Hyatts do a great job with their beds; I don't know what they do to the sheets and mattress but it's always a comfortable sleep at their hotels, such as this one. They also do a fine job keeping their amenities accessible and clean such as the pool and exercise room. Breakfast is solid; probably the best out of all the four major hotel chains. With the location of this Hyatt, we'll definitely be open to staying here again!

Great host and great personalities. We stopped by for a 2 hour session and it was worth the time. The atmosphere is safe and cozy. The water was a warm 90+ degrees even though it was rainy and cold outside. They had nice jazz music playing with we were there which made it even more relaxing. We know how to handle the cold. The freezing cold. But even in the dead of winter, we deserve this resort-style pool day, if we do say so ourselves. They provide a nice private bathroom for changing and a shower for cleaning up afterwards. Nothing beats a hot shower after being in chlorine. They can't promise the sun, but they can promise some fun with the indoor pool. May be the thing to chase the winter blues away. It's the PNW, it's winter most of the time! On a clear day, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams can be seen by those with good eyesight. An old, decommissioned aviation beacon still blinks away at all hours of the day and night like a lighthouse, and the rustic lanterns around the perimeter make the park feel as if it were time-shifted from an earlier era. For a real treat, visit the park when the city below lies under a blanket of fog.

Bar, lovely human, was wonderful, but drinks were just okay, well-priced though and fast, love it! We ordered a pie to-go, and after an hour or so and many drinks waiting (our choice), and no buzz on the alert button they hand out, my partner went up to the to-go counter and asked. Thought they were just slammed. Nope! It had been sitting there for so long it was cold, soaking through the bottom, and when he asked, was told, we didn't hear it and it's our fault....Okay, that's one way to go. It didn't buzz, we heard many others and they make themselves known ;) I would have appreciated just a "oh, it's been ready, here you go." I don't expect service to be perfect or without personally or an apology. But blaming was not necessary when we were not complaining. We will hopefully be welcome again after this review, as it's meant to help improve not hurt. Just a disappointing time that I hope can change. Clearly popular, maybe just one experience for one couple :)

On the morning of 5/3 the hotel completely lost power. No phones, lights, nothing. Now I understand since the whole block lost power this was not the hotel's fault. My concern lies in that during the power outage, there was no emergency lighting anywhere. The halls, exit signs and more disturbingly, the stairwells had no lighting at all. That is unacceptable. Don't they test their emergency systems? Had this occurred at night it could have been worse. As it was daylight we could at least see in our room and somewhat in the hall. No communication on the situation was provided to hotel guests. The power outage lasted between 45 min to 1hour.
