After hearing good reviews and even seeing a number of amazing TikTok videos about this place, we gave it a try. Unfortunately, we will not be returning!!! -Poor service: we waited over 10 minutes for our waiter to come over to us. This was after waiting 30 minutes for a table. The icing on the cake was the couple that was seated AFTER us... they were helped right away. I went over to the hostess and politely explained we've been waiting for a while to please send someone over. -We got an appetizer. The runner puts it down and leaves. We had no plates, napkins, or utensils so now we are trying to flag someone down and no one could be bothered. My fiancé went over to the hostess AGAIN and asked for some utensils. We weren't even given the ones that were wrapped that she had nicely in the bin, she shoved him two plates and two forks. -Our entree's come and our food is cold. At this point, we called it quits and just took it in to-go containers. We wanted out of there! -I forgot to mention the smell that was coming from underneath the table. It clearly wasn't cleaned, there were huge spots where drinks may have been dropped. -Out of all the things we experienced, the waiter only took off a beer from the bill. We ordered the little neck clams, watermelon salad, lobster roll, & surf & turf tacos. The salad was amazing! I wish I had taken a photo to post here. The lobster roll was ok......but after spending a weekend in Portland, ME last month, I don't know if any place in LI can compare. The surf and turf tacos were really good. The parmesan truffle fries were delish. The live music adds a lovely touch on the weekends. They have outdoor seating which is really good. Lacking is a mocktail menu. read more

Just an okay place with okay food. Come for the view, you're right on the dock. Pulled up right on our boat after a Long Beach day for tacos and beer. It'll do for that. Service nothing crazy, it's a bunch of kids working but they were fine. Live music and he was playing all of the summer hits of the 90s which was perfect and fit the vibe for the weekend. The south shore of Long Island in Suffolk County has many waterside places to go eat and drink. The wharf is just one of those places. You can sit at the dock and enjoy your cocktails, food or music, depending on the day. Plenty of parking, friendly staff and friendly customers if the outside it's not your thing they have a bar and dining room. Not too big but not too small. Plenty of parking in. We had our 50th high school reunion at The Wharf and it did not disappoint. The buffet food was great the staff was amazing and the venue was perfect . You could not beat The View . It's great. It's more of a bar then a restaurant now. The bartender said that the food is only their pizza during the winter. If you don't mind having drinks, and eating pizza than you're good. I do like that it is homey. The bartenders make it feel nice. My husband and I were the youngest ones there, besides the bartenders, and we didn't feel awkward. I asked for the Tom Collins, feels a bit weak at first, but then hits you like a wall of bricks, to my eyes the bartender did well. I wanted to get toasted and the bartender did a good job. I had a strawberry margarita and they did well with it without a blender. The place is nice and like I said, I didn't feel awkward. I came from West Babylon, about 5 minutes from Babylon town, and I would say the 20 minutes drive is not that bad. I will definitely come back here again. read more

This is so difficult to write a negative review about this restaurant. Great bartender, amazing atmosphere and service but I have to say the food was lacking. Now this review comes off of only two dishes that I had. I had baked clams and the bang bang shrimp wrap. The baked clams I have to say had the most clams of any baked clam dish I've ever had. Large chunks, absolutely phenomenal. They did not skimp on the clams at all, however, lacking flavor big-time. Flavor was just not there. The bang bang shrimp wrap did have flavor which was very, very good. Unfortunately they overcooked the shrimp and it was very chewy. But a very good roll with a lot of flavor. If they hadn't overcooked the shrimp this could've been a completely different review. I will give this restaurant another chance for the very fact that everything else was a great experience. read more

No better spot than the wharf. The bartenders are awesome. The fireplace during the colder seasons will always be a staple. They have been able to completely re vamp the wharf while still keeping some of the same vibes we all know and love. Came to the Wharf on a Friday night. Got there before the other couple so had a drink at the bar; martini and bourbon neat. Served nicely in plastic glasses. (Cosmo style for martini and rocks glass for the bourbon neat. Almost threw my glass when I lifted it because didn't realize it was plastic). There were a few Adirondack chairs outside but all but two were taken. Inside was typical pubby atmosphere. Outside deck had quite a few tables available but was very windy when we went. Ate at a table in the pub area. Ordered food and drink with the bartender who was casually personable. If you wanted a more outdoorsy feeling there was a small porch-like area with waitress service. We shared food which was good pub-type food. Had the prosciutto fig flatbread, chicken quesadilla, bang bang shrimp wrap and crispy chicken sandwich. All was good, nothing spectacular. I had signed up to be on their mailing list awhile back and every birthday I get a $50 off $150 offer on my birthday so we took advantage of that. Nice birthday gift. Went to dinner with 2 friends. Two of us ordered Bang Bang shrimp wraps, came with fries. The first thing we noticed was the fries were warm, obviously sitting for a little while in the back. The wraps had a total of 3 frozen but deep fried shrimp between the two halves. Sent the fries back and the waitress brought out new ones to all 3 of us. We then showed her the 3 small shrimp in the wrap. She brought us a dish of shrimp. Very disappointed in the food on this trip. Same exact view except a lovely laid back atmosphere. I have never been here before and not sure if it's just for this covid summer but they had outdoor seating and table service and food from the food truck on the premise. The menu was great and our food was delicious! We got mussels and a bang bang shrimp wrap with delicious fries. Our waitress was attentive. Went on a slow Wednesday evening for dinner With 6 adults and 4 children. Took out of state guests as it was recommended to us. we were never seated another patron told us there were more tables on the side so we seated ourselves. One adults meal never came out we were told 3 times that it would be right out. Waitress (Brooke) was terrible never came back to ask if we need anything Food was ok but nothing to brag about Half an hour after everyone else finished their dinner the one persons meal still did not come out. I've been going to The Wharf for nearly 40 years. Always a good time. But yesterday afternoon was an exception: I go there to see neighbors, hear live music, and grab a bite. So why need I be subjected to hearing the bartender and 3 patrons loudly discussing politics and using profanity? If I wanted to stay home and watch FNC or MSNBC I would have done so. Freedom of speech is entitled to all, but I will not spend my money at a business that feels it needs to broadcast their political beliefs. My friend and I decided to come to this place to check it out and it was a traumatic horrible experience. My friend is in a wheelchair and had to use the bathroom on a Thursday night for a birthday party and he had to use the bathroom, the mens bathroom was not wheelchair accessible so he had no choice but to use the womens and he respectfully waited for everyone to get out and after he used the bathroom he was told by the bouncers that he was being a pervert and to get out. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Family from out of state were here and we decided to try this place since it was recommended. What a lie! From the very beginning, there was no one there to even tell us where to sit or explain the seating. It was a party of 11, including 2 babies. We sit ourselves and the waitress, Brooke, told us she'd be over to take our orders in a few. She came over and asked us what we wanted, all while being so unfriendly and acting as if she was annoyed to serve us. I'm 7 months pregnant and was looking for a fruity non-alcoholic drink. I asked for one and she said no we don't make that, but didn't offer to ask the bartender or recommend something else. We order our drinks and food. It all comes out at different times and one person from our party never got their food. I'm sure Brooke forgot to put in his order but when we asked her where his food was, after the whole table got theirs and was practically almost done, she said it was going to come out soon. Well, it never did. We asked her to just cancel the order after waiting 45 mins for his food and instead of being apologetic or asking a manager to come over to us and accommodate us, she actually decided to fight back with us and blame that the reason his food wasn't out was because it was all on different checks. That was a lie because there was only 2 checks going with our table and like I had mentioned, the rest of us got our food. She was just very unprofessional and had a bad attitude to even hold a position of waitress. Never going back, even though the "manager" came over to apologize. Horrible horrible horrible. read more

The Wharf was absolutely amazing from the beginning. They have hosted maybe one wedding before us and you would have never guessed. Every single person we were in contact with went above and beyond. They were so accommodating and friendly. We wanted something low key and something that just felt like us. The view is absolutely breathtaking. All the boats, the sunset, the dock. They always provide awesome live music which makes for an awesome vibe! Ed and Alyssa (servers) helped my parents set up and really took the stress out of only have an hour or so to set up the party. They provided an outside bar for us with our favorite beers and mixed drinks. The bartender Jimmy was outstanding. Everyone was raving about the drinks he was making and there was never ever a line. Everyone was quick, friendly and efficient! They followed all of the guidelines for COVID which made us feel extremely safe since we had some young children in attendance as well as some older people. All the servers, workers, bartenders etc. were wearing masks. All were implementing guidelines, food being served with drinks etc. The outdoor and indoor space is super clean and maintained. The service was quick, everywhere you went they were making sure everyone had drinks in their hand. We stayed way past our time, we only planned 2:30-5:30 but most guests were there until around 8 pm. So around 6:30 they passed out grilled cheese, chips etc. without us even having to ask. We only had half of the space which we were totally fine with. We even had some onlookers cheering us on during our ceremony. The food truck they provide is delicious. Lobster rolls, steak tacos and more! We have eaten here multiple times and always love what we get/ Shout out to the owners Gary and Lou whom own the marina and restaurant and Wayne who comanages the restaurant. They have an awesome spot! They had tents on standby just in case the weather didn't turn out. They were more than accommodating, organized and helpful throughout the days leading up to our ceremony to the actual day and night itself. Found out recently this is now owned by the same people who own The Local, The Villager, and Lily's in Babylon. If you like the food at those places, it's what you'll find at the Wharf too. We decided to try this place last night for an impromptu Anniversary dinner. Arrived around 6:30 and met by a customer in the bar saying it smells in here, and yes it did. Smelled like a frat house! No greeter at the front desk except for a rude waitress. Obviously having a bad day. " you can go and sit anywhere " was all she said. Found a nice table right on the water, that's really the only reason they got any stars. Waited for 10 mins before the rude waitress bothered to come and see if we wanted drinks. Ordered two Margaritas and one Shirley Temple for our son. 10 more minutes pass and we received our drinks. Bartender made good cocktails at least. After being told that just about everything we wanted was not available we settled for burgers and an order of calamari as an app. Fast forward about an hour, three additional tables arriving after us received their orders and were almost complete. Asked the rude waitress if we were going to get something soon like maybe our apps? The rude waitress responded with " I figured we'd bring everything out at once". Last time I checked, apps come out before your meal....She then said "You ordered a lot of food, that's what took so long" I'm sure you can imagine what happened next, we left!!!!! Was in town visiting family and they brought us here for the casual atmosphere with a water setting. Food was great. Drinks were pricy, $17 for one drink! One of the people we were with never got their food, even after telling 2 people 3 times. Said it was because it was separate tickets, but we ordered at the same time. We don't think she even put the order in. Waitress never apologized for him not getting his food and became argumentative about it. Said it was coming. well after that classy review down below how can i compete? i'm just a wharf rat looking to s the d for a pitcher. -_- the wharf is an awesome locals only know about bar right on the dock..no frills, just go in , grab a pitcher, and either go sit out at one of the tables outside, or stay inside at one of the wooden ones by the fireplace, play some darts..usually a mix crowd..really hit or miss if its gonna be some connetquot seniors trying to get away with being local enough for no id or connetquot 30 year alumni letting loose. either way always a fun bunch. you also get the music from the view next door without the crowd and having to dress to the nines. big lot to park in, always someone on their boat with some music. they did a great job rebuilding after sandy. all in all if you're looking for laid back on the water..this is the place to go. read more
