Ignore the old one and two star reviews!…read more My husband and I were looking for our first ever seasonal campgrounds to spend our spring/Summer/Fall. We almost didn't come here because of the reviews. I am really glad we ended up touring. When we came in to check out the campgrounds, they were almost closing, and the worker stayed an extra hour and a half. We would've never asked her to do that, but she told us to take our time and look around and figure out where we wanted to be. Most of the poor reviews are several years old! Scroll through and look at the recent reviews . We came in with very low expectations. It didn't take us long to decide this is where we wanted to be. What did take a while was choosing where in the campgrounds we wanted to be. If you want to be near the pool and all the action, it's not a problem. If you want to be over in the quieter area by the primitive camping, that's not a problem either. There's a little bit of something for everyone. This was opening weekend our first weekend a seasonal campers. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and most importantly, fun! We have camped at some stuffy, boring, super strict campgrounds, where everything including Fun was prohibited. This place is not that! Even with only a quarter of the campers here it was quite lively, I love seeing the golf carts and the little motorized scooters, etc. everywhere. They came out and pumped our tank after 10 AM. They come daily for garbage. The property is well maintained, and I don't have a single complaint. Granted, the swimming areas are not yet open, and the camps ground is still only minimally occupied, but so far I can't think of a single negative thing about this campground. It is perfectly situated in the country, but still a 10 minute drive from all the amenities of Findlay, including shopping, entertainment, dining, etc.. I have a feeling the people who left the one and two star reviews are new to camp camping and have no idea what other campground experiences are like. Don't be fooled by the crappy reviews, or go ahead and be fooled so I can fill the campgrounds up with people I want to spend time with

If you expect to be pampered, this isn't it. If you are into camping and meeting folks that come from different backgrounds, then this might be the place for you. There are a mix of seasonal campers here as well. The office staff was very polite. (Tammy rocks) The activities person was a lot of fun. All three of my kids 17, 13, and 6 enjoyed all the activities and making friends. I enjoyed the family time, fun and and an ice cold beer by the fire at the end of each day. It was just what the doctor ordered for my family on this Labor Day weekend.

The campground is very well maintained. The campground is situated around a decent sized, rectangular shaped clean lake, with open fields around the campground, and Highway (Route 6), runs next to it, at the North end of the campground. The campground caters to the seasonal campers here, but it does have limited sites open to weekenders. The seasonal campers that I've met have been really nice. It's usually quite here, a great place to take kids to, as they can't really get into trouble, or go to far away. The lake is clean, with a little beach, 2 floating decks for the kids to play on. They also rent paddle boats and life jackets too. They have a small play area for the kids to have fun in. The showers are clean, they have a small general store/office that usually has what you may need. If not, Wal-mart is only about 1.5 miles away, as are other stores and restaurants. I suggest that you call and make reservations though, because they do fill up on weekends with different events going on in the area. And like I said, they don't have many open spots for weekend campers here, First come~First served.

I don't know why though, this is the first time I had this happen, lol. Anyways, the area I stayed in is across the lake from the flat campground... in the woody area. Overall, I had a good experience. It is quiet and peaceful here. There are other guests staying here as well, but everyone is respectful. Electricity and water are included except for sewer. They do a run once a week with a honey wagon with a fee of 8 bucks. Oh well. Another thing is that there is a rail road next to the woody area and multiple trains go by day and night. I guess you can get used to it, lol. It was a good place to stay at though. The staff is super accommodating and helpful. I would definitively recommend this campground.

The parks residents are living in broken down RVs, some of which are falling apart at the seams. There is no sewer and the dump station was overflowing into the surrounding grass. The cost is $40 and cash only. It's not worth even close to that. I bet the IRS would be interested in all that cash for tax purposes. I encourage anyone thinking about stopping to pass this place and go to another.
