He is a medium long hair cat that can be cranky, uncooperative and does not like to be brushed. This is probably a lot to do with the fact that his coat is very think and tends to get tangled. Gamma loves it after he has this treatment though. He seems to gain energy from getting rid of all that think fur. While we have a home in Grand Blanc, we travel a lot and have used different cat groomers around this U.S. with varying results. Some people have really struggled with him, others have managed him well. Michelle at Ruffly was awesome. She was able to handle Gamma keep him calm and actually had a good time with him. When I picked him up, Gamma was not stressed, and his cut was just about perfect. She clipped his nails, bathed and trimmed his hair. None of these things will he typically tolerate without a major struggle. On top of that, her rate was very reasonable. Michelle is now our favorite cat groomer.

Since I'd never done this before I was hesitant to trust my little friend to strangers. My pup passed her meet-and-greet with flying colors, and it eased a good measure of my discomfort. After having boarded her several times now, were BOTH happy with their staff and services. I never worry about her while she's there, and I often forget to even check in on her (except when my grandkids ask if we can see her!). Now when I pack her things, she knows where she's going, and it's not uncommon for her to be too excited to eat or drink, and even if I'm not ready to leave she'll get in the car and won't get out. We're both happy we found Four Paws Hotel and Day Resort! (I referred my sister to them, and now her dog is a regular when she leaves town as well.)

First it's…read moreon a very busy road, there is no lobby (just a hall leading into the house and garage), you are not allowed To see the grooming area which is the basement of their house, and they are just completely rude. First comment was how both dogs were a mess and needing starting over, shaved they said. Grace put a comb in the top of my bichons head and yanked her head back, proving to me she was totally matted, which she was not. Bichons are curly and so no the comb won't glide through it, no different than human curly hair. I told her I can brush her out fine and don't want her shaved. The older woman said she was raising the price then. I said fine. My Yorkie was shaking like crazy which isn't like her. I knew I shouldn't have left them and worried the whole time they were gone. Upon picking them up my bichon wasn't in her harness/leash and collar was falling off. Grace said she couldn't figure out the harness though it was identical to my Yorkie harness. She finally said she didn't have time to mess with it. Being on such a busy road this was just careless and unsafe since we were right in the hallway leading to the outside. When we got home I noticed my Yorkie had a cut under her eye and my bichon had one on her chest. My Yorkie also had red feet with swollen paw pads. I talked to Grace about this today and again she was completely rude telling me she must have been matted in her feet and the razor got too close. All I wanted was a product name that maybe my dog was reacting too. My girls will never be back!!!

I tried to get him in the grass but he wasn't budging. ultimately it end up on the side walk. when entering the building I waited at the front desk to let the staff know of the incident. while checking my dog in and letting the staff know, Bonnie asked if I wanted to clean it up, I replied I didn't mind I could do that. She pointed to a roll of paper towels . I replied I can't use that it was a little soft she then pointed at some plastic bags... Ok no problem! that would work! I figured I would get him checked in and when they took him back I would gladly clean up his mess. We all know how chaotic a vet waiting room can be. After asking our name and pets name and getting him checked in. Bonnie then said not to worry about it she would get "one of the girls to clean it." I asked repeatedly are you sure I don't mind picking it up? Fast-forward 10 minutes another patient came in. She was trying to let the staff know about the mess on the sidewalk. I smiled and replied I let them know, it was my dog. Sorry about that. I was sitting in the middle part of the waiting room behind the wall, when Amanda (receptionist) made the comment "why do people do that, like come on. why do People let their dog poop right there." After hearing her rude comment about "us people" I peaked around the wall and politely told the staff that it was my dog, and I offered to clean it up.
