Macho was assited by Haven and Angel who was absolutely phenomenal and gentle, caring and loving to Macho. They insured his weight, vitals check and prepared Macho for Dr. Higgins who is an amazing Veterinarian and always provides excellent service to Macho. I recently moved to Murfreesboro from New York. My dog was limping for two days so I was looking a vet to take her to. I wasn't too high on the mixed reviews but I decided to give this place a shot. So I should preface this review with the statement that I am probably the ideal client/pet guardian for a veterinarian, and a family member who is a veterinary technician agrees with me (but does not work in this practice). I trust the staff with my cat's medical needs but still advocate for them. There are no debates over signing him up for a wellness plan, ensuring he gets all his vaccines on time, is microchipped (with subscription maintained), gets a good diet of wet food and kibble, and the list goes on. Yuki started seeing the vet at VCA Creekside last year a few weeks before we moved out to Rutherford county to start his wellness plan with them and enroll as a patient for the year. Over the year, my wife and I have been pleased with the care he received and I love their head of boarding which has always been very attentive to Yuki's needs and care. Like any animal, he is not a fan of the visits so we have had to rethink how we schedule everything to minimize his stress. But overall the staff is very attentive and helpful. They welcomed Yuki and me with a smile at our first visit and every visit thereafter. While minor I do believe there is still room for improvement as I had to contact corporate when they refused to honor the renewal of Yuki's microchip that was included in his wellness plan. I primarily attribute this to most pet guardians not renewing their wellness plans but it still doesn't excuse the lack of "product knowledge". read more

Dr Au at Blue Pearl in Franklin performed the second surgery and NOW Sunny is fine. I should have just gone to Blue Pearl in the first place. Sat at Animal Medical Center for 2 hours and 45 minutes waiting on a text to bring my baby inside to be treated. I never received that text. NEVER! I called Blue Pearl and they told me call when I arrived, and they would meet me at the car to help me in with my baby. They took her directly back to be looked at. We were put in a room and they brought her in. Our nurse brought us a blanket in the room to lay on because I was laying on the floor with her. Our nurse was sooooo empathetic and loving to us and our dog. The doctor explained her diagnosis and we were out within an hour. So pleasantly please with our visit. read more

My husband and I had to put down our 15+ year old companion Skuttles we had our boy for 15 years we got him when he was around 4 years old he was such an amazing companion he was more that just a dog to us he was part of our family the last few weeks we notice a change in him and the past few days it seemed as he was getting a bit uncomfortable so my husband and I had to make the decision to have him put down but we wanted to take him somewhere that was compassionate and did this with out him suffering and VCA was very compassionate to our wishes and needs and went above and beyond our expectations. If you ever had to make this decision than you know its a hard one to make Skuttles was our 1st baby and we have never had to experience having an animal put down the staff was amazing the Dr. and assistant both walked us through each step of the process so there was no surprises. Could not recommend this Vet more. Michelangelo sees Dr. Higgins and I have never had a dog love their vet as much as mine loves Dr. Higgins. They have a wellness package which can admittedly get a little pricey but with that you get a veterinarian who you can tell loves what he does, is super attentive, will give so many tips and tricks for caring for your pet and will even call you and follow up with you even for the smallest of issues. Plus, Michelangelo literally loves Dr. Higgins so much that once we get to the office he whines until he sees him. read more

This place started off good, the receptionist are rude and dismissive. My bad experience came when I was offered a price for something cheaper and the lady who told me one price it came to be a whole different ball game. I was told I was paying one price that day and what i would be paying a month, turns out she put me in a non cancellation contract that i ended up paying over $100 that visit. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. My 3 year old American Bulldog was not acting right one night and this was the only place close and open. We knew we would be paying emergency prices but that was fine as we were concerned. After tests and X-rays and hours we were told she was constipated and they wanted to keep her overnight. Nope, I am always with her outside so I knew she had been going. Did she have a lot, yes according to the X-ray she did. Fast forward and a week later she is worse and worse. We get her into her vet and she actually has a neck injury. She now has had to have laser treatments and is on 5 different meds and pretty much immobile for at least the next month. The swelling from her neck is applying pressure to her spinal chord. We are being told this can paralyze her and yet this place after all these tests claimed it was constipation. I would not trust a thing they say. read more

As a new customer with VCA Creekside, I have been blown away with how nice, helpful, and respectful everyone there has been with not only myself, but most importantly my dog! My dog is a super anxious nervous guy, but VCA was super accommodating with helping me be able to comfortably take him to the vet without worry! This practice has gone severely downhill since Dr. Kinard sold his practice to VCA. The wait times are ridiculous. The reception VAs are rude. And you can't ever get ahold of the practice manager, Erica, to vocalize any concerns. They can't stand when you get a prescription from an online pharmacy because they're losing the revenue from their own. They don't stock the prevention we use in office so we have to order it online and Kinards pharmacy is more expensive. And getting the prescription filled is regularly an ordeal. Currently my dog 2 weeks overdue on her prevention. They initially rejected it because she was due her heartworm test (so don't fill her flea & heartworm meds in the middle of summer??) but didn't have the courtesy to let us know that's why so we could make an appointment. I have had to mediate between the online pharmacy and the clinic for over a week trying to get this resolved and I feel like a parent telling her kids to cooperate with each other. It has been a massive inconvenience and I would go into the office to complain but it's closed because of COVID-19. We have been bringing our pets here for 10 years and I have referred so many people. I am now at the point that I'm going to take my pet to Vet Associates. We should've followed Dr. Morgan when he left Creekside two years ago. read more
