These other reviews are a joke, there's a box you have to check if you buy a rental car (the car I'm buying is rental) so if you didn't know it was a formally a rental you weren't paying attention. This is a higher end used car dealer so you get what you pay for. Nothing but positive experiences from this place, defnitely worth stopping in if you are looking for a newer used car. I was looking for a car for my son so I called Scott and the guys at Variety. They didn't have exactly what I was looking for on the lot but Scott assured me that he would find a great car for me in my price range. Despite his assurance, I couldn't help but do endless research on sites like Car Guru and Auto Trader. I even went to other dealerships like Car Max and other large local dealerships. When I told Scott about my search, he told me that he would run a car fax on whatever car I found from whatever source to make sure the car was a good buy for me. In the end, no one could get me what I was looking for in my price range but Scott and the guys at Variety. This is my favorite dealership in town. These people will not make you believe you can get a car so that they can rip you off. If you like blunt honesty this is a place for you. Decided to check this place out on a Sunday after a few recommendations and I am glad we did! We spoke to Patrick who was very thorough and professional, told us everything we needed to know especially where we stood in terms of credit, finances, and if we would even be able to get a car from here. Patrick was extremely reassuring in terms of helping us out when we thought that our search for a car would be put on hold because of credit that wasn't high enough. He even reassured us that we would definitely be able to be helped, which was a great feeling. Patrick even shed some light on how credit works in general which was eye-opening after having been taken for a ride at a previous dealership. I am extremely impressed that we were able to get everything taken care of on a Sunday, which is pretty unheard of! I agree they are truthful and brutally honest, but why would you want to be lied to when such a big decision is involved! Your best bet is to have all options, numbers, etc in front of you then to have anything sugarcoated. Not only did he help us in purchasing the car, he made the entire experience very painless and has been excellent in following up on the whole process. Let me start by saying I hardly ever write reviews. I purchased a car through Variety Auto and the process could not have gone more smoothly. Being a younger female I am very weary of used car dealers, as my previous experience has not been good, many try to take advantage. This place was recommended to me by multiple people (I now know why) so I decided to give them a try. First of all, they do not have ANY junk on their lot. They sell A LOT of cars, and quickly. I was interested in a vehicle that sold before I could look at it. I told Chris what I was looking for and he was able to go to the auction and find 3 different vehicles that met my criteria in my price range and I was able to choose the one I wanted. They gave me the best price around (I know because I have done A LOT of research), and they gave me a very fair amount for my trade in. They even installed a remote start for me for free. This place really makes their money on the VOLUME of cars that they sell, so they do not need to nickel and dime their customers. Variety Auto is right in between where I live and work, so I drive by this place multiple times a day and I can say that they sell tons of cars very quickly, nothing stays on their lot long, and it is very obvious why. A few months after purchasing the car I noticed a couple of rust specs on the tailgate. I brought it back to see if there was anything they could do for me, and they are paying to have it repaired for me. These guys have been a pleasure to deal with, they are not in the business of ripping people off. They are genuinely looking to make customers happy so they keep coming back and refer new customers. I will definitely be back here to purchase my next vehicle and I highly recommend Variety Auto to anyone looking for great customer service and a quality used car at a fair price. read more
