If you happen to be in Hollywood, please give this bakery a try. It is THAT GOOD!! Walked in today around 10:30am and no one was there to greet me until I said hello twice. I have been to this bakery many times when I used to live and work in Hollywood. Even though I no longer live or work there, I still go there when I feel like having any one of their delicious pastries, cakes, cookies and individually sliced pastries. I wanted to get 2 vozni (vanilla flavor),(and 2 vozni chocolate flavor), and since it's that good, they were already sold out. I mainly go there for those 2. In case you are wondering what vozni is. It's this decadent pastry (porcupine). NO, it doesn't sting:-)) I don't know why they named this dessert after a poor porcupine. So I got me 6 cream cheese turn overs, 2 cupcakes: 1 Red Velvet & the other one Cookies & Cream. Also got box of cookies and told him to put all of them in one box. They have variety of cookies, cakes, chocolates, can also customize any cake to your liking and do all types of events. 4 stars because of their customer service. The man that is the owner is very rude, and disrespectful to their customers. On the other hand, his wife is sweet as cherry pie. They both need to work together as a team. It's a family owned business. They also have their own, favorite people. Few parking spots in the front, no public restroom and ambiance is very nice and clean.!! It really is a 5 star establishment, only if they work hard to be just a little bit more polite and nice to their customers. read more

I've been coming here since I was a little girl as a Hispanic customer who always supported this family-owned business. But the way things have changed is honestly sad. The older man and the blonde-haired lady are always cold and unfriendly--never a greeting, never a smile, not even basic acknowledgment. It's like you're invisible when you walk in. That kind of energy makes customers feel completely unwelcome. This used to be a place I loved coming to for eclairs trays, but not anymore. The lack of respect and warmth has completely driven me away. If they keep treating people like this, they're only going to push more loyal customers out--and eventually shut themselves down. I'm appalled with their costumer service. My mother walked in to purchase a birthday cake for my stepfather. The owner took one look at her, a Hispanic woman and he said I'm not going to help you or tell you what cake flavors we offer because I know you're not going to purchase anything. I mainly come here for their meringue and their cheese rolls. They have plain cheese rolls and flavored, my faves are the pineapple ones. I took some to a few gatherings I went during the holidays and people loved them! This is an Armenian style bakery and you can find so much sweets and goodies. Perfect stuff for gifts and pot lucks. I like this location even when there's always sketchy behavior around. I never had an issue outside but I have seen it from afar so be aware at all times. They have Armenian cake by order and I will try to get one for my upcoming birthday as everyone should try that cake. It's pretty good and sweet, such a treat! This spot doesn't look like it might be hiding treasures from the outside, even if you walk in, there is no way of knowing how Insanely delicious their baklava is until you simply try it. Baklava in this store is made whith what I can only describe as talent that was certainly obtained by cutting a deal with the Devil or something because is just that good. While waiting to do the escape room, we stumbled on this amazing bakery. My family and I decided to stop by and explore the pastries. Wow! What a pleasant sight! Greeted by a round table adorn with several bouquets of beautiful white roses and good looking pastries. Gayane, the staff behind the counter, made our experience at the shop enjoyable. I ordered 2 days before the event and they accepted my order, and did an amazing job beyond my imagination ! I just sent some pictures as inspiration and gave her a few guidelines and less than 48 hours later I picked this amazingly beautiful cake that tastes delicious ! This place is horrible never liked it since day one. My aunt bought the cigarette pastries for 4th of July at my house the minute I opened it the whiff of mold and residue was visible. Horrible!!! Came in to the bakery to buy a birthday cake. The greeting I got from the elderly male worker before I even stepped out of the car was, " You can't park here! " ... I was parked where they have "VAN BAKERY " cone signs. I replied, " I'm here to buy a birthday cake." He was just very rude, non inviting. Horrible customer service!!!
