This was my first experience with Toyota service I had mud flaps added to my Tacoma. After finding my way around to dealership with the help of one of the service team I was able of order the flaps. To my surprise they were available in one day. The sales attendant at the parts department was very helpful. He told me if I wanted to have them installed I could make an appointment at the service desk. I went to the service desk and was waited on right away. The service desk person made the appoint and explained the process for entering the building when I arrive for my service. I also received a text messages that comforted my appointment. When I arrived I was greeted immediately by a nice young gentleman who explained the next steps. Shortly service manager Jonathan checked me in, gave me a time estimate, and showed me where the waiting room was. The work was complete quicker than I was told and the check out precess was a breeze. Jonathan showed to my truck and answered several questions I had about future maintenance, I appreciate his attention to detail and felt like he was very knowledgeable about his profession. One other thing I noticed was the tags on my key ring and tag on the mirror were removed, and paper floor matts were gone, that had not been the case at other dealership I have dealt with in the past. Received an unsolicited text message from Tyler Brown asking if he could text me, even though he just did without asking me. Before I could even finish reading it, he calls me. I send it to voicemail and get a recorded message saying something about calling back for assistance. I've never contacted them, reached out to them, or had any dealings with them; heck, I live an hour away. So they literally have no reason to be contacting me. The only reason they could possibly be contacting me is that my car loan, which I got from another dealership, was originally set to end this month, although I paid it off 2 years earlier. I appreciate how they send you a video of the work they do on your car and provide you with ample refreshments while you wait. Yes, the waits can be long depending on the service you get and the fact that they have a lot of customers. But their seats are comfortable, and there's free WiFi along with a fancy coffee / espresso machine. Additionally, they're likely 5 instead of 4 stars in my eyes because they give you chick-fil-a while you wait! How generous of them! You just tell them you'd like the service, a designated chick fil a worker takes your order from a preset list (usually 1 sandwich, fruit parfait, or other food item), and then they come back with your order - sometimes with an additional coupon in the bag!! Sold my girlfriend a hybrid car. Did not repair the things they were supposed to. Her brakes and wheel bearings went bad after a month. She took it back for them to repair it and they tried to talk her into trading it rather than do the repairs. She had to push them really hard to repair it like they should have. I visited Harr Toyota for a routine tire rotation. After inspection, I was advised that my brakes measured 4mm in the front and 2mm in the rear and needed replacement, along with differential and transfer case fluid services. The total estimate was over $2,000. I had completed the differential and transfer case services at another Toyota dealership about six months ago. They were initially unable to locate the record. I later returned to that same dealership, where they confirmed the services had already been performed and measured my brake pads at approximately 6mm. An independent service shop also inspected the brakes and confirmed they are still in good condition. Additionally, the visit took significantly longer than expected for routine service. Based on these differing assessments and my overall experience, I would recommend getting a second opinion before approving major repairs. Bad customer service when it comes to the service area. First off, they should greet customers as soon as they pull in the garage area. I had to ask someone for direction since no one guided me. After 9 mins after sitting in my car, someone came out to speak to me. In the end, I ended up leaving with malfunction lights on my dashboard and they were not on when I had my car in to have my transmission checked. I scheduled an appointment at Harr Toyota for June 11, 2025, to purchase a 2019 Toyota RAV4 XLE that was advertised online as Toyota Gold Certified with a clean vehicle history. I did my research, confirmed details ahead of time, and came with cash in hand, fully prepared to buy the car. When I arrived, I was assisted by a salesperson named Nana, who immediately told me the SUV had a severe mold problem. He showed me pictures of the vehicle completely dismantled from the inside and said it wouldn't be ready until July. I asked to see the car myself and was shocked to find it stripped and clearly not drivable. None of this was disclosed beforehand. To add to the confusion, Nana then said that because of the year, the SUV was actually Silver Certified, not Gold -- even though it was advertised as Gold Certified. Between the false certification, the undisclosed damage, and the car being in unusable condition, I felt completely misled. After all that, I was still questioned about why I wanted the vehicle -- despite having done my homework, scheduled an appointment, and arrived ready to buy. This experience felt like a bait-and-switch, and a complete waste of my time. I left disappointed and frustrated. I went to Harr the other day for routine oil change and tire rotation on my wife's 21 highlander we bought there 15 months ago. I was quoted $84 for oil change and I believe $40 the rotation. I had a coupon for Herb Chambers Toyota in Auburn for a $60 oil change and asked if they would honor it. I was immediately told No and was advised they send out $60 coupons as well that offer rotation and oil, and I was showed one a Customer used that morning. I asked if they could use that code and was told by the service manager at the desk there was no way to override the price period. I told them if they could not at least offer the oil change at $60, I would drive the 10 minutes to Auburn to save the $25. I was told they couldn't help at all with the pricing. I thanked them for their time and requested my wife's car back. I drove to Herb Chambers where I was treated great. I was directed to a service office and waited for 2 min. During this time, I viewed a service plan that covered 5 complete services including oil change, tire rotation, all fluids and systems check for $350. My service person came into his office, and I had him explain the plan. He said it was great plan to save money on each service, also noting there were no state taxes applicable either, because I was purchasing a plan rather than a regular service. After some quick thought, I purchased the plan which can be used at any Toyota dealership. Service took about 90 minutes, and I left a happy man. Now, if Harr had offered me this same plan as an alternative to their regular pricing. I probably would have bought it there. instead I left frustrated. $124 at Harr and $70 at Herb. Make sure you look at your service options before accepting Harr pricing, because they certainly are going to tell you all of them. read more

im a young woman who has been taken advantage of by this car dealership. i went in one day looking for a car, not even expecting to find something i liked. I found a nice, used 2019 toyota camry. i unfortunately had to wait for a part to come in, in order to have my car (not their fault). when my car was dropped off, i realized that i had no key fob. i called, told them i didnt have one, so they then told me to get one and i could send them the bill. however, i do think they should've just had one made for me before even dropping off the car... i pay all this money just to do everything myself? when i bought my car, it had 63,987 miles on it. it gets dropped off and all of a sudden has 64,200? where were these people driving my car? i let that slide. All of a sudden, after about a month of having my car, i get a notice in the mail from the RI dmv telling me that my car is suspended because they never got an inspection certificate! This dealership needs to do a better job at helping the people whom they're getting their money from. This is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting that they take advantage of people, specifically young girls who are just trying to get their firsts in life. Do not engage with this Dealer at all! I was in the market for a used car for my 16 year old daughter and thought I found an excellent car at a decent price at this Dealership. They refused to negotiate on price even when I shared with them legitimate paperwork that the car (exact VIN number) wasn't worth what they were trying to sell it for. And, I was referencing the dealer price not trade in price as they kept trying to tell me. They also put the car up for sale before putting it through Service. During the test drive I could tell the brakes needed to be replaced. When I asked them to do that as part of the negotation, they said they would only if they didn't meet the requirements to pass inspection. Well, guess what? They didn't! And the car needed a number of other work done to pass inspection including a serious recall from Honda. When I pressed on it, they kept saying they were putting out $2k in repairs that they didn't have to and I should be grateful they did. Bottom line, they made me feel like they were doing ME a favor by considering to sell me car. Lastly, when I didn't think their customer service could get any worse, I was just contacted by someone named Maggie Churchill saying she was following up because Harr hadn't hear from me since this past Saturday. When I explained to "her" what happened, "she" was very accommodating and I believed Harr was going to try to turn this around. Well, guess what? When I asked "her" what her role was at Harr, "she" admitted "she" was an AI assistant! Unbelievable! It took me questioning who "she" was for them to divulge that "she" was an AI assistant. I had to tell them a combined 6-7 times I wasn't going to buy anything that day. I thought "No" was generally a pretty universal and well understood term but they kept hounding me about financing and buying today etc. Also heard the salesman who I thought I connected well with saying "such a waste of time" to the manager as they were approaching me. I will duplicate my google review for extra impact :) Body Shop ( like everyone else ) seems to have a lack of resources, we get it - but, it's not an excuse. 3 days of calls, no one answers. Reached out to the GM of Harr - no reply whatsoever. Asked for help on bringing the car in and getting things set up in advance, including a rental car. They only have 4 kinds of rental cars, no matter that you have a luxury Toyota - they don't have a loaner for you. They don't care, I get it, it's a first world issue. Is there anyone who handles the process of dropping it off and getting a loaner car etc. ? No idea. No one replies or knows. And when I asked the rental car manager - he told me he doesn't know what's happening in the body shop, they're all separate businesses and don't communicate - Oh, is that right? This tells you how badly managed and run HARR is. Why use them for this ? I can't think of a reason. I wasted 3 days on phone calls, emails and web tools, wasted. It gets worse ( or better if you like this sort of thing ) - I received a call from the body shop, after I had to email the GM ( Marty ) to get help and left a voice mail ( which I hate doing ) - they called back, I stopped over, they documented the car with pics and all and told me they could get me in that week ( last week) - and then I was expecting a call, this was looking better! Service department sold me defective tires, bald after 10k miles. I went into the service department 5 weeks after the initial tires mounted explained the car was hydroplaning and it wasn't safe. The service rep gave me a hard time for waiting 5 weeks to express my concern. Went back after 3 months, tires were bald. Bought a car a year ago from there and the buying experience was fine. Decent price and the sales staff was nice. However I did request they fix the brakes on the car as they seemed old and squeaky. They said they would look into it. Fast forward a year and my brakes and rotors need to be replaced. They claim they were fine when it was sold, I disagree. Since they said they would take care of the brakes and did not I find them to be untrustworthy and will no longer do business with them. As for the sevice team their prices and work seems pretty good I have no issue there. You can probably do better but if you find a deal here make sure you double check the car and their word. They installed two rotational tires backwards and nicked the bead wall on a third. Causing the tire to have a slow leak that over time got worse until it was ruined. The tires were discontinued and I have an all wheel drive car so I now need 4 new tires and have had to get a rental. I'm out over 1000 dollars and they offered me 95 dollar check mailed to me for the two installs they messed up and wouldn't accept responsibility for nicking the bead wall on the third. Gave us an interest rate and when we went to sign the paperwork was different from the day before. Nasty and rude, beware of their Toyota internet parts sales thru Amazon!! Ordered 4ea 85213-YZZC2-TM wiper blade refills that they showed as (in stock) They charged my credit card on the spot and after a couple days I got a email stating they only had 3ea, do you want those, I said they wear out in pairs and you replace in pairs and I don't need a stray single blade, so just send 2ea and adjust the charges. So a while later another email, they say they can't figure out how to do that or they can't do it. Then another email telling me to cancel the order because they can't figure out how to cancel on their end, I looked and that option had come and gone. I know what they were wanting, they didn't want to cancel on their end as it would have dinged their sellers rating. They could have just cancelled easily had they known what they were doing and chosen technical difficulties as a reason but they would not do that. So I cancelled, basically being forced to by no fault of my own, these guys shouldn't be trying to sell product they don't have on hand. So I reordered just two refills and thought that was the end of the pain in my neck. Oh they did figure out how to put cancelled by customer but just got really duhh when it was a seller issue and should have reflected that. So what do these morons do without asking me first, they remove these delicate blades from the oem Toyota protective packaging which by the way will hang on a hook as well, it's called duel packaging and this moron rolls them up and shoves them in an envelope like a roll of cord, gee I wonder why Toyota ships them in a plastic hanging sleeve instead of in a parts bag- there's a reason you guys. The parts moron tells me they all come loose and the package is to hang them on a hook, not protect them like I said, so he contradicted himself right off the bat. I'm out the money for these parts and I'm not wasting another penny on these clowns sending them back, this is all on you Harr Toyota and you should make this right, I won't put this crap on a customers vehicle. My credentials: 40 year ASE Master certified tech in all categories, inc light duty and heavy duty trucks as well as as transport refrigeration- from another entity. I had a 20000 maintenance done the 13th at 3:30 and when I went in the service associate said she would check the contract information and went on to say that I was eligible for the free oil change and tire rotation along with certain checks. she added that Toyota recommends a wheel alignment and it was $ 139.99. This is the second time she has asked me this, the previous time was when I went in for my 15K service. I checked the service manual it does not in any way recommends this service and so I declined the service. now the dissatisfaction was with regard to this https://www.snapcell.co/cr87s. they reported that my cabin filter on the Rav 4 was dirty and there was a mouse nest built up in there And it plus cost 191.99 to clean the cabin filter blower and replace it. I declined the service and brought it to my original dealership and they found that there a filter which was as specified as dirty but there was no mouse nest or residues of any sort. I warn everyone to beware of such up selling tactics. The filter cost me on $ 39.99 but it looks like the service at Harr was not truthful. this is not the first time I have been disappointed with Harr more than once but I went back to them only because what they have to perform is within the contract of two years service with no extra charge. This is based on buying a vehicle only. It is brand new so we haven't had any service yet. First, the place was packed on a Saturday in the summer so I think that says a lot. Secondly, we were greeted immediately by John Petracone. He was personable and super easy to work with. We found the exact highlander we wanted. My son and I waited while my husband Jason test drive the car. We were offered beverages, popcorn and even asked if we wanted lunch from Chick-fil-a. That's a plus for a mom. We were out with our new car within 2-2 1/2 hours. A lot less time than the 4 hours it took at another dealership last time. Danielle the finance manager was awesome as well. We spoke about the option of leasing next time something we would look into next time after speaking with her. We don't put a ton a miles on our car so it would be worth looking into. Without sounding derogatory towards car salesmen, no one there was pushy or what you think of as a "used car salesman". All very genuine and friendly. My experience at Harr Toyota was ABYSMAL. I originally went to Harr to get my car serviced, but it was too far gone and they offered me $1,000 trade in credit towards a new car. I went in person and met with Wilson. I brought my friend along with me as I am a young college aged girl, and I did not want to get swindled by used car salesmen. Wilson continuously pushed me to finance my new car even though I made it clear I was not interested in doing that. He was very condescending and at one point asked me, "Have your parents talked to you about how important credit is?". I am not an idiot so I actually do indeed understand the importance of credit - financing was just not what I wanted at that point in time. We finally found a car that was agreeable for me and we decided to take it on a test drive. Wilson continued to talk down to me and mansplain how to slow down while taking an exit. The car was nice, so I decided it was a good choice for my needs. After I left that day, I was a bit peeved with how I was treated, but excited about my new car. However, in the following days, Wilson was not responsive at all and would take a very long time to answer calls and texts (if he even responded at all). After a couple of bumps with paperwork, I was waiting for Wilson to tell me I could pick up the car. When I went to pick up the car, he casually dropped that the lock/unlock buttons didn't work on the keys, so I had to use a fob instead for that function. I wished he had disclosed this earlier, but at this point I just wanted to leave with the car. I drove the new car back to my apartment (literally less than 3 miles away), and then started a drive up to Maine. Not even 20 miles from my apartment, 2 engine lights lit up on the dash. I obviously brought it back to the service center (since the car had been in my possession for less than 2 hours at this point), and when I explained the situation to the tech he said, "You just bought this car here today? Ha, that's kinda funny!". I didn't find it amusing. They put me in a loaner, but made it seem like it was a favor to me. I was not about to thank them for selling me a faulty car and providing me a car so I could actually drive home for the long weekend. The loaner was fine, however, someone from the service center called me a couple of days later and said I owed a $165 diagnostic fee, and $4,000 for gaskets that were broken. I was fed up this point because this man was demanding payment from me and I was trying to explain that I had literally just bought this car and I wasn't going to pay for these repairs. I again explained that I had only owned the car for 2 hours, and he said that was a problem for sales and not his problem. The sales team had stressed that they talked to the service team and got the go ahead to sell the car to me. They then offered to pay for the repairs, but I just didn't trust them anymore and wanted a refund. I got the money back and I thought that would be the end of it. However, over a month after this whole ordeal I got a text from them reading, "The Acura we took back has title switched to your name. We need you to physically sign a green form for us so we can apply for a new one in our name. This is pretty urgent. Are you able to come back today quick or tomorrow?". I responded asking if they could mail it to me since I was not about to inconvenience myself for their mistake. Instead of being polite, as per usual they were patronizing and said "No we need it asap". I assume they were trying to resell the car and just found this error, but I had finished my communications with them a month ago and considering how they treated me the whole time, I was not going to change my busy schedule for them. They ended up sending a runner to deliver it to me, but their continuous incompetence was outrageous. I felt like they disrespected and talked down to me because I was a young woman, and the communication within the dealership was lacking as well. If I could return this car I would. Instead, I'll be stuck making monthly payments on a 2016 vehicle that was sold to me after the first car they sold to me broke down in the first month. These people scam you into purchasing a car that will break down - I have recorded verbal admittance to this dealership preying on lower income households with bad credit to sell "cheap" cars that they know how issues (they noticed issues in my car, but didn't say anything until I found them).
