As you get down to the main lots there are a TON of different trees to pick from. It was a bit muddy when we went so be sure to come in walking shoes/shoes you don't mind getting dirty. The ranch has your standard douglas firs, turkish firs, and even special variety for you to explore. The staff mentioned there wasn't as much rain this year so there weren't as many trees but we were still able to find one we liked. Prices range but are $60+ You can cut down the tree yourself but they also have staff driving around offering assistance with cutting if needed. They also help wrap your trees to compress them in your car and even have rope if you need assistance to put it on top. Really great service! As you explore or are waiting for them to put it on your car they offer free hot coco & cider for you to self-serve by the fire pit. It's a really cool experience to bring your family and even dogs as you find your perfect tree. Once you find your perfect tree and have it all ready to go you go back up to the main house where you picked up saws to pay. In the house they also have wreaths, yule logs, etc for you to purchase if you need anything else to spruce up your tree. Overall really fun experience and staff was great all around!

Unfortunately, there were few trees that met this low bar. After looking for a long while with a cold toddler, we finally succumbed to a much higher priced tree that seemed healthier than others - even though the price tag was a whopping $100! (We were clearly desperate at that point. In past years, we've never paid more than $60.) When we got home, we noticed it was awkwardly "manicured" such that it was flat in some areas and not others. We did our best to turn it and trim it so it looks more natural - to little effect. What's more, for some reason, it has absolutely no scent, which, for us, all but defeats the purpose of having a live tree. The fire pit was a nice touch but definitely not worth any price - much less the exorbitant price we paid - for the tree we ended up with. I sincerely hope that this review can help them improve their price tags and trimming process in the future. It would also be nice to inform customers about how different varieties may not have a scent. Thanks for reading!

Trees were marked with prices in the field, and were easily $50 higher than other farms for the same species and size. We browsed around, but didn't find any trees in our budget. Selection was limited. It didn't seem that there were folks to help with cutting or hauling if needed. We left, found another tree farm in the area, and we got some help with cutting and shaking there. Paid about 40% less too. Sorry, Windsong, your offerings just didn't cut it.

A quick glimpse of a few trees by the entrance caught our attention, and we looked forward to this year's seasonal opening. The U-cut trees were priced per foot with free bailing. They provided saws and carts. The grounds were well maintained. The trees were organized by fir varieties that included Noble, Nordmann, Grand, and Douglas. The 5 star staff explained the farm's layout as first timers here. Choosing the perfect one can get overwhelming since there were so many to choose from. They were very helpful and explained the difference between each fir to help guide our selection. We got a Douglas Fir because we liked the full coverage that would complement our ornaments. The smell of the freshly cut tree filled our house with a signature holiday aroma. We liked our experience so much that we plan to return next year.

They make it too easy ;) They have such a great selection of pre-cut trees, I always find a perfect one within minutes. They have a large selection to choose from. They also have a few spots for u-cut trees, one close to the parking lot and the others a bit farther out. But I haven't tried those yet. Their location is very easy to get to and parking is easy in their spacious lot. Service is always very friendly and helpful. They wrap the tree, trim the trunk, carry it to the car, and even offered to tie it down for me. A terrific experience overall and great source of beautiful trees!

I prefer these small businesses over Freddy's and Home Depot. We went around 11am before a crowd. I recommend coming here if you like to avoid crowds. The parking lot is small and tight, so when it's crowded it can be challenging getting out. $40 for picking a tree and cutting it down. To me, you're paying for the experience and the quality of the tree. I mean, if you're looking to get a nice tall one, this is a good deal! We knew we wanted to get a tiny one because we have a toddler. We spent about 30-40 minutes here because we let our daughter run around through the trees holding onto leaves and sticks. It surprisingly wasn't super muddy! I still recommend wearing your rain boots, but we went on a sunny day. I love the tree lot though. Lots of various sizes!! Trees are in great condition, great shape. We were looking for small ones and there were a bunch everywhere more towards the front of the lot. They sell wreaths and some home baked cookies. I didn't see anything else, but we only came for the tiny tree and we had a ton to choose from. We saw others walking further to get a medium one. It seemed the Charlie Brown looking ones were the smaller ones-- love it! They have a small toddler/young kid playhouse decorated for the holidays and our daughter played inside it! It was so cute! My family had so much fun. They provide saws and some plastic tarp so you don't get your knee dirty. No restrooms. Cash preferred but they do take card. Support small businesses. It was the same price for any size tree, and they were all very green and nicely shaped. Every time we found a tree we liked, we walked a few feet and found another better one! We were told by the owners that they are hand-trimmed to shape. I couldn't believe they were only $60! My friends paid more than twice that for their tree at another farm. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They shook the tree out for you and made twine available for you to attach to your car. Highly recommend!

Reichen is right up the road and we decided to give it a try for our 2024 tree. I'm so glad we stopped here! The selection is smaller than others' but they have a lot of nice-looking "fancy" firs. It's all u-cut. This year the price was $65 for any size (posted right when you drive in), which seemed to tap out at about 7 feet. Big enough for us. Full service! There was someone to cut the tree down with a chainsaw and help carry it back to the car and even string it up and secure it to the roof rack. (No baling or shaking though.) Everyone was SO FRIENDLY and we got lots of help taking family photos with our trophy tree. I don't think they operate too deep into the season, so I'm glad we went right after Thanksgiving. This will go down as one of the most memorable tree hunting experiences of my life. First of all,…read morethe name is properly named as it is a Little Forest tucked away in a residential area of Portland. Due to it's size it made it easier to walk through and search out all of the trees before you picked out your tree. It was also flat so it was much easier to walk around then the large Christmas Tree Farms I have been to in the past. The guy that owns it is adorable and super sweet. It was his family's farm that they started in 1971. I believe he said he is now a one man show, so be kind and patient, and try not to go on the weekends as he says it gets very busy. Once we found our tree, he walked over there with us, with his electric saw and cut it down for us, and helped strapped it to the car. There are some pre-cut trees up front that are at a discount. He said if you don't take care of the tree they should last until March, and until Easter if you do take care of. I can't believe we thought about going to a Christmas Tree lot. It would have been hard to make any holiday memories there.

Holy Star always has so many great options for Nordmann Christmas trees. They have a few kid activities including finding the Candy cane tree, I-Spy activity, free apple cider, etc. Once you find the tree you want they come over and cut it down for you, blow the tree, and then tether it to your car (if you want them to). Our Nordmann Christmas trees have always lasted SO long from Holy Star and they make your home smell great too! I would highly recommend checking out this local Christmas tree farm.
