Serious safety issue - my mom was wrongfully towed during a class I'm writing as a concerned daughter, not just a reviewer. My mom is a paying member at this VASA location. While she was inside a scheduled yoga class, her car was wrongfully towed from the parking lot. She came out of class genuinely believing her car had been stolen. No call. No page that reached her class. No warning. She was effectively stranded. After a long and upsetting interaction with management, it was admitted that: * The tow was requested by the gym * The wrong car was towed * The car that actually caused the issue was not towed * Management initially denied involvement and blamed the towing company * My mom was forced to pay $309 to retrieve her vehicle This isn't just an inconvenience - it's a safety issue. You cannot tow a member's car without proper verification, clear communication, or accountability, especially when that person is actively inside your facility and unreachable by design. The parking lot is poorly marked, lacks clear lines, and appears to be a known issue - yet members are punished for it. The handling afterward was defensive, misleading, and unacceptable. As others have noted, cancellation fees and policies are changed at the will of VASA often resulting in increased fees, etc. There is tremendous pressure to sign up for personal training. They don't explain the auto renew or the cancellation policy when you do sign up - you only have 3 days to cancel. I was promised work with a specific personal trainer. Alex is BY FAR the worst staff member at any gym I have ever attended. She initially tried to befriend me, but after she failed to follow through with her words on a personal matter, I set strong boundaries & let her know I wasn't interested in befriending her. She IMMEDIATELY grew resentment for me, in fact right when she turned around had their not bet one of the trainers to "catch" her emotionally, I'm pretty sure she would've completely flipped her lid. I ran into a guy at King Soopers who recognized from this "gym" from the dancing / positivity energy I always put out. Went to cancel my gym membership and they are requiring I pay a $50 annual gym fee to cancel even though I will not be a member of the gym for the entire year. Place is very crowded as well. 5am and still need to wait just about any machine, bench, weights and everything in between. Been coming here for a few weeks. As far as gyms go they have a little bit of everything that makes a good gym. That being said the men's locker room consistently seems dirty and always smells awful. I pay for a premium membership to have access to things other than just gym equipment. The thing that really bothers me is that I haven't dealt with at any other gym is that there are no scanners for access to things like pool area and basketball court. Pretty sick of waiting in line to use the sauna and it seems every time I go to the basketball court there is 20 to 30 people in there running full court games. I've been really disappointed with this gym. Way too many things are broken and stay that way for weeks, sometimes months. There's not enough equipment to begin with, so when multiple machines are down it makes working out even harder. Every time you ask about when things will be fixed, there's always an excuse but never any real action. Run now..and do not sign up with Vasa Fitness and if you do, make sure you do not sign up for Personal Training. I called over 1 month prior to let them know I did not want to renew after the 3 month Personal training contract was over. They renewed it anyways for another 3 months and now my balance is growing. If you have a membership and owe money you cannot cancel the regular membership until your balance is paid. So that means your balance owed plus your monthly membership until whenever and trust me you are stuck for a while. The regular membership contract says you can cancel at anytime. Nowhere does it say, you cannot cancel if you owe a balance. They will trick you. Also, I never received not even 1 day of the Personal Training during those 3 months of the first Personal Trainng contract. The good: the classes are good, and the coaches are well-trained and interactive--the bad: everything else. First, the parking lot is shady af. I would never leave anything in my car, and when walking back and forth to it, I was always on guard. Currently, the locker room and the women's bathrooms are closed. So, there's no place to change or keep stuff. When I inquired, I was told I had been sent an email. I have not received any email other than my contract. They told me to go to Littleton, "it's not that far." I live in north Denver, and I'm not going to drive 45 minutes for an average workout. The gym is a literal mess: equipment everywhere, broken equipment. No one respects the space. I tried to like it. It's a good deal for the classes, but I felt disrespected by the staff, and the gym is just kinda gross, and the legit parking lot is not safe. I was a member for less than 6 months, so I paid $45 in cancellation fees and had to pay for another 30 days, which I won't use. That sucks, but my health, safety, and dignity are worth more than the $72.98 I just put on my credit card. Do a trial and make sure you can handle the parking lot and the chaos before you join. I was very hesitant to join based off reviews but this location is not bad at all. It's full of equipment that USUALLY works. There's always at least one treadmill, stair master, elliptical under maintenance, but it is totally worth the 10$ membership. It has varied in crowds from people everywhere to a sparse amount in the mornings which is nice. Get a great workout quickly and enjoy a venue with fans that run. People seem to be enjoying this location when you actually go inside, but the online reviews trash it. I don't know if they've renovated or something, but there's always cleaner and the bathrooms are clean so that oddly is above most cheaper gyms standards in denver. overall, it's worth it. read more

VASA Fitness as a whole is frustrating and very difficult to work with. I was pressured after my free trainer consultation to sign a contract I didn't have time to read completely and thoroughly. I was never given a written copy to read on my own before I sighed it. After sighing I was emailed the contract. I am now stuck with being charged $140 bi-weekly on top of a $17.99 monthly change and a "rate guarantee fee" of $49.99. They make it nearly impossible to cancel the membership, like paying another $25 to cancel. I am not able to cancel online, the restricted my access and I can only speak to them during business hours 7am - 7pm M-F. They are UNWORTHY of having even a single star. read more

Her energy is contagious and she is extremely talented in her dance instruction. Claudia also teaches a great Body Pump class, at Denver and Littleton Co And is extremely skilled and knowledgeable which is displayed in her classes, she is also Bilinguel. PROS Friendly staff, clean facility, and good variety of machines, weights, etc. CONS It's by far the most crowded of the three I visit, the sauna is nowhere near hot enough, the tanning beds are routinely not working, and the parking lot is a little sketchy given that there have been several car burglaries over the years. read more

VASA Fitness is a fantastic gym with locations all around the Denver area. I stopped by their Jewell and Sheridan location recently to give it a try, and it was amazing. Their selection of equipment is extremely vast, they have every type of weight machine, elliptical machine, treadmill, you name it, they have it!! I went at 6pm on a Wednesday and it was fairly busy, but everyone was respecting social distancing and wearing a mask, so that's a bonus. They also have a pool, jacuzzi and steam room, absolutely love that! Can't beat diving in a cool pool after destroying yourself on a treadmill. As I entered this place Josy gave me a tour of the gym and explained everything to me, and also answered all the questions I had, she was amazing! Overall I had a blast at VASA fitness, I recommend checking out this gym if you're looking for a new place to workout and call home! read more

For myself, I have chronic back pain and tension which my trainer alleviates with a theragun. Something Vasa on their own will never have available for trainers or clients. This treatment allows me to advance in my program without spasms, seizing up, and potentially causing serious injury. trying to cancel my membership and Vasa very intentionally makes it impossible to do so. This is illegal, actually. On the app you are asked to enter your membership number or barcode number. Both of those can be found in another place on the app, but you cannot take a screenshot of them to remember the very arbitrary numbers, nor even when you write them down and enter them in does it allow you to cancel! When you put in your barcode or membership number it then says that it cannot process it and you need to call a phone number. when you call that number a recorded message says to leave a voicemail and they will get back to you within 48 hours. We are currently on day five of them not getting back to me. This is intentional. There is no question about it. They are doing this on purpose. And, as I said - this is illegal. read more

Been going here as a guest. Something about this location needs a lot of work. It has all of the gym essentials from free weights, to assisted machines, cardio, bball court, racquet ball court, etc. My gripe compared to other VASA location is that they dont clean up their facility and especially during peak hours. The men's bathroom has water everywhere, even in the floors in the stalls. Couldn't tell if it was swimming pool water, someone excessive sweat, or just someone that took a leak all over the floor. Simply gross. The musk is gross and they should have air freshener or renovate to have a vent. The free weight area also had a musky smell and i felt the humidity of lingering sweat on my arms from others. If they hired on more staff to clean, that would definitely up the review. Parking is tough too during the evening weekday workout. Folks park right on the side of the building and cant tell if it's illegal as there are signs for fire lane. It would be good if they removed the signs or enforce the parking. Overall, will continue to go as I'm desperate after work sometimes, but please...clean up and shine like the fun VASA energetic gym being advertised. read more

The person harassed me to sign up for a free trial until the point where I gave him my credit card and he just came back with it. After forcing me onto a free trial, they wouldn't cancel it, and eventually simply sent a debt collector for money that I don't owe, because I never actually used their gym. Want to make it right? I have personally never had a problem with VASA. I come in to the gym and no body bothers me. As someone who was previously a member of 24 hours fitness, I have to say VASA is a 180 shift from 24 hour fitness. It's a lot cleaner, lots of good equipment and rarely are there broken machines. The only issue I have is that the dumbbell racks are sometimes disorganized, lots of people come to this gym and also sometimes the bathrooms are dirty, but other than that, it's a good gym, and im only paying 9.99 a month.
