I love peaches even more after going to Grossen Peaches. My family and I enjoyed hand picking…read moredelicious and juicy peaches. My son liked roaming around the farm. We ended up getting ten pounds of Canadian Harmony and Starfire peaches. I can't forget the lovely aroma of the freshly picked peaches. It was 5 star friendly service from the entrance to checkout. They answered all our questions as first timers. They provided boxes with wagons available. They told us the row numbers of the available peaches. There is also a board after the entrance that listed the row numbers and peach varieties. Check their website first before going to confirm if they are open because hours may vary. It appears to be updated daily. When I checked in the morning, it showed the hours for that day were 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. It helped us plan our day as we decided to arrive sooner than later as the parking lot filled up. We are now going to include peach picking as part of our annual summer activities.

Parking can get filled up quickly but everyone was so friendly and helpful with tips about picking and the locations of the different varieties. The young man in the golf cart made sure me and my toddler were on the right path and also checked on and chatted with other people too. When we went there were Red Star, Vivid, and Starfire so we went around and picked a few of each. Check out was easy peasy with their scale and they also had local products and picked peaches ready for purchase. The young ladies at check-in were so nice and helped take pictures of us by their "Just Peachy" sign and put my wagon back for me (since I had my toddler with me and am also very pregnant lol). The service is amazing here, turned out to be a fun family activity, and of course the peaches were juicy and sweet. The season is short so please go and get your peaches and support this local business!

Upgrading my review - it's really a great place for berries. We came on opening day today for…read moreu-pick strawberries and it was amazing. Fields were filled with ripe berries, each row was well maintained with hay and no weeds, and the prices were reasonable ($2.50 per pound). We loaded up on Hoods, which were super tasty. I go to check in and the guy saw we have the same baskets (from Hoffman) and asked if we want more. We said sure and he threw a basket at us. We asked if there was anything we needed to know. Guy said "nope, you are all good" Go berry picking. See there are rows with orange fencing, which means do not pick here. Pretty obvious. There are blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, marion berries, tay berries, etc. Went to pick blueberries (please mind you, not fenced off) and after getting almost a whole bucket of beautiful blueberries, grandpa on the train honked and screamed at me "NO BLUEBERRIES. NOT OPEN" to which I asked how would I know? He threw his had at me and didn't answer. I didn't understand. Maybe he thought the check in told us not to pick blueberries? But the guy didn't. Thought they were fenced off? I don't know. Pretty odd to be screaming at a customer and not answer them back. We have been going to Hoffman for forever but will be going to another farm due to poor treatment to paying customers. (I have inserted a picture of a sign that says "u-pick fields are closed" at the beginning of the sign, which would mean u-pick is closed? No sign or rope on the other side of field. Sign is easy to miss and if you cannot read English, not obvious that those rows are closed) (Inserted checkin table that does not state anything about what berries are closed) Berries are good. Only reason for 2 stars otherwise 1.

I had apple picking on my bucket list, so we made it here last weekend. & well by looking at the…read moretrees, we were late. There are cute baskets to put your apples in & a few pickers. We didnt see the pickers when we got there as they mustve been in use. Although majority of the apples were on the ground, we did find some good ones. We were on a mission to find the pink pearl & the worker let us know that it was the ones with the pink ribbons around them. The property is huge, with a play ground, animals, & bees. You pay by the pound, i believe it was $3/lb. The owner was really nice & let us know that season starts early-mid September. She let us sample the apple cider, & wow so fresh & delicious. We added a bottle of that too to take home along with our 5lbs of apples. We did end up getting several different kinds, each with its own texture/ taste. Some did have some bruises/brown spots, but it was easy to just cut off & enjoy. Such a fun experience. Will definitely be back next year, earlier this time.

Chickens and turkeys roaming the property and a petting zoo area with alpacas, goats, a horse and pony(this one is a biter so be careful)... o and bunnies. We came the 2nd week of October and most of the apples had fallen or were turning but we did find a few good ones to enjoy the experience and bring home. They provide the baskets and stick to grab the apples. Pay inside to weigh and they bag the apples up for you. On-site is a coffee vendor. The coffee was disappointing to say the least. I ordered their seasonal pumpkin americano and it tasted like burnt black coffee. Also, it was piping hot and they filled my cup so much that when I sat down it spilt on me, burning my leg. Had a few sips and called it a lose. There is also a small gift shop which sells local honey, apples and freshly made apple cider. Porter John for a bathroom and nowhere to wash hands. No hands sanitizer. There was a Home Depot bucket filled with water with a soap bottle aside it but I'm hoping they don't expect anyone to use that and I'm hoping nobody is. This was part of my reason for 4 stars. Also parking was slightly complicated but eventually a worker came to direct me where to park as the only marked parking area that I saw was full. In all, we had a great fall day. Expect to spend about 2.5 hours to let the kiddos explore and play. Everyone who worked their was kind.
