Hopefully you're reading this because you want a therapist who measures up. When I finally realized I needed help, I didn't want to put my mental health in the hands of a therapist with a bad rep. As little as I didn't want to care for myself, I'm incredibly happy I wizened up and found a doctor who put 150% effort into his clients. I was Dr. Kaisch's patient for around a year. During that time, I managed to improve my life dramatically. I self-realized myself over time, and let me tell you, it was as difficult as it was fulfilling. But you quickly realize just why that's a good thing. My sessions with Ken slowly shaped me to topple my anxiety and depression and fight for myself and my aspirations on even footing. I achieved countless things without giving myself credit, and when I started to realize this, I discovered how much power I had to shape my life the way I always wanted it. Life didn't get easier or harder, I just started realizing what I could do about it. Whether this is a point of the efficacy of therapy or my own personal triumph is moot. I've been in therapy for over 14 years and am a HUGE proponent of self-discovery and reflection. I…read moredidn't start seeing Ed regularly until 2013 when I began marriage counseling. Amazingly he almost saved our marriage, but after more thought and consideration I determined it wasn't my best future. Ed helped make the transition from divorce much less scary. With his guidance through that process I realized that I had 'stalled' with my individual therapist. Ed was helping me uncover things that I hadn't managed to in the previous 9 years of individual therapy. He accomplished it within a matter of a few months. I've recommended Ed to many of my friends who are now regular clients. When I began dating again and moving through difficult relationships, he provided me a strong compass to maneuver through the emotions and fear. I give Ed credit for helping me become comfortable enough to remarry. He provided pre-marital counseling that was so helpful that we both continue to see him even as 'newlyweds'. I truly had no idea what real intimacy was until he worked with us to deepen an emotional bond and take the fear factor away from communicating about EVERYTHING. I am a better person and have worked through so many problems with Ed including bipolar disorder, anxiety attacks, interpersonal relationships with family and friends, among so many others. I continue to see him twice a month just for me and twice a month with my new husband. We look forward to our time with Ed. He is a gentle and very perceptive therapist. Honestly, it is his engineering background that makes him better than his peers. He has an innate ability to analyze and put the pieces together in a structured way. If you are having a hard time deciding what drug/alcohol rehab center to go to (esp since there are…read moreso many), stop looking and just go to Lift Off. They say 40%-60% of addicts relapse after treatment, but based on my experience as a client there, it must be a way higher success rate! I did 30 days at Lift off recovery, and am leaving with more tools to keep myself from relapsing and staying in recovery, than I learned during my previous 1 year stint in recovery. The staff are hyper focused on your recovery, they keep it very clean, and cook for us! The location is in a very quiet and nice neighborhood near parks, trails, and In-n-out :). We also get to go to their personally owned gym, take boxing classes, and request activities to do that aren't on the schedule. I also found GOD and a higher power while here, benefited greatly from their personal therapist and counselors they have assigned to each of us, and know I can always count on them to help in the future.
