When I came back to pick it up, I was told, "That'll be $50." I was surprised and said, "That's a lot for a little string adjustment." The woman replied, "No, we shortened the length." They had clearly altered the wrong part of the dress. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, she insisted that I had asked them to shorten it. Then she said maybe I had changed my mind, so that I didn't have to pay. Unbelievable! I was shocked. They ruined my dress and then blamed me for their error. I love supporting small businesses, but not ones that don't take responsibility or listen to their customers, and clearly don't know what they are doing.

They never charge me to fix the mistakes. I go here because it is convenient but by no means is it cheap even for dry cleaning but they do a REALLY good job. The ladies co-owners that work there are friendly but not super super in your face bubbly... totally fine! They know most of their customers by name and are always ready to help. When I went in and presented the items, the woman working there took one look at the dress and said "I'm so sorry, this looks really bad. Please come back later when the owner is here." My interaction with the owner is what led to the one star rating. As soon as I walked in she was very combative and said "it's one or two flowers, what's the big deal?" and repeatedly told me "I have no money, I have no business, what do you want me to do?" When I told her I thought she should at least refund me the money I paid for the initial services, she asked me to leave. Mistakes happen! And I was hesitant to write a bad review of a small business - it's difficult to succeed. But the owner's hostility and gaslighting about the dress really surprised me, and made me feel that I had to warn others to not use this business.
