The food is always good and the portions ample. They have great desserts as well. My biggest issue with this restaurant is the condition of the dining/eating area. The tables are sticky, they are unlevel, the booths are ripped, and there is one table underneath an air-conditioning unit on the ceiling that is dripped on from the unit. Support small business? Order a pizza today. it was "fine" what was not fine was the Customer Service!! There is no shortage of small locally owned Italian restaurants and pizzerias in our area. Some that are closed for reasons probably similar to the poor experience we had today at Vasillios . When calling to place the order we asked if accommodations could be made for omitting a topping or adding a topping and the answer was no. Asked to speak to a chef or somebody other than a customer service representative answering the phone and could hear in the background just saying no we don't want to we don't have the time. Just tell them it's not gonna taste different with or without it!! What!! so again asked you have the ingredient but you will not put it on the pizza for additional cost ... "that's correct ma'am we don't want to just put it on your pizza for any cost. Order what we have or don't. " OK don't worry in the future we won't. Places like a Belleria, Red Plum , Sunrise, Cafe 422 consistently have good customer service. We will frequent businesses with places that value their customers. read more

A return to one of my favorite restaurants in the Warren area, Vasilio's, was very disappointing. Tables were dirty and sticky, benches were torn, crumbs all over several. Deep dish pizza, deluxe, tasted like it had not been made fresh and was so hard that a steak knife could not cut through the crust. It was basically inedible. I won't be back. read more

This might be my new favorite pizza. Not my usual spot but I have heard so many great things about this place that I talked everyone into giving it a try. We order the pasta trio with Alfredo, chicken parm and angel hair spaghetti it was delicious. Portions are huge and fresh warm bread is always a plus when eating pasta. This is a smaller size restaurant so we came later in dinner hour. The food was good and reasonably priced. Was not impressed with our Waitress at all. I asked for Blue Cheese on my salad and she actually snapped at me like I should have known they didn't have any. Towards the end she threw our check on the table with "No rush you can pay at the counter". Did not inquire if we needed anything else or want dessert. So I started watching and she treated all her tables like this. Meantime the other Waitress is asking everyone finishing up if they would like coffee or any dessert. By far the best pasta and pizza in the area. They are a family owned business (you'll often see the owner, his wife, and kids manning the register and slingin' pies). What a disappointment after reading the reviews, inexpensive sure but fruit flies were so bad they kept landing on our food. Peppers in oil were so salty they were practically inedible. Stale store bought Italian bread. Chicken over greens had no taste, the clams in white linguini sauce was loaded with canned black olives (I have never seen that before!) and had no flavor. Said they close at 9 pm but there was my table and another table were the only ones there and at 7:45 they started vacuuming the dining area. Then as we were leaving we had to roll stand out of the pathway to even get to the register to pay. Lots of fantastic Italian places in the area, avoid this one. read more

If I could have given zero stars, that would have been more accurate. I ordered 2 fish sandwiches and a hot sausage sandwich...all 3 for carry out. I have no idea how the hot sausage sandwich was, the the 2 fish sandwiches were by far the absolute worse that I have ever gotten. They were burned, rubbery and nasty tasting. All went straight to the trash can. I had eaten here once before and was less than pleased with my meal, but thought I'd give them another try. Nope. Nada. Never ever again! Interesting, as this was my first experience with Vasilio AND using Doordash. As such, I cant speak to the restaurant proper, i.e., the dining room, service, etc. But the food? Wow...pleasantly surprised. The wife and I ordered tortellini and it was a very fair portion, arrived hot just as if I was dining in (perhaps a shout out to the Doordash model addtionally). I will say this, and I'm an Italian guy who is sometimes hard on Italian joints, but I'll say this- best meatballs I've ever had in any local Italian restaurant. Kudos. I'll definitely mak it a point to head out to the restaurant itself, as the on line menu seemed quite extensive with plenty of choices. 2 Thumbs up!!! read more

There is no other pizza place for our family when we come to town! We moved away to Cincinnati 8 years ago, and this is our first stop the minute we hit town! Vasilio Restaurant is a local small town restaurant. Though we've driven by the restaurant many times, we've only recently visited there for the first time after a visit to Mosquito Lake. The best part of the visit was the small town atmosphere and friendly service. I ordered the recommended Cavatelli Vasibello with shrimp, chicken, mushrooms, and Alfredo sauce. The dish was ok, but the sauce was not to my liking. Even so, the dish was eatable and there were many other selections that I would come back to try including their spaghetti sauce and pizzas, which were also recommended. All in all, a small town local restaurant that's been here for 31 years so they must be doing something right, so you just have to find what you like. read more

My husband and I went to dinner early with our grand daughters. We all ordered and our food came out together. Mine was wrong so the waitress took it back. By the time I received it back, everyone was eating. I ended up being frustrated so I just got mine to go. My husband got the broiled fish which he said was good. The girls got ravioli & spaghetti w/ meatball. The sauce was better than the average restaurant sauce. Meatballs were large in size but hard. Was staying in the area for 3 weeks and wish I would have discovered this place sooner! Yeah it's 3 stars...but it's better than anything else around here. We came here every day during our last week for lunch and had a wide variety of things. Not a fan of the pizza, and unfortunately one of the desserts we tried had mold on it when it came out. Vasilios has great food and great prices. One portion is enough for 2 meals. Never had a bad meal.

Ordered take out. We order peppers and oil, fried greens, wedding soup, and chicken parm. When we arrived to pick up, the young lady at the registered literally threw the credit card slip and pen down in front of me with no greeting or salutations (whatever, I'll get over that). The chicken in the chicken parm was a frozen chicken patty (it was eaten by a 7 year old, so she didn't mind that). The wedding soup didn't have a single meatball in it, mostly a cup of broth with greens and celery in it. The greens and peppers were delicious. We chose this for dinner because of the reasonable prices. We live minutes away from Sunrise and Enzo's but decided to drive out to Cortland to give the place a try. We absolutely love this restaurant and go out of our way to eat there. The wait staff is always pleasant prompt and very attentive. Our regular waitress Victoria, is one of the best waitresses we've ever had anywhere. The chef is very consistent with his food and will go out of his way to meet your needs for special orders. The food is always hot and consistently delicious. The restaurant is clean the bathrooms are clean the wait staff is very neat with hair pulled up and are professional in every manor. The prices are very very reasonable, and the portions are generous. You will not leave hungry. And you will not leave unsatisfied. I've been to a lot of restaurants in the Warren, Niles area. And by far this is the best restaurant in the area ,considering price, quality. cleanliness, this restaurant has everything beat by a mile. There really isn't that many things on the menu over $10.00 dollars. We've been to other restaurants that have the linguini with red clam sauce and paid $14.00. The portions are larger and tasted even better..... Definitely worth your time to go and try this restaurant I give 5 stars I really just cannot say enough good stuff about this place and I am generally very critical as far as restaurants go.
