot more about my car than anyone else I've worked with. Oil spills on my garage floor twice. During this last visit, they take the (clean - I changed it myself) air filter out to hold in front of me, go through the robo-explanation (while staring off into space) of why it is important to have a clean air filter so that I can say - um, the filter is clean? Then - they APPARENTLY did not bother to reconnect the mass airflow sensor on the filter housing - SO - after my "service engine soon" light comes on, I take it in to a shop to determine the problem and am told (for $85) that this sensor is just simply hanging there. The lady was the Manager for the 151st store (will quite possibly be a GM one day). The guy was from the Santa Fe Branch (A Marine). These two fixed everything on the spot and knew exactly what was wrong from the "get go"! It has been on a steady downhill slide since the pandemic, 10 goons standing around talking and ignoring work that needs to be done, I was in line this morning and I witnessed 2 vehicles leave the garage in 1:15 minutes! I went to get my oil changed, and they completed it in about five minutes, which already gave me a bad feeling that they didn't check everything. as soon as i leave my car starts to misfire and the check engine light comes on. i take it back there and tell them that, and they had the nerve to say it must just be an "unfortunate coincidence" (basically telling me it wasn't their problem) i take it to my fiancée's dad, we open up the air filter box, and i guess he couldn't get the air filter in right so he just LAID IT IN THERE. I'm gonna have to go with 3 overall because of the value. The customer service would be a 5. I recently had a negative experience with a local Ford Dealership (Gary Crosley) so I stopped going there for oil changes. Instead I went to Valvoline . It was fast, efficient l, and the service was good. The price however was not. Ended up paying about 83$ after taxes. For a regular oil change. Nothing fancy. Ford dealership is less than 50$. I will only go back in a pinch but likely I'll be looking elsewhere for regular oil changes. read more

I went in today with my 2014 Subaru outback to have a lower headlight replaced. I happen to know that this is simply a matter of taking three pin clips out of the wheel well in order to access the back of the light. My husband and I have done it before, but I am traveling and thought it would be easier to stop in and have someone do it. They made me pop the hood, and when I told them that that's not how you access this light, they literally ignored me. When I was adamant, the first guy said he would have to get his manager. When the "manager" came out, he also refused to listen to me and started talking about taking brackets out from underneath the hood, and that it would take awhile to complete the project and refused to listen to what I was saying. It's been a long time since I've been so mansplained in my life. Needless to say, I'm taking my car somewhere else to have this simple repair done. read more

This place is by my house and we take our cars here for regular oil changes. They are quick and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and as a female I don't feel like I have a target on my back when I walk in. Plus go before 10am any day and get $8 off for the Early Bird Special. One complaint is the waiting room is kinda grungy and the coffee is terrible. So I always take a walk to Quik Trip next door and grab a drink while I wait. It's never taken more than 20 minutes when I've been there. read more

This was my first time in using their service. I got a $25 off coupon in ValuMail, and decided to give them a try. My car uses 100% synthetic oil recommended from the factory. All said and done for that service with the coupon was $48.06. I thought that was a fair and reasonable price for the service. The techs were all very nice, and I liked the fact that I got to stay in the car while they were working on it, as I absolutely hate sitting in waiting rooms. I got there about 10 minutes after they opened at 9 on a Sunday morning, and there were 3 cars ahead of me. Once I got inside it took about 20 to 25 minutes to get everything done. I was out by 10. My car is a 2021 model Kia K5. The tech told me that they happened to have 1 filter left that fit my vehicle, but he assured me that they were going to make sure to order more for my model vehicle, as they were seeing more and more of them. I appreciated that. Judging by some of the other reviews...I guess I am just easy to please. They did a great job, for a reasonable price...and were very friendly to boot. I purchased a Groupon from Groupon during the COVID pandemic. (The picture wouldn't upload but the Manager Eric added "customer tried to use a Groupon that was expired from a year ago" into my profile from the oil change visit that occurred 12/2021). The entire country was shut down and working from home. Thus oil changes weren't needed as frequently. Reading the remarks made by the Manager Eric at the Valvoline in Liberty, MO, that all employees can view, is why minorities should stay away from Valvoline in Liberty, MO, off 152 and 291 hwy. The comment is misleading and doesn't accurately inform the reader of the specifics but implies a negative notion. Unfortunately, I'm all too familiar with the unjust and unfair treatment; reading Eric's comments accurately reflected how poorly he treated and spoke to me during the transaction. Not treating me as a first responder and sacrificing my life daily, including during the pandemic, but the opposite. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND! In the past they have lost bolts from the skid plates on my vehicle, fastened it with one or two 'zip ties' and never told me they lost the bolts! Other times they have stripped out the threads for the bolts that hold up the skid plates on my vehicle and had not told me they did this! They always add more air to the tires that the vehicle manufacturor recommends. This causes odd wear patterns on the tires where the center of the tread wears out before the rest of the tread pattern - causing me to spend more money on more frequent tire replacements! They have drained a portion of my transmission fluid when they were supposed to be draining the oil! The have sprayed oil on the side of my vehicle! They have not reset the "Maint. Required' light after the oil change! read more

I did see some negative reviews but have only had good experiences here. The most recent time, I had an oil leak when I happened to go in for a change (I didn't know about this leak and was lucky I went when I did). This wasn't a leak they could fix, but they topped my oil off for free so that I could safely get it to a shop. Very nice! read more

They seemed friendly when I drove up to wait for an oil change. Racial slurs and shop talk once I was in..."White people..." was the comment made and it's too bad it's their first time here. I had a Groupon and they didn't secure my skid plate cover. The next day when I was delivering orders in Kansas City others were informing me that something was dangerously dragging under my car. I had to stop working so that I could fix what could have been worse damage on my vehicle. I don't suggest getting your vehicle serviced here. The kids working knowingly did this, didn't inform me that they didn't have the tools to secure this piece and put my life and others in danger. Incompetent and ignorant. I went in for an oil change and no less than a mile from leaving, I couldn't accelerate, had black smoke coming out the exhaust, and at times had no power. I took it back, they said they did nothing wrong, re-did the oil change, and then I had no power. They had to push me to Midas. They insisted to Midas it wasn't their fault. Two hours later, Midas called me and it was fixed. Morons put 12 quarts of oil in it, but put it in the transmission tank and emptied. Midas didn't charge me and said they'd take the bill to Valvoline. When I called, they wouldn't refund me because they did an oil change. They almost ruined my car! I will never return to them and caution anyone who goes. read more

Told me it was a 60 month battery when it was 84 month AND their " battery tester" that showed a bad battery did not agree with another outside battery test that showed good and normal power. Wonderful. Drove in with the kids in the car. No one had to get out of the car. The manager seems to have created a pleasant and helping environment which made me and my family feel comfortable. The bathroom as would be expected where a bunch of guys changing oil work. The demeanor and lack of hard up-selling was pleasant.
