If I could give a zero I would. The manager named Will is a straight up liar! He told me in March to take my truck to have it checked for a freon leak, BUT DON'T let someone else charge it up because I get a FREE recharge there since I had it serviced there last summer. I went today to get my free recharge and another manager, Ryan (RUDE), said a free recharge has to be within 30 days of service. I had it serviced last summer. Was told by WILL in March that I get a free recharge! That is waaaaaaay over 30 days! So, Will is a liar and Ryan is a rude asshole! I will NOT be going there again for anything EVER! read more

I rarely give 5 stars but I'm going out on a limb to give Valvoline a 5 star rating. I've been coming to this particular location for a while now. Several years actually. It was the first oil change place that I'd ever been to that offered the ability to stay in your car while they changed your oil. This company is amazing. Not only can you stay in your car but they are super friendly and offer a military discount. Sitting there with my windows down listening to their communications is amazing too. They sound like a military operation as they call out their steps and the pit crew supervisor marks off the checklist in his head to ensure every step is completed. Also the safety steps I've seen them change over the years is great. They went from just making you shut the engine off to making you put your key into a metal box to ensure you don't mistakenly start your car while they are working on it. If you need an oil change, stop by your local Valvoline and sit back and prepare to be treated like a King/Queen. read more

Although it's not anything personal against the nice people working there, I will never go to Valvoline express oil change in ooltewah TN again as this is the second time I've gone to that establishment and they've had a vehicle that's having a lot of issues and they don't redirect the cars when there's plenty of room to do so and they let the other cars go through a lot faster and they've been there not half as long as we have. I'm not doing that and so I decided as of right now while I'm waiting in line to go to express oil change in the same area instead and I've only got two cars in front of me. Although the people were nice working it, this establishment and I was polite in complaining. I can't stand by and watch people not redirect lines when other people are getting service quicker than me and the other car that's been there twice as long. There's no excuse for that. They need to be retrained which is not their fault if they haven't been trained to do so. read more

Dale especially goes out of his way to explain anything I don't understand and always goes the extra mile to check that everything's working properly (I have a high-mileage vehicle). I have gone here multiple times for oil changes and a fuel induction on my car. They are always all super friendly and helpful. They are not pushy trying to upcharge the most they do is let you know what might be due on the car. I took my car there today cause the front tire is low and they checked all my tires and put air in them with no hassel or charge. Like taking your car into the Dr for a checkup. They Noticed cv boot leaking as well as oil pan, they don't service these items but good to know so I can get that taken care of elsewhere. Know what maintenance items your car has had recently because they will show you a list of needed routine service needs. Just went by after thinking I had gotten a wrong cabin air filter because of humming from my A/C. Not only did I have the CORRECT one, they were able to find a candy wrapper that found its way into my vent duct that I could not find after looking myself. The first time I went to this store my oil light came on not even two days after getting my oil changed so I took it back and the guy reset my light and told me it looks like I need an oil change even though I JUST had it changed two days prior. Whatever, I went back a second time for them to call me five minutes later after changing my oil to tell me they forgot to put my oil cap back on. So, stupidly and completely out of convenience I give them one more try and I get in my car the next day to a flapping noise because they didn't screw the underneath portion back on to my car. I've had a different person change my oil each time but every time I have gotten someone obviously not certified to do their job. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I would give this zero stars if I could. These people do not know how to perform oil changes on Volkswagen cars. My husband brought the car in for a quick oil change on a Monday. Due to the incompetence of some employee we had to have our car taken to a VW dealership for them to replace the oil pan, gasket, and do a proper oil change on the car. We will not be getting our car back until the following Monday. The Valvoline manager did not have our car sent to the VW dealership until Thursday. Upon talking to actual mechanics, they were in disbelief that a simple oil change could be screwed up so badly that it takes 7 whole days to complete it. Normal oil changes take roughly one and a half hours. This place is beyond ridiculous. My husband and I had to miss several days of work because we were only here for a few days to visit family for the Easter holiday. We are not only dissatisfied with this Valvoline location, but the company as a whole. A company can only be as good as its weakest link and this link is absolutely unprofessional, under qualified, and has no accountability to the grief they have caused us. read more

Do not use the Fort Oglethorpe, GA location, they do not check anything they say they check. I left out of there Thursday Night with them saying all fluids were full and they checked everything and I was broke down with the power steering pump not working the next day due to them not checking the fluid and pump run dry. I had to pay for repairs because the manager Matt wouldn't do anything to help me while I was sitting on the side of the road waiting on someone to come help me. I went to get my oil changed and during the service a wrench slipped and sliced my coolant hose. The staff handled it ideally. I was refunded, the part was ordered and was replaced the next day. Waiting a few days to make sure everything stays good but I had a second mechanic take a look and he said everything seemed to be fine. read more

Fantastic business. My car started overheating as I was traveling from Cleveland to Chattanooga. I barely made it into the Valvoline parking lot before my car shut off. Logan, the assistant manager, jokingly came over and asked if my car was overheating. He told me to throw it in neutral and that we would push it out of the way to let it cool off. After attempting to put coolant in it (it was still too hot), he suggested we leave it there and he would take care of it. He said that it was no problem, that we could pick it up whenever and that he would leave a note if he found a leak. His staff was very professional as well.
