If you want to spend hours and hours and basically wait around forever then this is the place for you. They never take one customer and fully finish the customer first, they keep switching between multiple customers in order to take as many clients as possible. I totally understand that they are super nice people and are short staffed but this is no way to run a business. I expect better service and full attention considering that I am paying the same price as any other salons in the area that will give you that one on one attention. I just don't understand how they leave one customer and have you waiting for long periods of time while they take on other customers and keep running back and forth. They need to hire more workers and provide better service. read more

Of course I give them 5 stars, they are Van and Lisa! I have been a customer of theirs for years, ever since they were at their old location on 63rd & Girard. I followed them to their new shop, that I personally love because it is so comfortable. This is the place you come to for good nail work, but also great customer service. They really appreciate your business. Lisa is very very very nice and you can always count on Van for some laughs. The other employees are pleasant and treat you like a customer should be treated. The place is clean and welcoming. You can listen to tunes while you get your nails done, or catch a show on TV. The pedicure and manicure service is excellent and I never leave disappointed. Lisa is the ONLY person I let touch my eyebrows. I will look like shewolf before I let someone else jack them up. They give good service and prompt attention. read more

Always had great service when I come here. The fat person in me feels bad to say I generally don't make it here because of the hike up the hill. Sorry, not sorry. There are plenty of salons on 69th but Vanlisa is definitely the best. Expect some wait on most days but I've never waited long enough to complain. I've been coming to Van and Lisa since they were in their old location on 63rd & Girard. Their work is phenomenal! I do get frustrated that there aren't as many techs on hand as there are at other nail salons, as the waits can be over an hour sometimes, but they do such a good job that I can never stay away for too long. They're reasonably priced, but still manage to give a relaxing but succinct experience. For me, that's a win/win! read more

I walked in and was immediately greeted. The guy I'm guessing who's Van did my nails. He did a great job with the round shape of my nails but why not use a base coat before adding polish? I'm still looking for a new salon since my previous salon is no longer around. I'm not crazy about the prices either. 25 for a fullset, 15 for a refill and 7 for eyebrows! I'm use to paying $15-16 for nails and brows not $22 oh plus the extra $1 for the so called "high credit card fee". My nail already messed up I guess what I thought was dry wasn't smh and the bubbles in my nails are annoying! read more

For my first time here I give it 4 stars. The space is nice and big. Very clean and comfortable. Customer service is very nice. In my nails are fabulous. I came on a good day and time. Early. Been going to Lisa and Van since they had one table on giard ave. they moved and had to hunt them down but I found them lol. top quality work every time and all ways very friendly. They can get crowded at times depends on the day. Parking is the only issue. If you feel like a brisk walk I suggest parking at 69st garage and walk over. But keep some quarters for the meter, the salon is in a mini shopping center. So customer from other business can take up the parking spaces read more
