I went in to check out a Honda prelude. Admittedly it's a difficult car to find. I asked if I could test drive the car and was told no. The reason they gave was "it's a hard car to find and they sell really fast, if you don't buy it what if the next guy wants no miles on it". It's a baseless argument. The car is only 42k, with just 200hp. It's not some exotic sports car, it's a fast selling hybrid. Maybe I would have bought it but there's no way in hell I'll ever "buy first drive later". I can't recommend enough just how unpleasant that is for me. I can't even imagine how they're supposed to make a sale without a test drive. read more

We bought are 2019 Ridgeline from Van's new in 2019. First new vehicle we ever bought. We never received a thank you or even a follow up in months after. Every time we call for service we are treated as if we are bothering them. There is no reason I would ever go back to them. Our truck has had recalls and known issues and again no sense of urgency on there part to help. It seems every time we call it is inconvenience to them. We bought a Acura from Bergstrom and they have been excellent. They follow up and work with you on any concerns or issues. We could have bought the Ridgeline online and received better customer service. We have an issue it the transmission it is known issue with Honda and they are not willing to help. read more

I've bought 2 cars from here and have had my cars serviced several times. My experience has been very positive, they do not seem to overcharge for repairs, nor do they try to convince you to pay for unnecessary add-ons. The only thing that has bothered me is how hard the last salesperson I had pushed for me to get an upgraded warranty. Van's Honda Helps Stranded Chicago Bears Fan & a Vacationing Family of Six in Distress! 4:45pm on a Friday, we were headed north from Chicago on I-43 and pit-stopped at the Maribel Rest Area, just south of Green Bay. We returned to our 2006 Odyssey - it wouldn't start. Called Van's Honda and eventually requested to speak with a general manager. GM Drew Vander Perren answered promptly. I told Drew my situation and requested assistance with rescuing my family vacation. Drew immediately offered assistance by agreeing to stay late if necessary (Van's was closing at 6pm), to receive our towed Odyssey, and to personally start the paperwork for our 6-passenger loaner Odyssey (Drew asked if we needed an Odyssey or a Pilot). Drew also provided his personal cell number so my wife could promptly locate him when she arrived at the dealership with the towed van. We were all able to join the rest of our family further north, as planned. Everyone was impressed with the level of service provided from Van's Honda. Monday morning, Drew called and told us our Odyssey needed a starter swap, and that they would source an aftermarket starter in order to get us back on the road before the end of the day. On behalf of my immediate family in Chicago, and my Wisconsin family, I want to thank Drew for his personal attention, and also Van's Honda for rescuing our weekend vacation. Last Wednesday (11/24/21) I was at Cabela's in Ashwaubenon and when I returned to my 2019 Odyssey, it wouldn't start. I called Van's and the first person I spoke with was extremely unhelpful, telling me that she had no way to look up if I had a service plan or not. Eventually she transferred me to the service department manager, Jory, who was able to look up my service plan in about 3 seconds. He was so helpful and kind and offered to send the GM, Drew, out to help me. Drew arrived at Cabela's quickly and was able to jump start my van. He wanted to make sure that there were no issues with my van and offered me a loaner and then waited, and watched two toddlers, until I had moved all of my things (including two children and two car seats) into the loaner so he could take my van into the service department to be checked out. I appreciated how amazing and helpful both Jory and Drew were. I highly recommend them! read more

I went into the dealership, never greeted, no one ever approached me. I was there with the intent to buy. Maybe because I was a woman!?!? I walked around for 20 minutes looking at cars. I finally turned around went to the door and raised my arms and yelled "big mistake, huge"! My Pretty Women act! Never shop there, they're lazy inept people! We took the car here for a routine oil change and a tire rotation. My wife called for an appointment. They told her to just stop in in the morning. When we arrived they asked if we had an appointment. When we told them what the phone receptionist said, they said they could give us an afternoon appointment that day. We just drove 30 miles and didn't want to go home and come back hours later. We expressed our disappointment with the service and miscommunication. This is what spared them a 1 star rating, the service attendant said to leave the car and he would work it in as soon as possible. He offered us a loaner car because he said it would be at lease an hour and a half. They called us 45 minutes later and said it was done. When you drop the ball, you pick it up again. What happened here was in my opinion a fumble recovery. We will be back as this is part of our service agreement to be serviced at a qualified Honda dealer. It's not worth going 30 miles further to Manitowoc. Next time we will be sure to insist on an appointment. read more

I recently purchased a used Honda from a friend. Stopped at Vans to inquire about service options-having never been to this dealership before, and having not owned a "foreign make" vehicle in over 35 years. Despite my being the only customer present at the Service Check-In at about 2 PM on a midweek day, Service Department personnel were a little slow to acknowledging my arrival, being engaged in conversation amongst themselves. The process of getting information was a bit awkward at first. I am unsure if it was a lack of knowledge, or interest. The rep was otherwise professional in cordial. After obtaining my needed service information, I then inquired about Detailing Services. Since Service was not familiar with the details of their Detail Service (pun, unintentional), and no literature or postings were available, I was referred to the Show Room. Show Room personnel also were unfamiliar with the specifics of the Detail Service. After speaking with them I was still unclear as to whether such could be found on their website. They were also not familiar with the pricing of such services. I was told their Detail Person was with a customer and signing papers. I was offered coffee and cookies in there spacious and very clean Customer Waiting Area. I was told it may take about 20 minutes for the rep to come and speak to me. After having waited some time, I decide to take a stroll to the Show Room and look at some of the newer models being offered. After spending about 10 minutes on the floor, I returned to the Waiting Area-not having been contacted by anyone (e.g, "have you been helped yet?"). Upon that return, I realize that four to five customers who had been sitting there prior to my initial arrival were now gone. I made eye contact with 2 passing dealership managers (I presume that based on white shirts); neither acknowledged in anyway my presence. I was then passed by the Show Room person, who also made no attempt to contact me or to update me on my request status. After watching enough television, I decided to leave. Upon returning to my vehicle I realized it was now just after 3:30 PM...90 minutes had past since I first arrived. Although this Honda dealership is well adorned, extremely clean, and very impressive looking on the inside and out (having finished a remodeling project with in recent years). As a new and potential customer I felt very much ignored and left with the impression of disinterest on the part of the majority of staff I encountered. The only element that will bring me back as a customer, will be necessity- that being if I cannot obtain service or help elsewhere. As for the detailing, I am now making arrangements to have it done by Gandruds ( who did a fabulous job for me on a previous vehicle - their inside out package is under $200 ). They also said they could do several types of repairs and maintenance on my Honda. read more

I had a similar experience with coming in for a recall, and having my van rearranged, but mine was less devastating to the contents. I was surprised as well about that, but I guess that is where the fuel filter stuff is. I was surprised at how much gas smell was in the car too. They did a great job of fixing my car though, and had delicious cookies and tea and coffee. I ordered a part or two from them in the past as well, and they call very promptly when they get in. They also noted some things that needed work which they noticed while on the job, and all were accurate, which I appreciated. It would have been neat if they had put things back in my car the way they had been, but they seemed careful. read more

This is the worst honda dealer place ever. I went in to get a routine service done. An hour into dropping off my car, one of the guys called saying, we need you to urgently make this decision, one of your tires is poor, we will need to replace it it costs you 400 dollars for the one tire. I told them to put the spare on and asked them to wait till I see what the issue is . They were forcing me to make a decision on phone. Told me one of the tires is damaged. As I went back an hour later the sales person in the service dept, started pressuring me changing all four tires just coz , and guess what if you buy them today you will receive a rebate. etc etc. I told them i will be back in a week and the jerk says , your spare to drive on it for a week would be dangerous. We only have this quality of tires etc etc. Now the final bill apart from servicing which ofcourse was 1500 dollars, they make a notation asking me to change my brakes and my battery. The stupidest part of this is my tires were brand new from feb 2015 , and my battery is as recent as may 2015. Then on the bill they decide to give me another threat, you brakes need to be replaced within such and such time frame and your charges will be close to 500 dollars. They try to instill pseudo fear into you and they try to rip you off.. read more

I will never go back to Van's Honda. When I bought my new Honda they talked me into there dent protection they toldme any dent I got from another car opening there door that made dent wold be covered 100%. Since then I've taken the car in twice. And both times they told me the dents weren't covered because of the location. I also took it in for an oil change and tire rotation. I made sure the windshield wash was full be fore taking it there. They change me for filling it. And after looking There was damage done to one of the rims before I took it there. When I looked at the tires they were never rotated the tire was in the same place. When I showed them that they gave me a free oil change and rotation next time I come. So buyer please be were they will tell you anything to sell you there protection. And will never back it up. They said they were sorry for what the salesman told me and by the way he know longer works there. So it's my word against there's all the can say is they are sorry. Sorry doesn't cut it. Also they told me te first dent would cost me $600.00 to fix. I went to a dealer ship in my town and they fixed it for $300.00 Just to show you how they will rip you off. So buyer please be careful . And think twice before you take out any of there high priced protection. They will not back them out you will be out all that money for nothing. . read more

just purchased van. have a warranty issue and wanted to schedule first service. when i had purchased the vehicle there selling pitch was if we buy from them would always get a loaner vehicle. well turns out they do not have loaner vehicles and was lied too. and there scheduling is so inconvienent to work around peoples work schedules. i will not be returning to this place.its a shame when you buy an excellent product and dont have the service to back it up. no care for the customer after the sale. strongly recomend not buying any product from this organization they will not make it easy for any future help with there products read more
