Combo plate with tri-tip and chicken leg

Saw them at Humble Sea and the smokey bbq smell drew us in. Food was amazing, but portion size felt a bit small. The tri-tip was well cooked. Smoked chicken leg was tasty, but a bit salty. Overall pretty solid and will go back to try the sandwiches.

Yum! Tender tri tip, tasty sauces, perfectly crusty and chewy and soft garlic bread. the food was so good as was the service!

Grilled Tri-Tip Sandwich ($20) - 3 stars. Good meat though a little chewy, some parts spicy, bread quite hard. Fri dinner 2022-06-17

Good dinner option at Barebottle. The woman running the orders was really nice and gave my kids stickers from their food truck! Meat * Smoked Chicken Plate ($20) - 2.5 stars Chicken was quite dry, super lean, but the potatoes were good. * Grilled Tri-Tip Sandwich ($20) - 3 stars Good meat though a little chewy, some parts spicy (flavoring was kind of uneven), bread was quite hard.

This pop up was posted outside of Tiger's Taproom in Oakland. I LOVE Santa Maria tri tip so this was a no brained. The tri tip plate was $19 and came with about 5 slices of tri tip, garlic bread a roasted potato, a nice little side salad, and 2 sauces. One was a bright green (maybe a chimichurri) and a bbq sauce. If that was chimichurri, it was super green. I'm used to seeing a rougher chop, but it was still good. I wish it wasn't mixed in with the bbq bc it muddled the flavors, hence why I couldn't really tell what it was. The tri tip was tender, juicy, a little fatty. Just what I wanted. The garlic bread was crispy and had genuine garlic flavor. Potatoes were soft and had some nice seasoning on them, a nice surprise bc I thought it would be plain. The chef's salad was refreshing to break up the heaviness of everything else. I would definitely try their sandwich if I come across them again.

Look at this plate and tell me it's not perfection. Salsa verde with tri-tip is a PRO MOVE. Cooked to perfection!! Garlic bread had a lovely crunch with classic taste. Salad was light and refreshing. Potato you can slice gently down the middle with plastic fork. I mean... flavors are to die for!! Eat here!!!

Thank you Trevor for the amazing service and delicious food! We stopped at his "van" on our drive through Pacifica/Rockaway Beach. He offers a mobile service and can even cater! We ordered some of everything he had to offer, each item had it's own unique flavor and you can tell he is passionate about his business. While his assistant takes orders, Trevor is on the grill. He's very friendly and is considerate of your time. He works fast and has a lot of knowledge about his spices and the flavors he uses. His style of bbq is specific to "California." The tri tip was awesome, the chicken had a great smoky flavor, the portobello mushroom was meaty with a great blend of spices... If you happen to see him, definitely stop and give him a try, you won't be disappointed.

I sent a request via Yelp app and Marsha suggested I send an email. This was on a Sunday and the event was in 2 weeks ! When I didn't hear anything via email or a call I called the office and spoke to Ben who apologized for the lack of communication and he would respond via email, which he did a few hours later. After several emails from Ben we were able to settle on a menu in just a few days! We were looking for a Hawaiian fusion themed menu and Ben & his staffto came up with a great menu. W Some of our many items that was a huge hit with our guests were Vietnamese vegan rolls, miso glazed black code, a toss green salad with Edamame and Asian dressing, crab deviled eggs, scallops spoon, chimichuri steak crostini, short ribs skewers, Asian style lamb meatballs, and dessert of fruit cups and mini cupcakes were perfect. There was a few dishes that wasn't as successful but overall everyone enjoyed the food. We had pre arranged to have someone to meet the catering staff early for setup but due to unknown delays they did show up until an hour before the service started which also ment they were rushed to setup the food but they did a good job to get the hot and cold foods setup before the end of the service. Overall they did a good job and the food excellent but arriving late to the event and poor timing to replenish empty dishes was disappointing also dessert wasn't served until most guest departed. We enjoyed working with Ben and appreciated the communication once it was established.

I picked up the tray from San Bruno Market in the Portola District of SF (thank goodness for the parking lot!!). Easy pick-up from a friendly store owner/manager(?). The food is still as good as before. I ordered extra Spam and egg onigiri, but some only came with Spam and no egg; still good, but not *quite* as good!! She also substituted a couple of onigiri for the eggrolls that we don't usually eat, so that's a plus! The tray's presentation was, again, excellent. Garlic noodles were delicious, beef and chicken skewers tender and delectable, cha trung (?) very flavorful, and empanadas yummy! Two of the onigiri are enough for a light lunch, but I tend to eat more than that just because it's so good!!

From start to finish, they made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. If you're considering them, do yourself a favor and book the tasting menu first! That's where we really got to know Amy, who became our catering coordinator through the whole process. She helped us stay within our budget, coordinated our rentals, and handled every little detail so we didn't have to worry about a thing. On top of that, her communication was outstanding! She was always prompt to respond, and even replied to us while she was on vacation (we didn't expect for her to do that either!). We asked a big favor to have our menu translated into Chinese for our family members, and LKC went completely above and beyond, and DID IT! And the food? Our guests are still talking about it. The sea bass was absolutely perfect, and we loved being able to customize with add-ons that made the spread even better. The servers and bartenders were warm, attentive, and so kind throughout the night. One moment that really stuck with me: my mom doesn't speak much English, and Amy personally helped her at the bar to make sure she felt comfortable and taken care of. That kind of genuine thoughtfulness is rare. I never fully appreciated how much great vendors can impact your wedding day until I experienced it firsthand. This was my first time planning a party for 60 people, and I wanted to get it right. I researched a ton of different cuisines, but ultimately came back to City Smoke House because of their flawless track record. Honestly, I wish I hadn't wasted so much time exploring other options because City exceeded even my highest expectations. The party was at a nightclub in the Castro, and the delivery was perfectly on time. The customer service 1000%. They even provided custom cards for each dish so guests knew exactly what they were eating, a small but thoughtful touch that people really appreciated. We ordered brisket, pulled pork, chicken, smoked portobello mushrooms, barbecue sauces, mac & cheese, potato salad, and tossed salad. With an open bar, I didn't expect the food to steal the show, but it did. Friends and family were raving all night, , "Where is this food from?" The next day, my phone was blowing up with texts about the brisket, the mac & cheese, the works. (For the record: I'm extremely picky about mac & cheese, and City nailed it.) My cousin from the Midwest said that the portobello mushrooms were his favorite. The portions were so generous we had enough to host a next-day gathering to enjoy the leftovers, though the mac & cheese disappeared the night of the party so order extra! In a city like San Francisco, where great BBQ is rare, I only wish City Smoke House had a brick-and-mortar location I could frequent. This is a family-owned business that delivers in every possible way, and I'm beyond grateful to them for making my milestone celebration unforgettable. I hope they stay booked and busy.
