My wife has shopped at Vasquez Jewelers for many years. Their service is excellent and Fernando is a knowledgeable and expert jeweler. His wife, Terry, is friendly and very helpful. After 25 years of marriage, I purchased her a diamond ring with a setting that Fernando designed. She has received numerous compliments on the setting and the stunning diamond. We were out this afternoon for an early dinner and stopped in before, as their shop in near the restaurant. It turns out my wife just wanted to say hello and in the process asked about a chain necklace for a family heirloom pendant. Long, long story short, my wife noticed something in the case that she liked. She purchased the small eye charm from the case and Fernando attached it to her wrist hoop that she was wearing. It took few minutes but she was satisfied. We went to dinner a few doors away and while were there she noticed something about the hoop. She walked back to the shop and came back without it. She left it there for him to correct an imperfection. About 15 minutes later Terry delivered the hoop back to us at our table in the restaurant. It was a minor gesture for her to bring it to my wife but this is the kind of customer service one receives from a small business.... a small business that is a jewel in our community. read more

Came here again, this time to sell scrap gold. The jeweler took his time to look at my bag of old jewelry and separated the 14k gold from the sterling and the costume jewelry. Went today from Freeport to get two watch batteries replaced. Luis changed one right away and told me that the other did not need a battery at all that he said it was an automatic and after looking at it for a couple of minutes it was working fine and he set the time and date for me FREE of charge. Recently took a wedding ring in to have a lost diamond replaced. Jeweler suggested that all settings be cleaned and the prongs tightened. Got a $ estimate as well as a time estimate. All work was done on time and within the estimate. The ring looked brand new. Workmanship appears excellent and time will tell.
