Brown sugar boba milk - my favorite! Get it 100% sweet
    Vivi V.

I always try to stop by R&B tea if I am near one. There aren't many in San Diego so it's always a treat if I can get my favorite drink: brown sugar boba milk. Brown sugar boba milk - my favorite! The fresh milk is so tasty and mixed with a salted cheese foam with brown sugar. (Do not adjust the sweetness down or it won't be as flavorful.) Some other R&B locations offer this is a XL size for $2 more, but not this location. The worker was friendly and made our drinks fast during a weekday afternoon. Parking is plentiful and free in large lot.

It my first time at this location as I usually go to the one at otay ranch mall . As soon as I walked in I was told they were out of boba which I was fine with . I ordered the dragonfruit mango green tea with crystal boba 1/2 sweet and 1/2 ice. Really good . Jessica is the one who helped me and has great customer service . Will definitely come back again

Small shop but with a variety of drink options. I like how they have a kiosk you can order from. Was hoping they had seasonal drinks but they didn't. We got the chocolate oreo stormy and one of their lychee drinks. Both were refreshing but would probably choose different drinks next time.

This place is tucked away into this plaza...ok maybe not tucked away but the sign can seem a bit tucked away compared to the other stores next to it coming off h street. Anyways, R&B had such a cute vibe to it, we were greeted upon entering. They have a good variety of drinks. We got the dragon fruit mango green tea and the Vietnamese coffee. The worker helped me pick as I was torn between two options but I'm happy I got the tea because it was so good ! My partner loved the Vietnamese coffee. We both rated them 10/10. Would and WILL definitely return for more drinks in the future !

Strawberry black tea with lychee jelly

I've been to the Otay Ranch location once and got the hoikkado milk tea with boba, and they didn't give me boba and tasted insanely sweet. This is my first time at this location at Terra Nova, and I wish I hadn't. I got the strawberry matcha latte, fresh taro milk tea, and strawberry black tea. Safe to say I will not come back here. None of the kids finished their drinks, and neither did I. Here is my honest review. Strawberry matcha latte with boba 0/10 Fresh taro milk tea with crystal boba 5/10 Strawberry black tea with lychee jelly 6/10 The strawberry matcha latte was a horrific experience. It was not a milky matcha latte with hints of strawberry and strawberry pieces I was hoping for. Instead, it was almost a grainy texture, tasted downright sour. The strawberry puree or the strawberry component that they used was tart and sour. The strawberry flavor overpowered the matcha because I didn't taste any matcha whatsoever. The boba pearls had a nice chew, but it was hard in the center. If I was blindfolded and had to try and guess the flavor, I would probably say spoiled strawberry yakult??? This has to be the worst drink I've tasted in my life. I might be traumatized. I asked if the taro milk tea had actual pieces of taro since it said fresh, but no, it didn't. Her response was, "It's just a powder." It did not taste like taro one bit. The jasmine flavor overpowered the taro, and it tasted like jasmine milk tea, but purple in color. Although it was not bad, it was definitely not taro. The crystal boba was all floating, weirdly. It tasted alright but wouldn't recommend it. The strawberry black tea with lychee jelly was okay. It tasted slightly tart, but after the ice melted, it tasted better. The lychee jelly has a chewy texture like coconut jelly you buy from the grocery store but in lychee syrup. This was an ok drink , but it wouldn't be my first choice to get it here.

No wait and they have new flavors for the season! There's usually two employees so it's pretty fast. Parking sucks since it's in a small lot. They have music playing and a computer to order yourself.

Wonderfully warm greeting from the cashier. Ordered the Stormy fruit drinks with Boba - Honey Dew and Coconut.

R&B Tea was my go to boba spot for my drinks when they were open in Convoy. After that plaza was closed due to some fire, I am glad that this location here exists! It is smaller compared to its Convoy counterpart that had more seating and lounge space. This one is more of a grab and go and with a self-ordering screen near the entrance if you want to avoid ordering at the counter. I decided on a Roasted Oolong Cream Tea and my boyfriend ordered a Brown Rice Tea. The tea flavor was prominent and the sweetness was adjusted well. The tea options here are plentiful as well as milk based drinks, fruit teas, and snacks like bubble waffle. They used to have a Tiramisu foam at the Convoy location that I wish they offered here. Although I wasn't sure, there definitely were some changes to the menu. Good to know that R&B Tea is still around and I would stop by for tea again.

Came here for the grand opening and the man behind the counter was super nice. Great customer service. They have a wide range of drink selection and for a good price. The inside was clean and bright, just the way I like my boba spots. Can't wait to come back and try something different. Thank you R&B Tea USA for a good first time and for the great deal.

The peach black tea with aloe Vera it's very tasty. My sister go the mangonada has a spicy kick but still good. Staff is really nice. The atmosphere has a chill vibe.

Enjoyed my standard milk tea with boba from this R&B location. Able to order through iPad system or at the register, customize all items including sweetness and ice. I found the 50% sweet was good. Pearls have the correct texture and sweetness although not as much quantity put in each cup as other places which would be the only improvement. Tea was not from powder and had nice flavor. Although enjoyed I think their fruit based teas are even better. Drink was ready in just a couple mins, would return! About $7 all in for the drink

Quick service Thai stormy Clean space Waffles - original and cheese Easy parking Something to note: No WiFi No bathroom I would still recommend this place, especially for the bubble waffles :)

Real passion fruit seeds add authenticity at the bottom of the yummy passion fruit green tea.

Went here a couple months ago and went out of my comfort zone with a refreshing passion fruit green tea. I got it with the recommended aloe vera because it was explained to me that the aloe helps keep the tea cold (boba is warm so it will naturally warm up the tea, too). He made sense, and I'm glad I followed the recommendation! Although it's been a while, I still think about that yummy tea and will be back.

They didn't have any alternative milk, only low fat and whole milk options. I also ordered half sweet but it tasted like full sweetness to me. Drink was powdery, I had a grainy feel in my mouth after every sip. Also the drink was warm, so it wasn't as cold as I would like it and most of the ice was melted. Not sure what was supposed to be roasted but didn't detect any roasted flavor at all. Boba was soft and chewy though. There's so many great boba options out there, I was disappointed with this experience. The cute little ear lid is a nice touch but I'd rather have a smooth matcha drink than cute packaging to be honest. Also, with so many matcha places in SD, this drink really falls short. Service was okay, the cashier seemed confused when I asked for alternate drink options and I had to repeat my order a few times, because he was getting the two matchas confused. Unfortunately, not one of my top choices for boba shops

I've been twice to the new location including its soft opening weekend. I would skip the somewhat overpriced spam musubi. It tasted good but it wasn't life-changing, which I sort of expected for the price. The couple times I went, I found the tables to be sticky so I'd watch out for that as well if you're dining in. The fruit sandos are good if that's your thing. I always find them to be too rich with all the cream and this place was no exception. I've tried all the savory sandos on the menu though, and they're solid. You really can't go wrong. The bobas are pretty good but don't compete with the elite boba shops like 3cat or momofuku. The corn hojicha is what I liked the most out of everything I've tried. Finally, service is average to above average. The person behind the register is usually a disinterested teenagers or 20-something employee but an older guy in the back, presumably a manager, tries hard to accommodate customer requests. So hats off to him.

We parked and noticed nearly all the lights were off. The pastry cabinet was empty, the tables were taped off. But people were inside and customers were in line. Emotions and energy were low, it was quiet and dim vibes all around. We walk in and see just one man working the cashier and making the drinks. He looked puzzled, a bit lost. We get in line behind someone ordering 4+ drinks and see that this guy didn't really know how to make the drinks. He was misplacing the ingredients and wasn't fully confident operating the payment system. The back counter was cluttered with miscellaneous gadgets, appliances, and syrups. It took nearly 20 minutes for the customer in front of us to get from ordering to receiving their drinks and we just watched in slight awe. The guy was apologetic and upfront, he was trying his best in a bad situation. They made some small talk and hinted that they were closing due to supply chain disruptions in Hawaii. I feel for them and wish them well. The coffee itself was ok. Flavor was decent but somewhat unremarkable. They offer different caffeine levels, up to I think 400mg in a drink. I just got the 200mg coffee. Don't know if I just built a tolerance but I fell asleep right after. We did want a pastry but with the baked goods cabinet empty, we weren't sure what they had left to offer. There was a long sign listing everything sold out between the pastries and coffee flavors. Overall the experience was odd and left a slightly bitter emotional taste in my mouth. They've acknowledged that they weren't in the best condition at that point and I do feel unfair to judge them at their worst. If they turn it around, I'm opening to revisiting. But for now, I don't feel compelled to go out of my way for it.
