This wide-open store has displays…read morethat let you browse floor tiles by pulling out enormous flat drawers, and check out wall tiles on huge walls that roll back and forth. Both are big improvements on the system some places use, basically big heavy boards with just a couple of pieces on each, all jammed together in a standing rack. The selection at the East Hanover store is large but thanks to that careful display construction it didn't feel overwhelming to me. Joey A. was a big help with finding selections, suggesting size and color options, giving me quotes in email and correcting a box of broken decorative pieces. Also threw me a small discount, thanks man. As with every tile store I've found, only grout is in stock locally, every other d*mn thing has to come from far away and takes 1-2 weeks. Return policy here on non-special orders is full boxes within 15 days. Which of course is impossible, construction schedules never work out that neatly. Anyhow if you have a full box you should keep that ish for repairs when something goes south three years later. Basically ya gotta treat all sales here as final, don't kid yourself otherwise. These guys also will arrange for shower doors and glass panels, all strictly list price and boy those prices are daunting.

I was just driving home when this Blue Standard Tile Van pulls up so close I can't see the front the vehicle, then proceeds to ride my bumper to a red light where there are lot of cars in front of me. The light turns green but it is not a long light so turns yellow before I am close enough to turn and again the van is super close to my bumper and then he proceeds to swerve into the right lane and make a left through a VERY RED RED LIGHT! He is so close to my bumper that he almost hits the back end of my car and then makes the left turn so sharp he almost hits the front of my car. I arrive home shaken as was my child. I call the store to let them know, the manager or owner, not sure who as they would not provide a name, gets on the phone and just says hello with an attitude. I explain that his driver just almost hit me twice on River Road and then ran a red light onto Route 10. He goes oh, then silence and then finally asks if I am okay. I explain that my child was shaken up and it was very dangerous and try to explain the whole situation but he cuts me off and tells me he has listened to enough of my rant. Then in a very "I don't really care" voice says I said I'm sorry which he never did and then said he would speak to them. He was so rude, condescending and unconcerned it was appalling. I can only imagine how they treat you if you have an issue with their products or service. There are plenty of other tile places, I would suggest one of those that actual cares about other people.

Post completion of the project, Geoff made an extra stop to my home and provided us felt stickers for my furniture so it didn't scratch my floors and a spray mop to clean so I can maintain the floors. He even took off his shoes when entering in as we are a no shoes household. Shortly after my uncle was doing some work in the house so we had cardboard down so we didn't damage the freshly done floors. We also had conversations with Mike and Anthony - they suggested different brands based on what we were looking for in the window blinds we ordered. They were also very friendly and professional. Once a decision was made - they scheduled an appointment to come to our home and take the exact measurements for the products. Their delivery time to obtain and install the new window treatments was extremely reasonable, however we had to cover the windows until the new treatments were available. We didn't want to live in a fish bowl. Once at the house - Anthony again made recommendations on colors as well as temporary - inexpensive blinds from another company until ours were ready. He could have tried to sell us something more expensive from his business, but he didn't. We received a call from Nicole a week before the planned installation date to schedule an appointment. She too was very friendly and professional. A couple of days before our scheduled appointment - Nicole called us again to say a spot opened a day earlier and they could come sooner if we desired. Of course we took the earlier appointment. When appointments are made - we are used to hearing they will be there between 9-12 or 1-3 or other window (no pun intended) of time - but with Window Trends - Nicole said they would be here at 12:30 on the scheduled day. The receptionist was courteous, and I vaguely remember her connecting me to Daniella who came to the front area when she called her. Before that I wandered through that showroom admiring the display of fine and interesting furniture and the overall ambiance. I was totally taken in. Daniella arrived smiling graciously and very matter-of-factly welcomed me into the fabric area. OMG! The array of samples, the tones, colors, variety and quantity. I am still surprised and proud that I walked out there with a decision. The end product rocks! Let me tell you why. Daniella is an expert at what she does. LISTENING to what I described as my need and interest. That is the skill of a professional. It must be understood that I was in fabric heaven and had to choose my robe, one prettier than the other. All I can say is Daniella had her head on in spite of my euphoria. I can go on but suffice it to say It was a moment at the fabric beach. The process of ordering/supplier contact was handled by my trusty designer. My take home orders were to take the materials with my cushions and pillows when they arrive to my upholsterer. Daniella's art of cording by size and effect also helped make the final project what was beyond my expectation. My home is a sweeter more beautiful living space than before. Daniella even understood and supported my idea to add motif planning with tiling that sealed my decor. I regret not paying her separately. .... And I did not overspend!!!!!
