To whom it may concern, I purchased my first brand new truck, a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD brand new from the factory. I ordered it and waited months for it to arrive. I have owned this truck for 25 months and put 37,000 miles on it. I brought it to Frank's GMC in Lindhurst NJ, where I bought it, for servicing. Upon inspection of the truck Frank's tells me that it needs a new torque converter and a new valve body in the transmission. They also tell me that I can not drive the truck until it is fixed. I have been without a truck for over 3 weeks now and there is not better news on receiving the parts that are on back order from General Motors. GM customer service has been of no help whatsoever. The dealership never even offered me a loaner car. Now that I have had to take one of my trucks out of service from my company to give to myself as a daily driver I have asked Frank's and GMC for compensation and I was told there was nothing that could be done. I have been a long time Chevy and GM customer, with 9 current General Motor vehicles under my ownership and an additional 5 or 6 that I have owned in the past. To be told now that I have no recourse and no truck to drive is more than disheartening. This truck is my third GM transmission to have problems in just as many months. My truck still has the original tires on in. It's sad that the tires last longer than the transmission on my brand new GM truck. I think it is an absolute disgrace that General Motors cannot get the parts in time for a transmission that should easily last hundreds of thousands of miles. This tells me that GM must be having a lot of these torque converter issues and that their trucks have sadly become second rate. The GM truck of today are not what they used to be. I also have a 2019 Chevy Tahoe which just needed an injector lifter repair and torque converter repair along with a new aftermarket valve body in the transmission at less than 40,000 miles. Costing me almost $8,000. And my wife's Chevy Traverse (2019 with 93,000 miles) also just needed an full transmission replacement. GM customer care keeps calling me to tell me that they are still looking for the parts, but to no avail. Meanwhile I am still paying my monthly payments ($987 per mo.) on the truck, (and SXM) for a truck I can't even use. I was told by the dealer that I cannot have my truck back unless I wanted to lose my repair warranty. I have no truck and no help from General Motors or Frank's GMC. read more

Frank's GMC has it all. Just left the place with my 2nd 3 year leased vehicle. Both were GMC Terrain. I am treated like a Queen in this place. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Khaled (pictured with me) makes sure I get the best deal and Sam helps lock it in. I've even met and talked shop with the owner Frank who is very personable yet professional. Absolutely the rudest business ever. We give them 250k work a year and they still over charge us and do work we didn't ask for. Nasty on the phone. I also watched one of their guys hit a customers brand new Denali. Then out touch up paint on it. And then argued with the guy who said this wasn't like that when I got here. (Was also just there to pay for another truck). I let them argue then as I left (for my last time ever) told the guy to have them check the cameras. Because I saw it with my own eyes... Just leased a brand new 2020 GMC Terrain and I am in LOVE with it. At Franks GMC, Khaled (salesman), made everything so smooth for me. I went in looking for a Terrain and walked out driving a 2020 GMC Terrain the next day. The process was so smooth and fast and very reasonably priced. Khaled explained everything to me in great detail and knew exactly what I wanted. I was very specific on what I wanted and the color I wanted, and he exceeded my expectations. He really knows how to treat a customer as family and I would recommend him to every customer out there looking for a GMC. An experience that was supposed to be enjoyable turned out to be the most stressful auto purchase I have made and I have purchased many vehicles. Frank's cashed my check right away but did not deliver the car when promised. There were 2 recalls on the vehicle which was not taken care of until 5:30 in the evening. I was promised the vehicle in the afternoon. I was told the vehicle would be delivered to me. It was not. They made no effort to make sure the vehicle got delivered. I never felt the need to leave a bad review but I went there "twice" 2X and both times I was ignored upon entering and when I asked for a quote on a job I was told they were too busy so I left my info and waited for a call that never came. Second time they couldn't find my info and the service rep was off and I was told they didn't have his number to call him. I am a resident of Lyndhurst and believe in supporting small business in town but this time it was a big fail. I gave my business to a large dealer but I'm disappointed that what I know to be a good family dropped the ball on watching over their employee's laziness. I hope this helps not hurt. I'll give you a brief background, we loved our mechanic Freehold Tire and had no plans on giving them up. I have 100 miles towing with AAA just for that reason. Then my husband said it was too far and started looking in North Jersey where we now live. The best parts of Frank's GMC is first their honesty and second their costumer service. Their prices are reasonable and not just for a dealership. They also don't try to push other services on you. They have actually said you aren't ready for this service. Another great thing about Frank's, we were going on along trip right before a holiday weekend and I started to hear a knocking from the front end. If I could rate a zero I would. I brought a commercial truck in around April on a Thursday and was told I would get a call back later in the evening or the next day to tell me my diagnosis. Not only did they not call but when I called on three separate occasions I was told the same lie by a rep in the service departing. He either said it was going to be put on the bed to be looked at or said someone's taking a look and he'd call back in the afternoon. The rep never called back and I would have to frequently call to see the status of my truck. Upon receiving my truck on a Wednesday of the following week (5 business days later) they hadn't even fixed a simple light I asked them to fix in the beginning. Not only that but I was also not called for an estimate or to even be explained at all what the problem was on the truck. The service department obviously does not care about customer service and it honestly shocked me to see that this place had a 5 star rating. Maybe their other departments not tied into commercial vehicles are good but they're commercial department is horrid. Even the reps have an attitude with the customers while four of them are sitting doing nothing upon walking in. I would absolutely NOT recommend this place to service your truck unless a complete transformation is made. read more
