We found this place while searching for coffee in Brunswick on a Sunday, and it definitely did not disappoint. Its appears to be relatively small on the inside but there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy your beverage. There were only two people working behind the counter and they were amazingly efficient. They were also super friendly. My family loved the coffee. They gave it a 5 star rating based upon taste and temperature. We also tried one of their freshly made waffles with blueberries, strawberries and maple syrup. They said it was one of the best they've had. My hands down favorite coffee place and we travel A LOT and live for a good coffee. You have to get the coconut latte or the island mocha (coconut and mocha) it's house made syrup (most of their syrups are). They use a good espresso so it's the perfect coffee flavor without being over powering or bitter. A must try if you're in Brunswick, on Jekyll or Saint Simons. read more

I absolutely loved this coffee shop! The service, the music, the vibe, and most importantly the coffee were fantastic. This place has a lot of coffee options. I chose the vanilla latte half sweet and it was perfect. They also have all of the standard coffee drinks and a few others. On my next visit I want to try the lavender latte. They also have tea and an assortment of baked goods. The blueberry scone was delicious. It was busy and bustling with activity but there is a lot of places to sit including a sunroom. They have freshly roasted beans in assorted styles and some fun but basic merchandise. I bought their stork sticker for my luggage. If I was local this would be a regular stop. Probably one of the best coffee shops I have visited while traveling. The iced chocolate coconut coffee is delicious and reminds me of a Samoa cookie. I also snacked on the chocolate chip banana bread which was extremely moist and fresh. The shop is adorable and the baristas are so friendly! Highly recommend. read more

A delightful little cafe in Brunswick. While visiting Jekyll Island, I wanted some good coffee (good coffee is not available on the island) so I headed into Brunswick. Upon entering I saw they were making their own chocolate sauce for the mocha and unloading a tray of scones from the oven...I knew it was going to be good. I ordered a Hot Mocha and Blondie pastry. First, the blondie was so delicious I hoovered it before I remembered to take a picture. I asked the nice lady if I could get a corner piece and she obliged and it was the best decision I've made in quite some time. It was delicious and not overly and obnoxiously sweet like a lot of the baked goods I've tried down here. The Mocha was rich and delicious. A perfect blend of rich mocha chocolate flavor and espresso. This is definitely worth the trip off the island. read more

Wake Up Coffee is one of my all time fav coffee spots in my area. Both locations on St. Simons Island and in Brunswick are so cute and cozy. I love the remodeling they've done in both while keeping their cute & simple aesthetic. They have fresh pastries and some breakfast items like their avocado toast! They make excellent coffee. I wish my Americano was a little hotter, but it was tasty. The waffle wasn't exactly Belgian (the texture was a little heavy), but it tasted fresh with no artificial anything, so I liked it. The avocado toast was interesting. It has a balsamic reduction over the avocado, which tastes sort of like teriyaki sauce with vinegar. I'm not a fan of vinegar for breakfast, but it was just sweet enough that it works. You can also order it without the balsamic reduction. The atmosphere was excellent, and we enjoyed being there. Would definitely go again. read more

Friendly staff with coffee knowledge. What else do you want. First trip here to Brunswick and this was my first stop. Need some Java and this was what I picked on Yelp. Good choice. Cool little coffee shop vibe in there. Two great guys talking with customers and making people happy. The caramel cake looked amazing. I just grabbed a muffin and an Americano to go but that cake is on my to do list. Great place to stop and grab a drink. Bunch of chill little rooms to read or hang out and sip on your coffee or tea. This was a quick stop on our way to Jekyll Island and I couldn't be more glad we stopped in! The coffee is delicious, and the service is personable. The baristas went above and beyond for my kiddos, even providing an extra cup with whipped cream to stop my kids from bickering. The inside has some nice seating. Even coffee aside, I would give this place 5 stars for the barista and the atmosphere alone. This place was immaculate in every way it could be! I just had the BEST latte I've had in a long time- a hot caramel latte. It had the perfect amount of foam too! The service was provided with a smile and with very little wait. I liked that they had two drive- through windows , one for the driver's side and one for the passenger's side. I'm not from the area, but I will make sure to stop by whenever I'm passing through the Brunswick area. read more

Okay, this is coffee shop feels like home. I learned this was a house to someone, but turned it into a coffee shop. I have been a loyal customer through every renovation, and it keeps getting better and better. They make almost all of their own syrups, roast beans locally (all fair trade), all-natural no preservatives in their oat and almond milk, and the pastries are to die for. Every employee is so kind and will always greet you with a smile on their face. They make an effort to know everyone's name. Soon enough they will memorize your name and your drink. While passing through Brunswick, Georgia, I stopped in Wake Up Coffee Co. (thanks to my Waze App for locating this place!). I look for local spots like this across the state, but this is my favorite, even after just my first visit!! Of course they grind their coffee beans fresh for each cup. But, they also make their own chocolate and caramel! It was a hard choice, but I chose the Island Mocha. It is excellent! Special shout out to Grace who served me. We stopped off in Brunswick on our way home from down south, anywhere I go I avoid Starbucks or any large chain coffee shops at all costs. I wasn't expecting to find this gem in Brunswick! The espresso is delicious and the entire atmosphere is so warm and welcoming.
