What a blessing this florist was to me! I had a need for an arrangement for a funeral and I called last minute. Alissa took my order and was very kind and polite when I was explaining the need for a large stand in 24 hours. She assured me she could put a beautiful stand together for the budget I was working with and could also deliver the arrangement to the church the next morning (the florist is in Perris and the church was also in Perris). I thought I would go with something standard like white flowers but I decided to let Alissa put something together. The arrangement was for a coworker who died suddenly and unexpectedly while on the job. The arrangement that was done was spectacular and an unexpected burst of color which I thought was such a symbol of hope and bright days to come for the family as well as a reminder to rejoice that he was restored and with his savior. I happen to work for a stucco company and my coworker was the foreman of a color crew so I thought this was also a meaningful arrangement. Here is the arrangement we received. We selected to have the salute of duty standing spray arrangement and paid for the premium version as well as added these ribbons for $10 each. The whole thing was $259. There are a couple reasons I didn't rate particularly high.... The first was that their website didn't allow me to pay. So I emailed all the details of what we were looking for and still didn't hear back so I called the next day, got a voicemail and someone did call back to take our info and we placed the order. While we were getting in procession at the cemetery, their delivery person comes and delivers the arrangement to our car. The cemetery representative said this was unusual and that other florists usually deliver flowers to the covered area the funeral would take place. And I would expect that as it seems strange to have the grieving family now have to juggle the flowers while driving to the funeral spot. Lastly, I was underwhelmed by what is considered premium flowers. The stand also broke before we even got home, poor quality. We received another arrangement from a different florist (who did deliver to the funeral site) that someone had sent, and the flowers lasted twice as long and the arrangement was quite full. I don't know how much the other arrangement cost, but when we paid for the premium arrangement I expected more. We did have 6 roses in ours, maybe that was the price difference? But if that's the case we would have bought the lowest version for $50 cheaper. You be the judge. Here is their picture, and our once we got it to our home and fixed the stand. read more

Just an update .... I also sent a message via IG to the store. I have followed them admiring their work! Great response time and excellent service recovery !! They offered to replace my wilted VDay flowers My husband went in store Friday to buy my Valentine flowers a little early so I could enjoy them longer. He noticed the roses were very opened and asked if they had fresher arrangement, the clerk said she could make a new one but they were all bought in the same day so none of them would be any different. Friday they were nicely arranged, and looked good. Unfortunately they didn't even live thru VDay despite water changes and the flower food... today they are all wilted and the petals are falling. read more

Very cute store. Very helpful staff. The issue is the flowers. I ordered a bouquet to be delivered to a sick friend and the flowers arrived on time but they died very shortly thereafter. My father is sick and unable to attend a fellow Marine's funeral service this week- I needed help getting an arrangement delivered to a Veteran's service last minute, and Van Buren was so helpful and accomodating. They helped me select something in our budget and wrote the names of all the men that weren't able to attend the service, so they were able to show their love and support without being there. Not sure what florist the 1 star reviews worked with, but it obviously wasn't this one! From the first contact for flower arrangements for my FIL's funeral to the second contact for flowers for my MIL's funeral the people and service were nothing short of extraordinary. We had some custom work done for my FIL and it came out great. He was a fisherman and we had a bucket made with poles and stuff inside and they wrote "gone fishin" on the outside for us. The arrangements were stunning and people couldn't stop commenting on them. They were on time to the cemetery.....and again the employee was thoughtful and respectful. For my MIL they did two handheld bouquets that were placed in front of the burial site. Again they were beautiful and well presented. The prices are in line with any florist and I actually thought it would cost more. The service and the people who we spoke with and met made it all worth while. I called Van Buren Florist and spoke with Amanda. I let her know what I needed for my wife's birthday. She met and exceeded my expectations. Not only did she personally make a fresh flower arrangement for my wife she made sure it was delivered the same day at the time I had requested. I spent $70 on dead flowers thats probably why its free delivery! First and most definitely the last time i will ever order from here! I was bought a bouquet of a dozen roses for Valentine's Day that cost $90+, and the bouquet was more leaves than flowers! Some flowers were dying and others had tears in the petals. Not only that, but the flowers were not even arranged, just shoved into a wide-mouth vase, AND they totally ignored my boyfriend's request for them to be delivered to me later in the evening. Not worth the price for grocery story flowers to be honest. Hope the owners have pride in their work and do something about this read more

Very disappointed with the service and the flower arrangement. I placed an order for delivery and specifically told the rep not to deliver before 2pm since the flowers were for my daughter and she wouldnt be home from school before 2pm. The whole point of me ordering flowers for $70 was for them to be delivered was so my daughter could open the door and receive them. I couldve gotten these flowers at Stater Bros for $30 and sat them on my own table! I paid a premium for the delivery effect. Although there was no guarantee of the delivery time, The rep was very aware of my request and the flowers still showed up at 1pm. When I called to ask why they were delivered soo early, I was told there was nothing they could do. Needless to say, this was a waste of money and I will not be using this Florist again. read more

Not only was Van Buren's website really helpful regarding the process of ordering for a funeral there, but when I called them up they were nice and ended up putting together a beautiful arrangement on my vague specifications (around $100, something tall or in a basket, any color, whatever is fresh and in season). DO NOT USE!! I ordered online for a funeral delivery. Had the family not told me I would have never known the flowers were NEVER delivered! They made no attempt to contact me via phone, text, or email to tell me they were having delivery issues. There is NO EXCUSE when you have contact information to not use it. When I called to ask about it she was apologetic but agreed they did not try to contact us and then offered a full refund, which of course was the right thing to do, but WHY did they not contact us when there was a problem or issue the refund right away, so I would of been able to adjust.
