Oh my goodness- these desserts are amazing. We tried the tuxedo surprise at their food truck which was at the Mary Ross Waterfront for New Year's Eve. It was so good that we drove over to Brunswick the next day to get another. I ordered the chocolate brownie and split it with my husband. The texture of the chocolate snow is amazing and then add in chocolate sauce, White chocolate, brownies and whipped cream- how can you go wrong? You can't. Service was spot on. Had a cute spooky theme! Plenty of flavors to choose from. It is shaved snow, not shaved ice, so it has a fluffy light texture. I think it tastes better than shaved ice. We had a great time going here while traveling and trying all the different snow ice cream concoctions they had. We tried the Granny Smith, apple snow concoction as well as the peanut butter and chocolate and the strawberry latte, snow concoction, and cinnamon toast,. I love everything about this place. From the ambiance, which is a cute macabre, to its product which is a beautifully crafted and delicious shaved ice - Vampire Penguin is exactly the kind of small business you want to see and flourish. We're on a vacation at Jekyll Island and after a stop into a nearby CVS for a few last minute items we found this location. Our typical go-to ice spot is the Sunset Slush but this definitely gives some serious competition though to be fair they can easily coexist since they fulfill very different roles. Vampire Penguin creates a dome of vanilla flavored shaved ice. From there you can pick any of preset combinations or you can make their own. For our first visit, we went with a Buttery Penguin which was butterfinger, chocolate, sweet condensed milk and whipped cream. It was cold but also very light which is perfect for dessert. My wife and I split a large which was just right for the two of us though I was awfully tempted to get another one. We'll be back. Highly recommend this place in Brunswick to anyone read more

Was visiting Brunswick and ran across the Vampire Penguin. I had never had this type of shaved ice before and was a little skeptical, but boy was I pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it! There were lots of flavors to choose from. I chose one of the daily specials - lemon, with Graham cracker, condensed milk and honey. I loved it. The shaved ice dessert was a huge treat for me and out of town company. We took pictures in a huge chair with the cute murals. A very polite young man took our orders. A nice young woman brought them to the table. Each walked by later and asked if everything was ok. Both thanked us for coming.
