I really like this place. The staff is very knowledgeable and will try to find the best product for you. If you get sold a defective part, they've got your back. Sometimes they can get a bit slammed by customers, but the place has comfy couches to relax on if there's some wait. A lot of times a single guy's manning the shop, so he's gotta grab lunch or something. That's fine with me. Their prices are higher than what you'll find online, but generally you want to try this stuff out in person before you buy anyway. I caught on to VaporDen's ways a long while ago. They buy HealthCabin ejuice at $5 a pop from the supplier in China and mark it up to $30. I just so happened that my order was delayed from China, so I ran by the store to see if I could get a deal on a few bottles. I got offered a 10% discount? $24! For something that cost them $5. To a customer who's supported them since they opened. The guy that runs the place now, has a massive chip on his shoulder. I couldn't even enter into an adult conversation with him, without him talking over me, asking me to leave and then telling me I'm banned from the store as I walked away. I don't have the time to deal with this level of immaturity from somebody who wants my money. I highly recommend Delux Vapor on University avenue. Their staff are super polite, they give you the time of day you deserve and they don't try to rip off their loyal customers. read more

This is the place to by ALL things Vapor. I've been vaping for 2 years now, and have recently begun playing with MODs. They have everything I need. I've been to a couple of the new spots that have recently opened up (Vapor Den is the original shop in Berkeley and SF too I believe), but none of those other spots have the same level of customer service, and I love sampling all of the flavors at Vapor Den, especially the high end flavors they have. The shop is very cool and relaxed, without any of the attitude you get at the other spots that try to play like they are too cool. Sam and Angie are always helpful, and Sam is a pro with coiling and anything to do with MODs. I just have to comment... not sure why this shop is only rated a 3.5. Some of the negative reviews are blatant trolls (Angela B. is obviously the girlfriend of the guy at Delux). Also, this store has made a ton of improvements ever since their remodel and expansion, so hopefully they'll start getting some more recent reviews. read more

This place is not a good place to go. Its only good if you are curious about vaping and want a nice starter kit then go here. But if you want dont want good customer service and don't mind sharing saliva. Then go here. After visiting "it is vapors", "tasty vapors" and "vape bar" you would think this place was served out of a backroom business. Its good if you are starting to ween off cigarettes. But you won't find the 0mg of nicotine at all. Flavors are a miss and a hit.. mostly misses. I'm used to using vape condoms so I'm not sharing saliva with anyone. They carry ego sticks and similar setups. You won't find any mods there nor find anything reasonable in price.. too pricy cause they know there is no other vapes stores near by. Only a few tanks with flavors were present. More over they did not have all tanks full and ready for tasting. Power stick for vape not fully charged to bring out full flavor. I shouldn't have to question it.. Bottom Line: Dont waste your time. There are better places than this. read more

I just quit smoking and started vaping this week. I bought a cig2o brand starter kit from High Times smoke shop, but was dismayed to later find that the only replacement cartridges that would fit my make and model were expensive and didn't come in a lot of flavors. There were a lot of online shopping options, but I didn't know if they would taste good or be compatible. Luckily Vapor Den is right down the street and they let you try different e-juices to see which ones you like. They showed me how to refill my own cartridges and I was able to buy small sample sized bottles so that I could get several flavors. And the price was very good. This is a huge relief to have Vapor Den so close. I tried seven different smoke shops before finding this one, and none of those shops really had any e-cigarette knowledge or options. It is awesome to have a vape-specific storefront that caters to what I'm looking for and that will answer all my related questions. Also, the staff were very friendly and relaxed. The overall atmosphere is pleasant and calm. I highly recommend this place. I know, just after this first purchase, that I will be a regular customer. Sam is the man! Always super helpful and knows his stuff. Definitely would recommend vapor den for anybody trying to quit smoking. I haven't bought a pack of cigs since I started using the e-cig... I don't see why there is so many negative reviews. Everytime i have gone in the guy in the front was super helpful. He took the time to explain the difference between the different types of mods and was overall really helpful. Like jessica said, the employees are insanely rude, and expect you to understand everything about a vape before you walk in (while not knowing much about it themselves). I truly appreciate community business in it's utmost. I love the ambiance of the shop, the nook it's in, the etchings Jacques father did, the library card drawers with nice flavors....... all on days that Jacques isn't there which isn't much I truly appreciate this place. Every time I walk into this place it becomes more uncomfortable and more uncomfortable, I simply come in and spend roughly 200 bucks a month and would simply like juice. I wait patiently, don't talk to much, don't dress well because I come from a government related labor job, hell when I accidentally woke him up on the couch and was told to get the flavors myself I didn't mind and when I told him I was ready to pay so he'd get his ass up off the couch I didn't mind. I did mind when I went in today unfortunately around closing time... honestly unaware and coming from the dentist... I told him I'd come back tomorrow but he abrasively insisted on helping me. I asked Jacques if he had ordered a Smok set up that I had asked him for (even expecting he hadn't based on the last numerous visits) he asked "what did we talk about"...... I said " that unit right there and if you didn't order it it's totally fine, no big deal."......... he responds abrasively, " WHAT DID WE TALK ABOUT!?!?!?"........... knocked off guard I respond.... mind you I just came back from the dentists... So I don't respond, I take this as a passive aggressive hint that for months you've been telling me that you don't want me there. Funny thing is I've heard this story quite often and funny thing is after the Weed shop down the street went in this shop has been going down hill. As I told Jacques there's plenty of stores to buy my gear from on the way home. So get bent Jacques and good luck on your Dj'ing cool 50 year old guy. read more
