I have been going to this place for about 10 years now. I always loved them for their advice, food and toys for my pets. However things have changed. We were using the same groomer for years. She moved on and we got assigned another groomer. The last 3 times we saw her our dog did not want to go. Each time he has came back with raze burn, ears were not done and he was traumatized. We talked to the groomer and she didn't seem to care and ignored our complaints. The last time we picked up our dog the groomer told me that she could not groom our dog anymore because he would not stand up for her while she shampoo him. This was never a problem with our old groomer. Later I got an email from them canceling my appointment for grooming without advanced notice. I don't know what has changed but I have been very disappointed over the last few months and truly expected better from them. I will not be returning, and will take my business elsewhere. read more

An unfortunate experience at this grooming facility. One of the groomers inadvertently set an appointment for my future dog'a nail trim. I called to say that I had not set an appointment, but would prefer to call when a nail trim is needed. We exchanged email messages. Somehow, the manager (Suzy) became quite emotional and left a VM telling me that my dog and I were not welcome there. Of course, I won't go back--but this was handled very unprofessionally. So, beware when you go to this grooming facility. Perhaps better to consider going elsewhere. Did someone say all natural? Naturally 4 Paws is amazing. The store is well kept and the customer service that I received is top notch. Once walking in, my husky and I were promptly greeted with smiles and to see if we had any questions. As I've never been into a natural pet store before, I had plenty. My dog, or so I thought, doesn't like treats. Doesn't like much hahah. We just got him from the humane society and have been feeding him that food since he has been home. My dog doesn't seem to like it. I think it was called scientifically proven or something to that effect.. They also gave us some treats and we picked up some from Petco on the way home. My family and I try to eat an organic whole diet as much as possible and I want to the same for our new member of the pack. She took us around the entire store answering any questions that I had. If there were something that could be tasted (as my husky is very picky, it seemed) and my dog loved it. I never saw him so excited for treats before. They were not trying to upsale us on things but more made recommendations based off of my dogs breed in different price categories. I haven't tried the grooming or other services offered here. Biggest issue is that I've had a hard time reaching them by phone during open hours, and their 'chat' widget on their website just has you fill out a form and submit it so they can get back to you later. New location just feels dirty right when you walk in. Huge space, little selection. "Open" sign continually left on when they are closed. New hours are not friendly to those that take care of errands in the late afternoon or before noon on weekends. Rewards program for buying "x" number of bags of food and getting one free is constantly misused. Somehow I have "claimed" my free bag of food on the same day, but several hours later...almost like when an employee or their friend takes it home. Of course I find out that "I" already claimed it when I expect to get that bag in a week or two on my next visit. Store yes! Love the staff. Training staff, we had an awful experience. I was so disappointed in the way we were treated. We had a private session. The trainer was late, frustrated, and we felt it--all of us. When our dog was called aggressive after he barked once because he was nervous --we recognized the trainer was not willing to understand the dog or our needs. Much later we went into shop at the new store and while waiting for others to join us, I was watching a training when the same trainer snapped at us asking what were we looking at. To the point another group walked in and said, wow that's rude. Well, we simply were observing and waiting on our party. The training is now when we walked in and if she didn't want to be observed, maybe have a sign saying so. Naturally for paws is a wonderful store and I'm sure plenty of people who have had positive training experiences. However, this person has created a negative experience which impacts us even just going to the store to shop. read more

I haven't written a Yelp review in ages but my experience with Noel the dog trainer at Naturally 4 Paws has changed that. I adopted a rescue dog 5 weeks ago. She's a year old and was found with her first owner who had passed away. She definitely had a traumatic start to life. Right from the start I could tell my new fur baby wasn't good with other dogs. It broke my heart because she's full of life and love. She was afraid of other dogs and reacted out of fear. After meeting with Noel once a week for private lessons I'm relieved. My pup is still a work in progress but today we were able to join a intermediate class with other dogs. It was surreal to have my dog with me and not acting out of control because we were around other dogs. Noel takes an honest approach. You must be open to what she has to offer for advice. It's up to you to follow through when you leave the lesson or not. Noel cares - she genuinely wants to train your dog, but more importantly you the owner. She provides the tools, along with feedback and encouragement. She's very patient and trustworthy when introducing an unsocialized dog to others. I'm confident now with my dog interacting with other dogs. I'm in control of the situation and know how to recognize and correct behavior if need be. I can't thank Noel enough for her loving and supportive way of training both dog and owner!! Seriously life changing for both my dog and I. Also nail trimming services for dogs and cats are wonderful! They take their time to come out and greet your pet and talk to you, so both you and your pet are comfortable. I used to take my dog here all the time. It was great and they did a great job until I criticized the groomer for cutting my dog's whiskers off. Her response was "oh I did?" After that, my dog became fearful when I brought her in and that was unusual because she loved going there. The service was really bad, not cutting the nails properly, cutting the bangs (eyebrows) when I told her not to, but the worse thing was when the gal came out to meet my dog, my dog was fearful and peed on the floor. I felt that she had done something to my dog that made her scared of this person. When I contacted management, they acted as though my dog needed training and offered some free classes. They totally disregarded the fact that their groomer had done anything wrong because they were highly trained professionals and put the blame on my dog. Nice place overall! I love what they have in stock. Got my dog groomed here once and the groomer did a good job, but it was sooooo much more expensive than it needed to be I think, and I got charged a lot extra for my dog's bad behavior. He gets anxious and barks and squirms a lot, so I definitely understand having a fee. I have serious empathy for the groomers who have to deal with it, but at petsmart the extra fee for that is lower and more reasonable, and the groomers at petsmart in my experience have always actually been a bit cooler about how crazy he was. Maybe it was just a bad day? I know grooming isn't always an easy job so I'm definitely not upset about it, more so just surprised by the differences in fees between the locations! When I walk into a Petco I get depressed. The employees look unhappy with their jobs and don't know where to find items like dog supplements. Naturally 4 Paws is locally owned and focuses on animal nutrition. The healthier the pet the less visits to the vet. This is the only place my fur baby gets all excited when we drive up. He loves coming here to pick out his Froom food. The sales people are always so helpful and knowledgeable. He likes the bakery display and always wants a treat, which the sales staff always more than happy to give him one. I love the fact they carry top of the line products! I never have to worry if it's made cheaply or if it is going to fall apart. I would highly recommend this company to make sure you get the best quality of service and brands. Naturally 4 Paws is hands-down the BEST pet store you can visit in Kitsap County. My dog has severe allergies, and the staff has been knowledgeable and helpful every time we have stopped in. Whether I'm asking about food and treats, supplements, skin care or accessories, these people really know their stuff. The store is well-stocked and the only thing I haven't been able to find there is a breed-specific magnet for my car ("I Heart My Boxer"), which they happily offered to hold for me once the order arrives. Seriously, anything you need they have it. If your pet needs vitamins, they have them. Catnip? They have that too. Alfalfa for your bunny rabbit? Yup, it's there. They have all sorts of hiking and sporting equipment for outdoor excursions with the pup, too. The price point is a little higher, due to the holistic/natural market niche they occupy (think Safeway vs. Whole Foods). HOWEVER, it's totally worth it because I can trust that everything they recommend for my pet is natural, safe and healthy. They're locally owned, too, and I'm willing to pay a bit more to support local business. read more

Updating my review now that N4P is my dog's regular groomer. My dog blends the attention hogging of a diva with the desire to always be dirty of a regular dog. So regular visits to a groomer are right up her alley. Fortunately, dog and groomer have formed a spiritual bond. Sara always does an exceptional job with her, and every time we bring the dog in, she makes a beeline for the grooming side. We won't go anywhere else. Our dog won't let us. Store Hours: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm Monday - Saturday 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sunday Has a self service dog wash for a low cost (for shampoo, conditioner, the water, brushes, etc) and has everything you could possibly need. The do the cleanup duty and also have those grooming tethers in there in case you need them. They also sell holistic pet food, toys, training, and pet holiday photos. The staff is great on advice if you need help finding the right food or product and are always in a great mood. Parking is a little iffy but isn't a really big issue since there is a lot of places to park if you don't mind parking further down from the store. I have always found it to be worth going to. I already have been giving out their business cards to all my friends and relatives since I discovered it in October. If you have a big dog or even a small one that gets antsy during bath time you should give this place a try. They also have the new hydro-surge baths so that is a plus! Easy to use systems, no clean up, all supplies there and it costs $20 for the baths last time I checked. Toenail clippers available too in the bath basket they give you. read more

Horrible customer service. I initially started buying puppy food and supplies from here, and they said all of their products were guaranteed. I spend $90 on my bags of food there as well as other treats, toys and supplies. I have spent hundreds of dollars there over the past few months, and when I tried to exchange a $15 bag of treats, they gave me a hard time. JP, the manager came up with all the reasons refusing to return the treats, even if it meant him losing a loyal customer who just wants a good treat for her puppy. I'll never set foot in there again. My puppy's exact food is much cheaper at Petco, and they'd gladly exchange treats. Pay attention to the quality and prices of their products, they're inflated tremendously compared to Petco because of the title "Naturally 4 Paws". I will not be bringing any business to this place again. I referred "Naturally 4 Paws" to my friends who have bought from the same litter, and I will no longer be recommending this place to anyone. read more

New Poulsbo location was my first encounter with this business. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. No pressure sales. Staff took the time and asked questions about our pets. My dog has a type of wasting disease like deer and other hoofed animals get. All her blood work comes back cancer and parasite free. She drinks water constantly and has a finicky appetite. This dog is skin and bones now in a very short period of time. This store provides the same kind of foods I cook for my sick dog. All natural meats and vegetables and broths.
