Value added as he will pull out a large white board and not only explain BUT instruct & kindly dialogue alongside you, teaching you what, why AND how veins work and function. And then what your situation is. Then he goes over it again until, and only until you understand. Who does this? Wow. This approach really put me at ease. For this alone, that he would care to teach not cover the material, I will pass his name along to all who care to listen. He spent an 1.5 hours with me. His Doppler tech from RI was quick, amazing, also engaging in conversation & super efficient. I walked away buoyant, no longer scared, but with a plan. And one more thing, truly grateful for the privilege to learn from this man, Dr. Duffy, as a fellow teacher that taking the time sometimes, really matters in a life. Sometimes people of his caliber are the game changers. Consider the game, changed. I talked with the staff. They assured me, with a smile, he speaks with all new patients at this length. He really wants his patients to walk away, informed and confident of the information and choices they will need to abide by so they can keep walking in freedom. What a tremendous resource. You're welcome!

I am deeply disappointed by the level of care and communication my mother received…read more She developed a severe, itchy allergic reaction following a procedure and called the office for four consecutive days before our vacation to express her concerns. She was advised to use a spray, and the office declined her offer to send photos to help assess the situation. While we were away, she called two more days in a row and was told she would receive a callback, but no one ever contacted her. Her condition continued to worsen, and she ultimately had to go to the emergency room, where she received EpiPens because she was nearing anaphylactic shock. She has bumps, welts and rashes from her head down. Afterward, she contacted the office to schedule a follow-up appointment to have the vein treated, as she appears to be allergic to the adhesive used during the procedure. She requested an appointment for Friday when we return from vacation, she offered to switch to an earlier flight, and was simply told that the doctor leaves early, with no attempt to offer an alternative solution or accommodate her situation. I understand that allergic reactions can be rare and unpredictable. However, what is difficult to accept is the lack of urgency, compassion, and follow-through shown throughout this experience. Watching my mother repeatedly advocate for herself while feeling dismissed has been painful. Especially now that we've resulted to being in the E.R. when this could've been treated before we'd left and she'd be in less pain. Patients deserve to feel heard, especially when they are experiencing a potentially life-threatening reaction.

I found Dr. Odetunde online and called for an appointment. The secretary wasn't the friendliest, but she was still definitely nice. To my surprise, Dr. Odetunde was available for basically any time slot I wanted. At first, this worried me a little bit. After all, shouldn't a good doctor have a lot of other patients to see? I chalked it up as luck and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. The office is located right off of 610, just west of the Bennigan's and Ford dealership (right around Fannin I think?), in one of those huge office buildings. I didn't wait long at all, and Dr. Odetunde ended up being one of the nicest doctors I've ever met. She immediately figured out my problem (spasms) and sent me off with a couple of prescriptions and an x-ray order. After this visit, I saw her again for some sleeping problems and some injuries I got in a car accident. She remembers her patients and is very knowledgeable. I recommend her to anyone :) Now that I'm living in Ft. Worth, I miss having her as my doctor, even though I only saw her for a couple of months!
