I came to Valvoline for my first time on 11/3/17 for an oil change. I usually go to Oil Can Henry's, but I got a great coupon in the mail from Valvoline so I thought I would check it out. I didn't have to wait in line. Maybe I came at a good time? Michael was the tech working on my oil change. He was very friendly, welcoming, personable, and could share a good laugh. He explained things easily for me and I felt no pressure for other parts or services. Although I did purchase the cleaner with my oil change because I waited way too long to get an oil change. During the oil change, Michael pulled the dipstick out to check the oil after filling it, and the dipstick top broke off. He was very apologetic and said he would order a new one immediately. I was not mad at all. It was an accident. He said he hoped it would be ready by the next day and said he would call me. Sure enough he called me that next afternoon and I headed down there. Alonzo was there this time to help. They already knew what I needed as soon as I pulled in and they got right to work. Unfortunately the broken dipstick was stuck down in the pipe and they could not pull it out. He asked me to come out and look at what he was doing so I was aware. He had to remove some bolts and things to remove the pipe completely. He then fished out the old dipstick, put everything back together, and then put in the new dipstick. While he did this, he asked if I wanted some coffee or water while I waited. I am not a coffee drinker and it was too cold for water. I asked if they had any cocoa. He said no. I told him no worries, I will be fine. He secretly asked Michael to run and grab me a hot cocoa from Dutch Bros next door. I had no idea they did that and was totally surprised. They finished up replacing the dipstick and putting everything back. He helped me pull out of the shop. Michael came up and apologized again. I told him it was totally fine and not to worry. I was more than satisfied with the service I received and the hot cocoa from Dutch Bros was awesome. Alonzo thanked me for coming to Valvoline and hoped that I had a good experience. Before I left, I asked him how much it would cost to replace my rear windshield wiper. (It hasn't worked so great since I bought my car from a used lot). He said he would go check. He ran back in the shop. He replaced the wiper while I was waiting for him to return. I thought he was just going to go look up the pricing info, but he just went ahead and replaced the wiper at no charge to make me even more happy. I couldn't thank him enough. They seriously went above and beyond with their service for me and I will definitely be making this my new service station for my car!! Thanks!!! read more

I can't express how relieved I felt after My visit here yesterday(6-10-19). I got my oil change done, I also had my spark plugs replaced, transmission flushed and my radiator serviced. These were all services that were long over due that I had procrastinated. The gentlemen made me feel super welcomed and made sure that I knew everything was going to be handled in just that one visit. I thought I was going to have to find an auto body shop to get my car all fixed up but nope the guys reassured me they could do it all! Not only were they able to completely make my car run smooth again, they fully inspected my vehicle 100% rather than feeling rushed to get to the next customer, they fully communicated any issues they may have seen on my vehicle but most importantly they were extremely welcoming and friendly during my entire visit there! I had lost my car due to being a victim in a hit and run in May. I have had a hard time getting back on my feet and with my mom's cars transmission going out I was running out of time. My credit is not good enough for places like bird but Dillon called me and honestly I didn't want to be let down again. He talked to his manager and then his manager called me. They both told me to come on in and that they would do everything they could to get me in a car. Dillon sure a heck did! I am finally going to have a car again and with lower payments than I was paying going through a buy here/pay here place. Chevy of West helped bet me back in a car that was dependable AND safe. I went in when I was confused about some things happening with my blinkers. On a hot, sweaty, miserable Monday afternoon, these gentlemen went well out of their way to help me. I had 3 different people working their hardest just for me! This is a location where you will feel valued and not pressured to overspend. When looking at oil preferences, it was suggested to use a nicer one, but the gentleman emphasized that I still absolutely had the choice to go with the cheapest one, without an issue. The first time I went there I thought they were just being sweet the second time I went there they solve the problem on my car that I've brought 5 other mechanics who were trying to charge me $500 to fix. Not only did they go above and beyond and find out what the problem was they got it fixed. I highly recommend any woman who is tired of being taken advantage of to go to this shop. They told me what needed to be done the priority on each thing that needed to be done and exactly why I needed it and how it affected the longevity of my vehicle. I had never been to a valvoline before. I usually go to jiffy lube. However jiffy lube is closed on sudays. So I went to the valvoline on commerical. I was blown away by the wonderful customer service I got. The staff was so nice and friendly. They explain products and serivces to me in a way I could understand. They didnt pressure me to buy things i didnt need for my car. They were really fast too. I feel this the best place to get your car serviced. read more

Manager Alonso and tech Nathan were very helpful. Informed me of the recommended services but were not high pressure. I appreciate that. Also I had purchased a Groupon the ended up being for a place in New Jersey, and since I am in Oregon, it didn't do me a lot of good. It was so refreshing to actually go into a place and have my car taken care of exactly how I like and do what I asked without the high pressure sells pitch on what I need to have done with my car.
