Wildly impressed by Matt (a 3rd generation HVAC professional) from Vardell's Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration!! We called him among many other A/C companies to inspect the A/C and furnace of the new home we were in escrow to purchase in Yuba City. He called us right back within minutes and agreed to come out the next day to inspect the system for the lowest price of 4 different companies! We had a different company to inspect initially who said that the furnace was cracked and that a part needed to be replaced in the outdoor A/C unit which meant we needed request a whole new HVAC system for our soon-to-be home. We were so worried about the findings of this initial inspection that we wanted a second opinion. So glad we found Matt to ease our worries! He was so diligent and meticulous with his inspection; he preformed multiple valid and accurate tests on the A/C and furnace and determined that the system was completely fine and in working order and in no need of replacement or repair! What a relief! It was clear that he was not in the business to sell us a new system, unlike the first inspector! Not only that, he was so honest, professional, kind, supportive, and friendly. He even found and reported a cracked support in the attic that no one out of the 4 different companies who went up there reported. Talk about amazing customer service! We were able to close on our house because of his inspection! We will forever be grateful for his help and our relator found her new go-to HVAC professional! We were so impressed by his level of knowledge, service, and care that we will be using him for all of our HVAC needs for our new home moving forward and recommending him to anyone and everyone we know with an HVAC! I want to share some information about Vardell's Air Conditioning located in Yuba City CA: I was impressed with not only their professionalism, but also their thoughtfulness towards our Family. Our older Air Conditioner had stopped working and needed to be repaired for replaced. After spending some time diagnosing the AC problem, a possible solution was found and a backup plan for a new AC system was suggested if the part for the older Air Conditioner could not be found. A part was ordered and was installed about three days later. Price: around $800.00. After the AC Unit repair. I asked The young Technician (Matt) what He liked about working at Vardell's Air Conditioning. He had only good things to say about the Company Work Ethic, and the thoughtful and supportive nature of all who worked at Vardell's Air Conditioning. I was impressed. Last Year, we had others come out to check our AC Unit. We wanted to know if it could be fixed. All said "No", and then preceded to give us quotes of $30,000 for a new AC Unit. I am very careful with whom I select to do work on my home. I also called five other companies to come out and provide me estimates. Vardells was able to beat everyone in price, quality and workmanship by a long shot. Vardells is an amazing ac company the customer service they provide is like no other. When I called about my ac they sent someone over right away to fix the problem and replaced my ac outside unit for a reasonable price. My ac unit was replaced in April stopped working in July due to a manufacturer defect and they had it replaced with in a few hours. The owner and his team are amazing. Okay!!!! We're cooking with gas now! We were out of town over the weekend came home to a 90 house in 113 temperatures we called around and Vardell's responded that same day. With the heat as crazy as it is we were expecting to have to suffer for a few days, but NO! Steven and Tony showed up the next day. Took a look at our unit and were able to replace the motor within a few hours. They were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, and most importantly efficient! They get 5 thanks guys! The person that came out wouldn't even get on the roof to look at the system. Sent an apprentice up who said there was nothing wrong with the system. I knew better because it was blowing warm air. He was rude and condescending to us when we asked him questions. The system was fixed by someone else the next day with a $28.00 part. Would NEVER recommend using them to anyone. read more

Our A/C decided to blow up right in the middle of 100+ temps (of course) and we contacted Vardell's since they kept our old unit alive over the years. They were in the area and came right over to check it out. Although they felt they might be able to save us some money and salvage the old unit a little longer we decided to replace it. Best move ever...super unit and unbelievably quiet. They fit us into a packed schedule and installed it two days later while two different well known competitors said it would take up to two weeks and both wanted us to buy a furnace as well! If I could give less than 1 star I would. Without a doubt this is the MOST unprofessional business I've ever dealt with. Heat went out thanksgiving week. They promised to come out and they did but they didn't have the part to fix it. Waited more than a week to get it fixed because once the part came in it was faulty and they had to order another. Once that one came in heater still didn't work. Turned out it was a simple fix that didn't require replacement of the original piece but the technician was new and had no idea what he was doing. Plus he wouldn't refer to me by my name and kept calling me "hun". He only stopped once I threatened a sexual harassment suit. I would never deal with this company again. read more

Our AC went out on a Saturday night and I wasn't able to call anyone until Monday morning. I called around and Duane was able to get a technician out that afternoon. Matt was great at transferring the information and Duane text me with an estimate. Unfortunately our unit needed to be replaced due to it being completely corroded. It was a pretty old unit and they switched us over to a newer unit and had to change the inside of our coil up in the attic as well. They did have a busy schedule because it was in the middle of summer, they took care of me as quickly as possible. Came out on a Monday morning, the job took about 3 hours and he saved me $700 on the coil from the original quote he gave me. I'll be honest I wasn't happy with the installation date he gave me going a week without AC at 107 degrees didn't sound fun! I had to be understanding and I know he was trying his very best to take care of us, he even tried moving his schedule around to get it completed sooner. Happy I chose them and it was worth the wait Duane and his team were very helpful, knowledgeable, and honest service, I would recommend them to family and friends for sure. Let's see...they were called on Monday, said they would be out on Tuesday, no one showed up by Wednesday, called them again on Wednesday, they finally showed up on Thursday, said that they would have to order a part, and that it would be in on Monday or Tuesday of the following week...well, here it is Wednesday and no phone calls, nobody has shown up - nothing. Can't believe what Dwayne Vardell did to a friend of mine Mom's 82 year old Maxine. respond to a service call for A/C service. Said her A/C and heater was irreparable and wanted to sell her a $6000 new unit she did not have the money for. Checked her credit said he could not sell her one. So he said he could keep it running at 79 deg. he left with out repairing it. So the Unit went down right when it was getting real hot 6/25/16. her grandson called another A/C repairman his stepdad new for second opinion but he was real busy and could not get to it for 2 days but got there and found out it was the run capacitor and fixed it in 10 min. So this old woman had no A/C through 107 deg. heat wave got fixed 6/29/16. Do not use this Business cared about making money off an old Lady than making sure she A/C could work and it does now with a new run capacitor. read more
