So if you have teenagers then this has to be a store you frequent. My daughter has tennis shoe game and now my son is trying to catch up. This is our local vans store in Moval. I will tell you the staff is always helpful and a lot of fun. This visit Adrian helped us. He was super cool with my son and told us which vans were his favorites. All in all really nice store usually super busy on weekends, I prefer the weekday. They are also always staffed appropriately. vans has always felt very welcoming until their new supervisor took control over their store. The manager with the full on tattoos and black hat has always been very disrespectful to my family and I the times I have gone. Every time I have gone she is always doing the same thing which consists of folding t shirts and when you ask her for help she tells you to go ask another person. That's not okay, she was looking at my family and I in an odd way when we came up for help and like i said she sent us with an another employee which I am glad because Jose he was very helpful and extremely nice. So I don't know if this has to do with race or anything but when someone came up to her that was no skin color she was extremely friendly and offered to help them reminder she was still folding clothes. The manger in charge of this store truly discouraged me from coming back. I've had bad encounters with her in galleria at Tyler and now here in Moreno Valley. She is truly a very rude manager, and I've seen the way she treats her employees and it's truly disappointing. She is never helpful and always makes her employees take over for everything and is even really rude when she pulls them to the side to talk to them before they have even started doing anything. And also I would like to point out the way she dresses since working in a public area like a clothing store why would you wear a short dress and skirts especially when there are kids around you. i have never come across a manager more disrespectful and unprofessional in any store like I have at this one. The girl covered completely with tattoos and short hair was extremely rude my family and I, when we went shopping the other day. I understand that as a manager you have to be everywhere but you are also working in a setting with multiple people and are expected to at least be nice to your customers. Today I was in Store #26 in Moreno Valley, Ca. I had my two small children with me ages 5 and 3, I was there buying a last minute gift for my husband that I wanted my kids to take part in. My son is Autistic and I always keep him in our Keenz Wagon to avoid any incidents. When I walked in, team member Alejandra greeted us and offered assistance due to not being able to maneuver well in the store. She brought me to the back of the line and offered to personally grab the shoes we needed. While waiting for her, Manager Chris said to me that I couldn't wait in line without product, I said that Alejandra was grabbing our shoes and that there wasn't anyway I could make it to the back with our Stroller Wagon. He responds "That's not my problem" I continue to wait for Alejandra when Associate Jimmy walks up and in an extremely rude tone says to get out of line since I don't have product. I said that Alejandra was assisting me and that I couldn't maneuver through the store. He proceeds to yell saying "well you aren't the only woman here with kids". I asked for the corporate number to report this he yells over me and says "go ahead and report whatever you want they love me over there." I was so humiliated in-front of the entire store and my poor kids. I cannot understand how two different men can be so disrespectful and unwilling to assist a mother with a special needs child. We had purchased a pair of shoes for our 14 year old son for Christmas. I was not a big fan of the loafer-like style, because it offered little support for our sons feet. But it was the style he wanted. We had to come back a few weeks later to exchange for the proper size. He actually started wearing them the first week of January after holiday break. 4 weeks later the rubber trim around the perimeter of the shoes are cracking in various places. We go back to Vans to ask about the problem. The employee states that this is pretty normal, but the problem should not get worse, nor would it allow the canvas tops to start tearing. He also states that if the problem gets any worse, we will be happy to make it right. 6 weeks later, the rubber cracking is worse, and the canvas is now tearing. We go back to the store again, only to find out that there is little they can do. The employee finally caves in, and says he would be willing to replace them with another pair, which is not exactly the solution I was hoping for, as we had already replaced them with something better. These $50+ Van shoes could not even make it 3 months, and you think I want another pair?? The funny part was there were a couple of customers in line behind us that said their experiences were similar, and 1 woman said we got more mileage out of them than her son did. Thats pretty sad. We told the clerk we wanted a refund, but he said all he could do was a replacement. We asked for store credit to purchase something else, but no go. I cannot fault the employee, as he was trying to be helpful and courteous, but this is a very poor quality shoe, and the company should be ashamed of putting something like this on the market. My son only wears them to and from school, and the shoes have in no way been abused. No bike riding...no skateboarding....nothing. We spent well over $300 at this store during and after the holidays, and this particular shoe was just garbage. Heck, we spent over $20 in gas just going back and forth from the store after the problems started, and they won't even offer store credit? They have lost a customer due to their inability to offer a satisfactory solution, and we avoid their products in the future. read more
