It may be chaotic going through their stuff, overwhelming at best but you can't ignore the deals they have here. It can also be therapeutic finding rhe things you needed and filling your cart with things you just want. Be careful here as you can spend more than you really needed. I like getting my face towels, make up remover and press on nails here as they always have such great deals on them. So many selections that you wanted them all. Definitely a place to kill time and make your wallet cry if you're not careful (lmfao) read more

I am coming on here because I have had the same experience one too many times with the dressing room clerk. I always greet her with a smile, and every single time I am treated rudely and as if I'm going to steal, or am some untrustworthy criminal. She is not at all kind, grabs things from me, rolls eyes, uses a harsh tone, is judgmental, and this happened more than 4 times. Some of the clerks here are really kind, but every time I go to the dressing room I leave feeling angry and entirely disrespected. read more

I will say I never write reviews, but this interaction. I can't even call it interaction because the bitch didn't even greet me. I don't know who she is but she's small white girl with braids, freckles light brown hair, and she was wearing a vest this day. She didn't look at me, but not once only thing she told me was my total when she went to give me my receipt. Her back was turned to me her head faced me, and just handed it to me from behind without looking at me, didn't even say thank you for shopping or at all or bye. She was too busy chatting with two other coworkers one an Asian lady and another Mexican girl with thick eyelashes both were all chatting about about inventory worrying about whoever Jim was and not any of them said hello at all they were too busy. she just thinks that she's worked there for so long she can do what she wants because that's the vibe that I got. they do not care about customer service here. They are slow young teenagers all working there who don't have any sense of urgency or kindness for customer service? I definitely will not be returning because all the prices are ridiculous here and will be happier at the Modesto one which is cleaner and more organized with people who have care for their customers unlike this shitty place. read more

I'll give 3 starts the store is clean, organized, has great options for purses, kitchen supplies. I went in a few days ago took my time finding things I needed.The last thing I did was look at clothes. I needed try on and the lady at the dressing room gave me my number and I politely asked can she keep a eye on my cart so no one will take what I had in my cart. She said well I can't really do that I have things to do. I said ok put the clothes back and walked away. Sense of urgency leaves a lot to be desired here. Stood in line for ten minutes on my lunch hour to just grab one item. Only two checkers while 3-4 others just stood there chatting. The line grew out the the clothing area. They called for one checker. Took five minutes. I've never seen employees move and walk so slowly like customers don't even matter. This is the smallest T J Maxx store I've seen anywhere in the country. It's even smaller than a store I shopped in a town of 35,000. That said, service is always friendly and they don't follow me around the store. As far as clothing goes, men's clothing is very limited at all times. As with any liquidation store, it's better to check every few days in order to get the best deals. There don't seem to be any shoes. Ross has those, even though their supply is meager. I've bought a few shirts and a cooler weather hoodie and everything was fine. Clearance prices make everything even better. The store has quite a bit in kitchen supplies and prices are decent. Food to be prepared is sparse but available. I'm not sure whether it's the size of the store or something else. Snacks and chocolate seem readily available. They have a few pieces of furniture but the prices seem a bit high. A trip next door to Pier 1 should fix that perception, I suppose. read more

Went Tuesday afternoon, located across the street from Home Depot, plenty of spots to park in the lot. Upon entry, the store was bright and clean. Layout flow for shopping experience works well. Employees were in sight and within asking distance. They all seem very helpful when customers needed assistance. One of the better TJ Maxx, customer service-wise, in the surrounding areas. If I could give this store an F minus would. Stood at the cash register with the light on for about five minutes no cashier there I was completely ignored until I spoke up and asked if they are interested in collecting money. Apparently the cashier just walked off they were about eight women behind the counter none of them paid any attention. I left my things on the counter and walked out I will never go into the store again and I will recommend the any men avoid this place. Came in today 5/9/22 at 10:20 am. Got a few kitchen items and found a really good clearance moisturizer for $4.50 with the red tag on. A bunch were in the clearance. Go to ring up the lady tears it off and says it's the wrong tag. Calls someone to look for another. Couldn't find one. So now she says it cost more. I've been going to this specific TJ Maxx for nearly a decade and always find good sales and great customer service , but when I asked if she can honor the clearance price it was a straight no. As a former retail worker, it's always a number 1 priority to give great customer service so the customer returns. She said "we don't do that". More like she just didn't want to. Horrible customer service when you need to return something. I purchased 2 XS dog kennels. My dogs were not able to stand and move around comfortably inside, so I went to return it the next day. The labels and price tags were still on it's the cashier was very rude and said "it's used!" I said "no, it's new. I just purchased it yesterday." She said "There's a dog hair on it." There literally one single dog hair on the outside of the kennel! Then she won't let me return it claiming the credit card I'm using is not the same one I used for purchase. It's the same card!! I had to return again the next day using the same card showing them the charge is the same showing up on Apple Pay and the printed receipt. Even as another cashier process the refund, giving me a receipt clearly stated refund.. still telling me it's not the same card. She said "we are not responsible if the refund doesn't go through." How stupid are these cashiers?!?! The refund went through! Their attitude is beyond unprofessional. Please train your staffs! I would never shop there again. Usually when I go in there, all of the employees are really nice but there's just this one girl. She has a blackish/brown curly hair with green eyes. She's light skin. She is so rude, I mean, when I asked her a question her vibe just came off as she like didn't want to be there she didn't want to work. I have more clothes than other types of merch - a little messier than Ross and I have found that the checkout process is not quite as quick or well organized. Although this discount store is the closest & most convenient for me it definitely not one of my favorites. The store is definitely better than Ross, it's more organized, their items are of better quality, and of course the location isn't in the ghetto. So yes they're better than Ross but compared to MarshAlls I would have to say they would come in second place out of the three. This store is always neat, organized, sand the stAff is pretty helpful for the most part. Due to their lack of variety though that is how Marshalls's takes the cake. This store might carry more name brands but their name brand products often look outdated or they're just not cute. I do have to give them plus points though for carrying "Butter London", "Essie", & "OPI" nail polish! read more
