Since day 1 that I got here to austin that was 1st mexican restaurant I ate and a yr after os still the best.. Always wonderful, every time. My favorite part is the atmosphere here. Reminds me of home. The mariachi, roses, cake, on mothers day. And now fathers day, didn't let me down. My favorite Mexican place in Austin. I have been to the Lake Creek and Burnet locations and they are both awesome! They are perfect dive places with amazing food. They give you your own salsa dispenser at the table so you don't have to wait around for someone to bring you more. It's cheap food, great food and hardly anyone knows about it. What more could I want? Their Ricky's Plate with potatoes and rice instead of beans and rice is my absolute favorite Mexican dish in all of Austin and that's saying something. read more

Went to the Braker Lane location for dinner tonight. The best crispy tacos I've had in a long time. Steak fajita nachos were really really good too. The interior & decor were bare bones, but that's ok...the waitress was very nice, quick, attentive and the food was out in a flash. DEFINITELY worth going back again. read more

Great, legitimate Mexican food. Try the fajita omelet or chilaquiles for breakfast. The rice and beans are very tasty. I've been a regular at this little Mexican food joint for almost a year now. There's so much to love about it. First, the food is great. They make the best version of my signature breakfast taco I've ever had- beans, bacon, and potatoes on corn tortillas. The beef chalupa plate lunch special is another favorite of mine. The owner George and his staff are hands down the friendliest group of people I've ever seen in a restaurant. The place is small- about 11 tables I think- but they always have more than enough wait staff to cover a full house. I can't remember ever having to ask for more water or salsa- they're always on the spot with a refill. Best of all they're prices are very cheap- surprisingly so I'd say given the portion sizes. Located in the same shopping center as Alamo Drafthouse in the southeast corner of Lake Creek Parkway and 183. It's on the southern end of the center that faces 183 right by the FedEx Kinko's. If you're coming north up 183, take the 620 exit. read more

Always more busy than the staff can handle. Staff is usually rude and they get our order wrong more often than not. If I have to go orders it takes twice as long for them to have it ready and they end up asking what I ordered multiple times and being flustered. The food is good but it's way too chaotic to enjoy a meal there. read more

thought I would give this place a try one Saturday. It is basically over-priced mediocre Mexican food. Ordered the enchiladas Chile con carde. It consisted of two flavorless ground beef wrapped in corn tortillas with what tasted like Velveeta on top. I smothered it in their store bought hot sauce in hopes of giving the dish some life, didn't help. Chips are standard store bought served cold with a bottle of red sauce served in a syrup bottle. This must be what new York Mexican food tastes like. To many quality Mexican restaurants in the area to go here. read more

Came in for breakfast, late Sunday, and they still had a large crowd, but they helped us out right away and brought out our order quickly. I ordered a chorizo and egg taco and a gordita de chicharron, my husband ordered a bacon and egg and Barbados gordita. The tacos were good, average size but stuffed with eggs, the only thing I wish they had were homemade tortillas that would of made the tacos better. The gorditas were good too, FYI you selected the meat and they add beans and lettuce, so if you don't like beans (like my husband) say no beans. Chicharron is spicy, Barbados is tasty. Overall I'd come back for breakfast. May try them for lunch sometime, did notice they have a large menu! read more

Had breakfast here this morning and got the two egg breakfast with sausage, potatoes, and beans. They brought out a plate that was big enough for two people and it was amazing. Highly recommended! The chips and salsa are very good as well. And the service was perfect! read more

I have no idea why people give this restaurant five stars because this is by far the worst place Ive ever been to. First of all it was a hole in the wall cheap Mexican place but that doesnt matter that much. When the lady took our order, I asked for lemonade and she said they didnt have any when I looked behind her and saw a huge container of freshly brewed lemonade right behind her. Then I had to get Dr Pepper instead. Then after we took our order while I was walking to the bathroom I noticed only 1 girl cooking the food and the only other employee was the other waitress and they were incredibly slow and it was 2 hours before we got our food. When we got our food it was terrible, everything tasted as if it had just come out of a microwave. I had a burrito which had burnt potatoes in it. We got cheese tacos instead and they tasted expired. I didnt bother ordering anything else. Other people didnt like their food either. Not going back ever. read more
