a view of a restaurant with tables and chairs

It's touristy. However it's perfectly located when visiting old Montreal. When it's cold outside, this is the perfect escape. The drinks may seem overpriced at first, but when you get them you'll see why. They come in gigantic mugs. This place is a chain and are known for their chocolate. I tried the almond and chocolate croissants which were good but not amazing. The hot chocolate here is awesome. The matcha latte is very good but very milky. Lots of seating. It's worth stopping in if your feet get tired.

Nope! While visiting Montreal we stopped in at this coffee shop before wandering the city. After stopping here, I think that in the future we will just keep walking. Why was it so bad do you ask, well first and foremost, the large coffee was tiny (yes I'm a fat American, I have heard that before), it cost a fortune, it tasted like it was brewed in an ashtray, and when it came to the restaurant itself, it was gross and dirty. We walked in at about 8:30 am and it looked like the place had been invaded by enemy troops. The staff was polite, but seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves. On top of that, the bathrooms were the worst we visited in Montreal. Overall, not please with the coffee here and I would take McCafe coffee over this company any day. By the way, I greatly dislike McCafe coffee.

Nice place to quick stop, while walking in Montreal . Nothing extraordinary, but still very tasty croissants , good coffee and cheap prices. Desserts looks really nice.

Nice rest stop after walking up and down the lovely cobblestone streets in old Montreal. Cold brew coffee is great, nothing extraordinary, but gets the job done. Impressive seating area inside overlooking the street, very comfortable and clean restrooms. No issues here.

This was my first stop in Montreal. The hot chocolate and cappuccino were tasty and very pretty. The chocolate croissant was good but nothing too special for my taste buds. This location is very close to Bota Bota Spa, which is why I visited the shop. The staff were incredibly friendly and the location offered a nice street view of the city. Overall, I recommend stopping in for a nice hot coco to warm you up!

The pistachio croissant was flaky and crisp. They were kind enough to warm it up upon request so don't be shy to ask. Delicious!

Mediocre coffee with a somewhat dry muffin... And my laptop can't connect to the Internet. Not a winning day today!

That mocha latte would end wars. The premade BLT was actually delicious. No wifi and the cup was too big to sneak out in my coat.

I liked that they had different items out on display that looked fresh. The menu was in French, but one of the women working there noticed we might need help and asked us what we were looking for. So friendly! She also helped us figure out what was gluten-free / gluten-friendly. We ordered a gluten-free avocado toast with an egg sunny side up (pretty solid) a ham and cheese croissant (they pressed it so it was dense and it was perfect) , and we had originally brought our own coffee in to-go cups, but they transferred it into mugs for us when we stayed. I was worried about an extra charge for doing that, but there was none, which was a nice touch. A couple notes: - They take credit cards - Wi-Fi is available - One weird/practical thing: you can't use a laptop until 3 PM so I wouldn't really come here in the morning if I needed somewhere to work. - They seem to be known for their crêpes, although we didn't try one, so I might come back! The total came out to $19.83 CAD. The tables weren't very clean, but overall, a nice experience and glad that the ambience was quiet and welcoming for the morning.

They can be pretty busy so I suggest arriving early. You order your food at the front and pick up your drink on the side. If you're dining in and you've ordered food, they'll give you a number so you can grab a seat and they can bring your food to you. My cappuccino was good. :) We got the Suzy (Avocado Toast with Bacon) and the Aurora (Smoked Salmon Bagel). Both things were delicious and can even be shared if you normally don't eat a big breakfast. The breakfasts we got were around $20 and $22 each. With our one drink and tip, it ended up being over $60 for breakfast at a little cafe, which is slightly more than what I'd normally pay - but perhaps Montreal prices are a little higher? Either way, it was still a nice visit.

The salmon bagel was particularly disappointing and almost inedible. We also tried the spinach and feta scone, but it was quite doughy yet dry, and we couldn't manage more than a few bites. The coffee was decent and the service was fine, but neither was enough to make up for the food. Maybe we simply caught them on an off day, but based on our experience, Tommy didn't quite live up to its reputation. It's a cute yet lively spot to check out for the atmosphere, but I'd go in with tempered expectations when it comes to the food.
