Valvoline on White Bluff in Savannah Ga put the wrong transmission fluid in my car! They "topped it off" when doing my oil change and the very next day it was jerking like crazy. Did you know it can cost over $3,000 to get your transmission replaced, and you will spend over $1,000 in rental cars while you are waiting? And then they won't respond for a month, and it will take another month to get the Mgr on the phone? And then they will try to deny it? I'd been going to this location for sometime. I noticed that my car was not getting fluids topped off. I tried one more time and last month I had another oil change. Just prior to pulling in, my engine light indicator came on and I told the attendant. He said all is ok and my battery was good. However, it was not. My clock was losing time and I stopped to give a disabled car a boost. I discovered that my problem came from corrosion on the battery cable ends. I immediately corrected the problem and the engine light went off. I had a coupon. Maybe this reduced the service I should have gotten? No more Valvoline! read more

Trustworthy and quick. I always take my cars to Valvoline. They have not been pushy with extra services (i.e., wipers and air filters). The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they don't carry all the valvoline oil options that Valvoline sells. If you need a tire rotation (as I did), only bay 1 has a lift, so if they change oil in another bay, you need to pull back around for tire service. BRING OWN OIL: I just learned you can bring your own oil. I have a high mileage car and wanted the high mileage full synthetic. They only carry most popular oil types, which wasn't one I had wanted. In the future, I will buy oil in advance and bring it with me. NO APPOINTMENTS - LONG LINES SOMETIEMS: I had no wait today, but that is not always the case. Since you can't schedule an appointment, it is first come, first served. Try to avoid popular times such as weekends, if possible. read more

Was ripped off by Valvoline (@ Waters Ave. near Eisenhower) on 12/11/2025 I went there today when, in accordance with my car's mileage minder A, I only needed an oil change. I should have asked how much it would cost before getting involved, but as soon as I pulled up I had 3 or 4 employees checking out everything else, like windshield wipers, transmission fluid, signals, and some other parts. It was then that the sales person posted on a screen that my cost would be a total of $84.19 That seemed like a lot for an oil replacement , and I might have refused but by that time the employees were checking everything so I agreed. I take really good care of my car and knew that all I needed was an oil change. They couldn't dispute that almost everything on my vehicle was okay but showed me a dip stick and was told the transmission fluid was dark and should be lighter so I should have it replaced ... and that they could do this while I was there. I refused. I also refused when the sales person said I could get a fuel injection supplement added to my tank at no charge; that although the supplement usually cost $20, he would reduce cost of oil change by this amount. I was already skeptical about their service so I refused. He also wanted to check the cabin filter, which is something I can change myself, so I refused. Nor did I comply with his request for my email or phone number. To sum things up, I feel I paid too much for an oil change. I didn't ask for an inspection regarding anything else, and wasn't about to trust this business no matter what they found. I won't go back there again. read more

The guys working here are very nice and respectful. They made me feel at ease going here and like they cared about my experience. I was not pressured to purchase more expensive products, I was just offered options and explained the differences. They didn't make me feel if I got the cheaper option there was a problem with that. The interior air filter they showed me and let me decide. I didn't have to get out of my car. I did of course have to turn the car off, so going a super hot afternoon might be a little painful. The wait wasn't very long. I had one car in front of me I had my windshield wipers changed with their cheapest option ($15 base or $30 rainx brand each) and they are great wipers! I decided to go here because I thought it might be cheaper than the dealership. It was expensive ($185) but I'm sure the dealership has gone up as well. read more

After further assessment of my vehicle at the dealership, they stripped the drain plug, the pan is damaged and needs to be replaced as well and I'll need new oil! The total for all of it is $478.89! Valvoline will pay me every penny! My lawyer is on speed dial! read more

Apparently Valvoline damaged my oil pan while changing the oil and put in a pan saver without informing me. Now no one will change the oil without replacing the oil pan which cost $600. Reported the issue to Valvoline and they refused to cover any of the costs. This speedy service oil change is costing me over $600. read more

i would leave zero if possible. was there for over an hour, they didn't know how to reset my oil life. then when i drove off, i heard noises under my car and when i looked they had left a drill attatched to the bottom of my car. a bunch of fucking idiots. i'm editing this because it's the next morning and i just got on the road and my car is warning me to "check oil level". do not use this company/location. they literally had no idea what they were doing and i guarantee once my car cools down and i check the oil level it will have been drained just the way all the other bad reviews have said. these employees should be fired and held responsible for costing so many people time and money. i've never been to a more incompetent business. read more

Absolutely horrible and unprofessional staff. As we arrived for a standard oil change, staff members were already talking bad about a previous customer who was unsatisfied with their services. Took them 50 minutes to even begin working on our vehicle even though they had already had our hood popped and had us inside a bay. They did not know how to properly reset our oil change meter, and laughed and joked about another customer not knowing whether their car was rear wheel or front wheel drive. After nearly an hour had passed, they finally began our oil change, in which none of the staff members seemed to know what they were doing, the one adding oil to our engine began to ask to his coworkers "is it even holding oil? is there a leak? did you put the oil plug back in?" obviously indicating to us that there was a problem, and that our engine was not getting the correct oil amount needed. the man doing the oil change then proceeded to clean and check the dipstick multiple times, obviously having a hard time telling if we had a sufficient amount of oil in our engine, he then called a manager over to check in which she replied "yeah that's okay"???? okay??? doesn't at all seem like a appropriate response when performing a service that could damage someone's vehicle beyond repair if done incorrectly. After all this was complete they then had attitudes towards us after we asked if we were close to being done (mind you we had been there for going on nearly an hour+ before they even began working on our vehicle) they finally cashed us out and we were on our way... barely making it out of the parking lot we heard a loud scraping noise coming from under our car, i got out and looked under our car to see a full size dewalt electric drill had been left under our vehicle and was still stuck in an upright position as if it was still being used. I called for a staff member to come retrieve their drill, as the other staff watched and laughed as if i was joking. As the staff member retrieved the drill, all he had to say was "damn that's crazy" and no apologies at all we're exchanged from the staff. I wanted to give these people the benefit of the doubt due to the fact it seemed like they had never worked on this type of vehicle before (2020 VW Jetta) but the fact that you leave a drill under a car and let us drive off with it, arises the question, what else did you not inspect under our car before letting us leave? fast forward not even 24 hours later, driving on the highway, our check oil level light comes on. clearly indicating a service we paid far too much for had been done improperly. Incredibly dissatisfied, and wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemies. Respectfully, get your shit together y'all. Before you fucking destroy someone's vehicle. read more

I would not give this particular franchise any stars. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change which initially I thought went well. Later that week, I was at a friends house parked in front of their garage on an upward hill, where the underside of my car was easily viewed. My friend noticed something hanging from underneath my car engine. He and his friend jacked the car up, where they could see that my engine plate had been bent down in half with one screw missing. Normally this plate should've been removed before changing the oil by unscrewing all three bolts. But what the Valvoline manager had done was removed one bolt and bent my engine cover down, changed my oil and then left the cover as is. I would never have noticed this had I not been visiting at this friends home. I would never bring my car back there again, And yes, I did go back to speak with the manager and he turned the conversation into a racial accusation to deflect from what he was responsible for doing. If you've ever had any work done at this particular business on Water Street near Eisenhower in Savannah, I would recommend that you check out the underneath of your engine and make sure that your engine plate is still intact or even there for that matter! read more
