I purchased a truck here in 2024. While they were laid back and fairly easy going I will say I had two concerns that I was not happy with and ultimately I decided not to do business again when it was time to trade my truck in. I test drove three vehicles out of five. I felt rushed by the salesman the whole time and he really was dreading showing me the fourth vehicle and kept saying it was similar to the previous vehicle. I let it go and made a decision on which to purchase. Secondly, I decided I wanted to build a vehicle and they said they werent letting customers do so at the moment. I never heard of this. The representative took one look at myself and my mother and immediately I could tell that he was not going to be receptive to us. If I could give negative stars, I would. RUN!! We had a terrible experience with Joe Fusco and today a bad experience with Kaitlyn Nolan. In the past, Joe stayed on his personal phone texting while we were trying to ask questions about a vehicle. At one point he even told us to hold on while he concentrated on his text messages and answered a personal call. I am not against taking a personal call but at least let someone else help us in order to make a deal. We called to ask about a vehicle today (despite our hesitation from the last experience) and was told by Kaitlyn Nolan the vehicle we wanted was available and to come down at a scheduled time. I had a hard time today at Van Buren GMC. I needed service, I needed to leave the vehicle, and take a loner or a rental. I called the day before to go over the details of the loner or rental, left a message but no one returned my call. The next day I brought the car in, they said I could get a rental to go home with. They needed a driver license, credit card, and proof of insurance. The insurance card that I had was not current, and my insurance broker wasn't open at 7:30 AM so I had no way to get proof. Initially they said to just fax it over soon, then they changed their mind and said that they needed immediate proof of insurance before I could leave. Always, when I rent I'm covered with my AMEX card, or sign a waiver and I'm good. This wasn't OK with them. At that point I was out of time and had to leave with my unrepaired vehicle. I just bought a new Yukon from this dealer a couple of weeks ago. Sales representative Bill was extremely helpful when I first met him at the showing. I was debating myself between Chevy Suburban and GMC Yukon. After going through more than 5 dealers, I came back to purchase from here. Of course I did lots and lots of research in terms of price and features of vehicle. And whenever I had question, Bill answered clearly and up front for me. Even on the day of finalizing the purchase, I was running late for our appointment time. Bill stayed up waiting for me after his working hours. Now that's determination. All the questions I asked and even some discounts I asked for, he explained which discount was possible and which was not. From most of car dealers I have been to, they would have said 'No' to all of them, Bill actually granted me some of the additional discounts that are possible. Again, if you are buying a car, you gotta do tons of research in terms of price and possible discounts and ask the dealers about them. Don't expect them to find ALL the discount for you. But I know this dealer will be up front and honest about discounts that you can possibly receive when you ask for it rather than saying NO to all of them like many of the car dealers do. [Edit] My car had small problem with tire right after the purchase. They told me to bring it in very next day morning and fixed it right up. Took them only short 30 minutes to fix the problem while I kind of wanted to wait longer because their waiting room area was just awesome. So I've been going to this service center since 2012 to get my Buick Enclave services my only regret is that I didn't purchase my car from them and that I didn't know about them sooner. Before Van Buren I was getting my car serviced out in Long Island City.... HORRIBLE! I have an Envoy at the time and man it was a horrible experience. Our phone conversations with the previous dealership always ended with us just hanging up with frustration. When we got to the service center it just ended with arguments. However Van Buren! Man you guys are amazing. EVEN WHEN THEY ARE JAM PACKED AND EXTREMELY BUSY. They always helped me... ON THE PHONE!!!! Even my local mechanic doesn't do that for me! He always say you have to come in! These guys took the time placed me on hold for 5 min to genuinely find the answer to my question! Who does that these days? And when they can't... You know how they respond??? They took me Saturday morning! Next, warrantied part failed and had to be ordered. They gave a loaner car for the week at no cost, despite being new to their dealorship!! Absolute worst customer service. Service manager, a complete jerk. Had my dual wheel pickup since July 1...just got it back today, July 31. A month to fix a 2012 Sierra that's still under warranty? They didnt look at the truck for a week & made it seem like they didnt want anything to do with it. When they finally looked at it, they couldn't find the part. Got the part last week & not finished until now....why? Bc they took my truck off the lift & didnt feel it was important enough to put back on until they felt like it, which is what the service manager said. Unbelievable! When it was picked up & said to be under warranty, a rude comment was made saying that it was "charity" work! And they couldnt even tell us why the part went bad to begin with. Never again! The people checking you in are fine. The mechanics on the other hand are shady. They signed off on a tire rotation that was not done. I had the wheel lug lock in my possession and I do not believe there exists a "master" lug as the service advisor tried to explain. I also don't appreciate my vehicle returned to me with greasy black scuff marks all over my SUV cargo area and pedal area just to replace a rear headrest. If the mechanics are that flippant about other people's property I can imagine how they treat the vehicle under the hood. read more

Brought my car in this week for an air conditioning problem and could not have had a better experience. Julie in service was fantastic. The AC pipe had a hole in it and it was very expensive to fix. Julie reached out to GMC to tell them that this should not happen to a car with 35k miles on it. They agreed and cut the cost in half. My car was not under warranty so Julie did not have to do this.
