Kiwi and I have been going to VCA Five Corners for a year and a half now and I can't recommend them enough. Everyone there is fantastic and they've taken extra time to get to know us and to make Kiwi and I comfortable on our visits. Kiwi is still fearful of strangers but Laisha has built a great relationship with her. Through time and patience, Laisha was able to get blood for lab work from Kiwi today with no muss and or fuss. TLDR; They did not properly teach me how to treat my kitten's ear infection, and when I got upset that I had to keep returning and spending hundreds of dollars, they didn't apologize. Instead, the manager was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional and told me (incorrectly) that I shouldn't have received the discounts that they promise through their partnership with Seattle Humane. VCA hospitals are known for being rude and a poor place for treatment, and that was exactly my experience. I adopted a kitten from Seattle Humane, and she had an ear infection. Seattle Humane and VCA Hospitals partner, so that your first examination of an adopted pet is free, and you get $250 toward treating a variety of health issues that they might come with, like an ear infection. During my initial visit, I asked many times for the tech to show me how to apply the ear ointment, but she wouldn't actually show me how much to use (she kept saying "just a squeeze") but she did hold up the tube to show me where to administer it. When I came back 3 weeks later, the kitten still had the ear infection. This time I had a different vet tech who ACTUALLY showed me how to use the ointment and how much to use. I learned that the first person had taught me the WRONG place to add the ointment. She showed me how to massage the ear to make sure the ointment got deep in there, which the initial vet tech taught me incorrectly as well. I also realized I had not been using NEARLY enough in my initial 2 weeks of treatment, since the first vet tech wouldn't show me. I was pretty annoyed at this point, because this poor little kitten had on ongoing ear infection because the first vet tech wouldn't actually show me how to treat it, and what she did tell me was wrong. In addition, now I have to come in for a THIRD appointment and pay ANOTHER $175 for an ear exam and cytology to check if the infection is gone. And I need to pay another $50 for another bottle of ointment. I asked if I could potentially get a discount on that third appointment, since it was their fault for not answering my questions and teaching me how to use the ointment the first time. The manager came out, and, instead of apologizing to me for their neglect, she said she was appalled at how much they had discounted off my initial appointment. I told her I adopted the kitten from Seattle Humane, so the first exam is covered and another $250 toward any health issues. She said, "yeah, but they covered the ear cleaning and they shouldn't have". I said, "I figured they covered it because it was important in helping clear the infection. But even if they hadn't covered that, I am still back here today spending another $175 on the infection. If they didn't cover the cleaning, they would have covered that same amount today anyway, until I hit the $250". She said, "Ugh. Well, I guess we can give you 10% off the exam next time. We've already given you more discounts than we should have". Which is not true at all! I got ONLY the discounts I was promised! If they are going to get this annoyed about giving people their promised discounts, maybe they shouldn't partner with Seattle Humane and offer these discounts in the first place! So I got no apology from the manager, and instead she found something else to be rude to me about that was completely unjustified. I would steer clear of these disrespectful people with unqualified vet techs. I went to a different vet for my third follow up appointment, and they were shocked that VCA didn't send me home with ear cleaning solution and teach me to clean her ears, since that is important for helping clear up infections. read more

This vet no-showed my appointment. I booked online, confirmed via a text prompt the day before, and completed an online questionnaire. I understand that there was confusion because I had made two appointments in a two week time - they were for separate, time sensitive issues. I needed a vet certificate dated within a particular time frame, and then vaccines needed to be given on a set date to be in line with the schedule. This was stated in the appointment notes when I booked them. When I showed up for my appointment the clinic was closed with a sign on the door, but they never contacted me to cancel. So, I had to get time off work and drive my cat out all for nothing. I had to find another vet on short notice, so I won't be coming back. read more

We were charged 237.00 for no answer to our dogs problems and told we must come back and have her sedated for a urine sample (we had supplied 3 previous samples!!)... We were quoted an additional 550.00 dollars for this procedure but not really given a REASON for it. When we arrived (battled traffic for an hour as we do not live here anymore) we were told 800.00 to 1000.00 dollars. No explanation of the increase... good freaking bye to this place. Took my Shiba for her first visit here (annual exam) & it was a great experience. My dog was shaking & nervous when she got there but they have scarves they put on the dogs with calming pheromones. They gave her space, treats, toys, cheese, & peanut butter all to get her calm & happy. It worked. She went from shaking & pacing to nearly falling asleep. I wish I knew the Tech's name, she is a gem. We saw Dr Waller who was gentle, professional & very knowledgeable. It was great to go in with my dog, I haven't gotten to do that in 2 years due to COVID. I don't mind wearing a mask to be in the exam room. read more

I have been going to this clinic for years. My dog (lab) has an ear infection 2-3 times a year....typical for this breed. Each and every time one needs to wait for an appointment to get her ears checked for the bacteria to apply proper medication. Each and every time, the same bacteria is detected, each and every time the same medication is prescribed. Why they can' t prescribe the medication to refill when this happens is beyond my understanding. What is unreasonable is the fact that to schedule for the appointment, you have to wait a week. The dog has an inflamed ear, the condition is known, and my options are to wait or to go to an emergency clinic, refill for a known condition is not an option. I called and described to the support staff that this is going on, and that I don't want to wait for a week for an appointment, and that it is a known condition with my dog, and asked for a med refill. I was led to believe that the doctor would review the dog's file, and they will text me when the medication was ready. 48 hours later - nothing. As a dog owner one would like to have a relationship with a clinic you can rely on. The system is broken and not customer centric. After years of going back. We are done. read more

Not a pet health conscious vet. We tried this vet last year with acceptable results. However our Shiba has an exceptional memory. Every subsequent trip to any vet continues to have increased anxiety. I went on Monday to have my dog's yearly visit and vaccinations. He was not happy. The vet looked at him and only tried to a very superficial exam. She tried to give him treats which he won't take when he's any place weird. She just stopped the visit after only five minutes. She wanted to tranquilize him with what she called a pet friendly drug cocktail. Our Shiba doesn't react well to any sedatives and I told her such. She kept on about how he had to have their pills - three 10 hours before and then another set of three at two hours prior to the visit. He's always a pain if he figures out you're trying something. Even though we were part of the yearly plan - CareClub, the pills were going to be another $80. I had to schedule a second visit. We gave him some sedatives that the previous vet had prescribed. Not a fun proposition. Had to force him to take the second pill. I can't imagine trying to give him three pills. I took him in at noon. The same vet commented on how much calmer he was. Her second exam was six minutes before she stopped. She tried to get us to sedated him with their 'pet friendly' combo again. She didn't even want to give him his shots again. I told her I was uncomfortable with giving him doggie downers. And then she proceeded to tell me how she wanted to give him a tranquilizer shot on top of that. My wife called and talked to the vet and she reiterated we didn't like to give the dog pills. She told the vet on how the pills lingered with him for several days. The vet then proceeded to voiced her condescending opinion over my wife several times. I had to give the dog his shots. And they also charged for his vaccinations which are advertised as part of the CareClub. I didn't know what was included in the CareClub or I wouldn't have paid. On 8/20/2024, I took my Senior Cat in to get blood work an urine analysis done, paying almost $600 for the service and NO ONE followed up with me on testing results. Had to call on 9/19 to follow up MYSELF and was told I would get a call or email that afternoon. No one called back or emailed me results from the testing. 9/23 I get a vague email that my cat has Chronic Kidney Disease and a quote for $200 of more testing they would like to do, but no one called to talk to me about the results of the testing or provided me with the actual test results. I had to call again to get the test results, when I read the report, I saw that the results were returned to the vet on 8/21, a day after the testing was completed. Turns out their office has been sitting on information that my cat has Chronic Kidney Disease for a month. The staff were unapologetic and no vet had followed up with any phone call explanation to go with their vague email. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SIT ON IMPORTANT TEST RESULTS AND NEVER FOLLOW UP WITH YOU. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

My experience with this place has been inconsistent. I was referred here by my regular Veterinarian at West Seattle Animal Hospital when my cat required overnight care while suffering issues during renal failure. The first Vet I saw at this place tried to talk me out of following the suggested treatment of my cat and suggested putting the cat down. While the prognosis was realistic, her bedside manner was abhorrent. She relented after I told her to follow my Vet's instructions to the letter. The second Vet I saw here was Dr. Cuthbert. He was remarkable to work with, and was very sensitive to my needs and explained all my options and fully detailed the condition of my beloved pet. After having to unfortunately put the cat down, I returned a week later to retrieve the cremated remains of my pet, and the cat carrier he was brought in. The cat carrier however was not there. It apparently "went home with another owner." They're currently trying to retrieve the carrier, but this was a complication that really wasn't welcomed when I was picking up the cremated remains of my cat that I'd had for fifteen years and am still distraught at losing. The vet tech I was dealing with was very apologetic, and pleasant, but this is patently ridiculous. Update: I did get my cat carrier with it's contents returned. So that's a plus, I guess. read more

VCA Five Corners is a wonderful choice for all cats! I had taken my cats to them for years. They are compassionate, intuitive and have dedicated attention to preventative health care. They have treated two of my senior cats and I was very satisfied. Truly a wonderful place for your pet! However, I had an issue with their professionalism after a bad blood draw and urine sample. The technician on the day of my cat's appointment was 3.5 hours late. This was a very important blood draw due to treatment for hyperthyroidism. The staff reported that he had "acted like a completely different cat" and we set up a medication plan for his future visits. Every visit for the following 2.5 years I was asked "Did he get his meds exactly before coming?" and I was reminded that "He was like a different cat." This asking at every appointment, sometimes twice (vet tech and doctor) made me feel like I was being shamed, accused of doing something wrong, and like I was being belittled as a bad cat mom. I started to dread going for fear of being ridiculed once more. I have now switched veterinary offices and I hope that the staff and doctors at VCA Five Corners can learn from this. read more

The level of impersonal money grubby service I got from here makes me questions why these people are even in the animal business. I wish there was a negative star option in this case. I took my cat here in an emergency and was told he had thrown a clot to his front leg and would die if they didn't treat him. Keep in mind they had him in the back away from me to find out his condition. I was presented along with the prognosis a estimate of over $2,000 and was told that if I didn't give them 75% of the estimate that they would hand my cat back to me and we could be on our way. HELLO?!!! I understand the treatment is going to be expensive and am not even complaining about the total... even though I found a 24 hour emergency vet less than a mile away with far more compassion, education and patient/owner care... but it is very unprofessional to give a grave prognosis and then corner me in the same breath for an exorbitant amount of money that it MIGHT cost. The horrible details go on but I will spare you of the novel. I am sorry I would never take my animals here ever again and advise that anyone whom loves their pets to do the same. read more

Several years ago my dog broke her leg while visiting a friend. The friend took the dog to 5-Corners. I followed up with them for her after care. Having a dog with a broken leg is bad, but this place just made it horrible. They are so disorganized. They screwed up everything. They even lost the dog's x-rays. After I complained they did tell me to make up for the problems they wouldn't charge me for the visit. Apparently them meant they wouldn't charge me for it that day -- because they billed me for it. I would NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER use this place or any other VCA clinic. Still, years later, when I think of how badly they provided care for my tiny little dog, I get flush with anger. I wish there was a zero star option. And yes, I tried to find someone else to do the after care, but no one I talked to would do it because they didn't set the leg. So I was stuck with these idiots. Despite the sketchy neighborhood, my husband and I brought our dogs here for over a year. We finally decided to find another provider after ongoing issues with prescriptions not being filled (or filled with the correct dosages/quantity) after we'd been told that they had been. Over six months worth of calls and follow up later, the veterinarian we'd been seeing finally told us that these ongoing issues were the fault of our pharmacy (with whom we've had no problems, and who seems able to fill every other prescription without error or delay). When we explained that we didn't think this was the issue, we were told that it was *our* fault, because we'd been "abusive" to their staff (we had not) and "used profanity" (absolutely not the case). It's hard to know how to react to that kind of outright lie, except to just end the relationship. Ultimately, we ended up with West Seattle Animal Hospital. They've been fantastic, and caught a serious medical condition that Five Corners completely missed. (I assume this was the fault of our pharmacy, as well). On the whole, I'd say that Five Corners is fine if your pet is at death's door and you have no other option. Otherwise, find a provider with higher standards of administrative and medical care. read more

I have to go to someplace else,but the sign and website says open till 7pm, I was at the place at 616pm. She said he would probably have to be hospitalized. Untrue... I chose this hospital because someone I use to be close to managed VCA hospitals and told me they were good. Well it's been years since she managed here and it looks like they are falling behind. My dog is having strange symptoms with diarrhea over a month period. They took some stool samples, gave me antibiotics and some de-wormer and with the initial visit cost $400.00. They would have a star more but I had to call THEM to get results back on the tests. Even then they asked me my name three times and kept me on hold until they finally had to call me back after calling their labs. They said they don't have caller id. Any business in 2014 you would think would have caller id and would pull up their clients info. Not this location. If this is how they handle their customers I feel it is a reflection on how they handle their patients. I don't feel confident, they did not earn it. Having just moved into the area from Arlington where I had a great vet I am disappointed. In short, they might be good for emergencies just because they are open, but I am switching to another vet. read more

The doctors were great and very friendly and good with my dog. My girlfriend and my own issues were with one particular person at the front desk. I agree with the other most recent posts that she specifically seemed unorganized and unaware of what was actually going on. Aside from all of the confusion around what was actually going on she wasn't very friendly an almost seemed a bit rude and not willing to take the blame for something I am assuming was her fault. Most importantly she just seemed to NOT EVEN CARE. Eventually the other desk help took over with me and was much more friendly and easier to deal with. She actually remembered us and our situation and asked how things were going. Something the other girl did not do. Its funny how one person can change the perception of a business. A-OK is not the wording I would choose for this rating. I have taken my precious rescue cats to 5 Corners since 1998. When it opened, this facility was NOT a franchise with VCA (a nationwide corporation) and had replaced one of the most horrifying clinics in the area. Originally, the clinic was all women and what an attitude change from other local vets. The "bedside" manner was kind and considerate. They seemed to care about the animals, though it was expensive even then. Since '98, I've used 5 Corners exclusively though I was not excited about it becoming a corporate franchise. It was good to have a 24-hr emergency clinic in the area. The cost continued to climb substantially over the years. Since it became corporate, money seems to be the central element of the practice and caring is largely perfunctory. It has not been hearts and flowers for me since 2009. I spent an enormous amount of money only to lose 2 sweet 10 year old girls in the space of a month in 2010. Though the cost was staggering, it was the inconclusiveness of the medical treatment that was most appalling. Ultimately, they could not diagnose sudden conditions that inevitably led to only one very final choice. Yes, they did send me a sympathy card afterward with signature from people I never met. Over 2 years later, my emotions are as raw as at the moment. There can be no closure because I'll never know why I had to lose them. The unknown is always more difficult to digest. I don't know if incompetence was involved, but a near 100% turnover in medical and office staff from 2010 to 2011 HAS to indicate more than just a "staff infection". Other than the franchise owner and the officer manager, everyone is new. It is time to find a veterinarian resource who is not guessing. Yes, medicine is more an art than a science -- so how can they charge as if it were a science. If I were only guessing in my work, I would soon be out of business! read more

There was a very sweet stray cat (who I affectionately called Maynard) that lived outside my house. I never claimed him as my own but I gave him food water and a place to sleep. About a week ago I noticed that he had become very very sick. I suspect it was a URI but I can't be sure. In any case he was in very bad shape. He didn't even eat or take care of himself anymore. I could not afford to take him to a vet (again, this was a stray--not my own cat.) I urgently began calling shelters to see if somebody could take him and make him better. I called Purrfect Pals, MEOW, and Whisker City and none of them were able to help. Finally a person on Craigslist told me about VCA Five Corners. I called them and I was very very happy to find that they were willing to take Maynard and do what they could do at no cost to me. They work with the King County Animal Shelter so if they are able to make him better he will be going there and hopefully finding a nice home. The only bad thing about my experience was the fact that they said they will be unable to notify me about his progress. I know he's not my cat, but I still care about him and if he has to be put down I would at least like to know about it. Still, I am thankful that VCA was able to help out and I trust that May-Nay is in good hands. read more

Where do I start. I guess I'll start with saying I still go to this clinic but I am open to find another place that also takes Care Credit. My dog, then a 3-month old puppy, was bit by another dog about 6 years ago. This was the only place that we could find that did serviced patients after hours. It is a 24-hour clinic. At that time we had a great Vet and he took care of our dog and also gave us options for payments. So we were relieved to hear that. Since then, our dog essentially kept going back for all the checkups and everything else in between. We got a second dog and also took him to this clinic and that's when I realized how much it cost just for a simple office visit- $60 and it seems that just goes to weighing the dog, asking you what's wrong with the dog and taking their temperature. After that the vet comes in the room diagnosis the dog and sends us off with an average of $300 bill..maybe even $400!! My sister-in-law also takes her dog to this vet and they took all this blood work on the dog that cost over $1000 and in the end all they said all the tests were inconclusive! Inconclusive??!? For $1000 can you at least look again? Instead she was left hanging and just googled her dog's symptoms and changed the dog's diet. Her dog is doing much better. $1000 down the drain if you tell me. We got smart with our second dog and got insurance so now both our dogs are insured through Tru-panion (highly recommend them by the way). So it's not so painful to go to VCA five-corners anymore but we are still trying to pay off the balance in our Care Credit card from before we got insurance. Also, they can't seem to get their vaccines straight and on schedule. They send reminder cards for vaccines that are due even though your dog already got it 2-3 weeks prior so we get confused and they tell us to just ignore the card. Maybe if they stayed on top of the vaccine schedule they can save more money instead of sending out reminder cards that are no longer needed. But they probably pass that cost to the customers too so no need to be sustainable in their end. They also almost cycle through their vets. I don't think I've seen the same vet twice for my dog. When I ask where Dr Cuthbert is, who was my favorite vet for my dogs, some staff says they don't know, some say they aren't allowed to tell and some say he doesn't practice Veterinary anymore. I always ask when I because it's amusing hearing the answers. Almost like they won't tell because they are afraid to lose your business so if you can't find Dr Cuthbert, you will keep coming back to them. Actually last time I asked, someone did say he was visiting Vet and you can see him but on very limited schedule like once a month Dr Cuthbert does make a visit to their clinic. Otherwise, yeah they are super reliable and can get your dog in for emergencies so aside from emergencies and annuals, I just try to keep my dog healthy on my own. I'm giving it three stars because I yet have to find another Vet that take Care Credit. That card is a lifesaver. They are all really nice staff too. I just wish their vets stuck around longer. It's great that it's a 24-hour clinic. They are prompt at my requests and scheduling needs. They are also EXTREMELY TRANSPARENT at itemizing the bill so you know exactly where your hard-earned money is going. At least they don't hide that part with hidden fees...except does sticking a thermometer up a dog's butt really cost $60? Guess so.At least at this place it does. They probably have LOTS of paper to push. read more

Just an update.... still love this place and my darling has lots of medical issue so I am very confident in this facility... I just wanted to let everyone know that you can alway request a certain doctor on staff so over my experiences while everyone has been wonderful... my true connection is Dr. Allendinger she is amazing, caring and so warm and explains everything very thoroughly! I ask for her always now...there is a connection so find one that you love and then stick with them! I come from Queen Anne to Burien and I wouldn't trust another vet with my precious little girl! PS... I don't want to leave out the office help they too are wonderful and I appreciate them all... always so welcoming! This place ROCKS! read more

We needed a health certificate for Toby the dog to fly from Seattle to NYC. VCA was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Every single person we encountered at this office was so friendly. From the receptionist to the vet tech to the vet .... they all went out of there way to help and were all extremely knowledgeable. The next day we even got a call from the vet to check and see how Toby was doing. Now thats service! read more

I've been to many veterinarians around here. This is my option for after-hour ER only if my baby needs a "mildly" urgent care. If it's a more serious situation, then I got to Tacoma. I don't know what their regular or non-ER fees are since I've never been here during regular hours, but for after hour urgent care expect to pay a higher "urgent care" price as you would for human. I must say this urgent care hospital isn't as expensive as other ER's I've been to in the greater Puget Sound region. They are conveniently located immediately off 509 freeway and the best of all they are open 24/7! After one quick shot and my baby was feeling like a different doggie within 5 minutes. Not happy at all with VCA Five Corners. Vet called and said she wanted a retest of a urine specimen that had already been performed and took another sample back for urine chemistry. This is a 'dip stick' test. Not an involved test. VCA billed the re-test again at $73! They don't even charge that for humans. The re-test is due to what they called an anomalous result and billed it again! I used to do lab testing a hospitals and we never charged for a retest on anomalous results. Not going back to VCA 5 corners and filing a BBB complaint. Billed me for the test but no results. I don't even have results from the initial test! Not happy at all with VCA and their predatory billing. read more

Dr Graham and staff took such good care of our old dog Lou on his last day. Louie was 15 and suffering from a sudden onset of bloat and we were treated with respect and care as well. I am new to the Burien area. I was looking for a Vet for my Cat. I contacted VCA and spoke with Vanessa, who was very nice and we made an appt., Taking cat to car in carrier and door opened and he got out, which caused me to miss my appt., but I did call them, and was told that they had NO openings for almost 4 weeks. Asked about a waiting list or same day appt. I got a call back from a different gal and she was kind of snotty. (Mind you, since Jan., I have lost my son, divorced after 40 yrs, Heart Attack in Jan., had to put my dog down, moved.) Finally got Smokey back home. I called to see about getting another appt., I was called back by a gal and in a VERY condescending scolding like, was told I can try again tomorrow for appt, but they would need to collect pymt first. I am so sorry to have bothered them, definitely not the treatment I expected. The world is a mess & no one is perfect, so maybe try being a little more understanding, as you have NO idea what is going on in one's personal life or what they might be going through. My first experience with VCA was an emergency where my cat had been hit by a car. They are all incredibly caring animal lovers, and even saved his life when at last minute during the original surgery they realized something was wrong and figured out he needed a different operation ASAP. The only problem was they had told my family the bill was a certain price after everything, but when we went to pay it had sky rocketed. The second time I brought my other cat in was very recently. My parents were set against going again because of what happened last time. But since it's a walk-in clinic I went in the middle of the night by myself and had her looked at. Again the same warmth for my pet was felt and when I had told the vet I only had $500 on me, and couldn't ask for money from my parents, he worked around my budget, and was flexible helping me set up a payment plan. I'm so grateful to him and my kitty is too. read more

My cat suffers from asthma and was having an awful day. We were worried about her making it through the night. We have a regular vet she has always seen in the past and planned to take her there but couldn't find our kitty kennel. I went to several vet offices asking to buy one of the cardboard fold up carriers just to get her to a vet safely ASAP. Everywhere I went refused to give me one unless I had my pet with me AND she had to be a patient of the clinic. Even if she was a patient how would I get her there without a carrier? VCA was my third stop and the woman at the front desk was more than accommodating to give me a cardboard carrier. It was raining pretty hard at the time and instead she gave me a kennel that someone had donated to the clinic to keep my sick kitty out of the rain and also warmly wished me a goodnight and hope that my cat gets better. After how sweet and generous she was we decided to call and ask if they take walk-ins since they were so much closer to home and had such polite caring staff. Apparently they usual go by appointment only but she did everything she could to move things around and make time for us immediately. She called our previous vets office to get our cats medical history and told us to come in as soon as possible since we told her it was an emergency. The second we walked through the door they had a room and vet tech all ready for us and our pets medical history sent over. The vet tech was amazing and did the full work up on our sick girl and the vet came in immediately after. The vet took one look at her and told us we needed to take her into an emergency room to get her onto an oxygen tank ASAP. She helped us pack her up and escorted us out. The clinic did the full height, weight, temp, etc. work up and gave us the appointment free of charge. I have never had such a caring and helpful experience before this. Every staff remember we came into contact with was beyond caring and compassionate. They listened to everything we had to say and did everything possible to make our experience as stress free as possible for us and our pet. Our kitty has been having asthma issues for awhile now and we have gone to our same emergency vet three times now for the same issue. The have never once mentioned the idea or the option of putting her on oxygen to stabilize her breathing. VCA sent us to our normal vet because they unfortunately don't have the oxygen our cat needed at their clinic. But they told us exactly what she needed and gave us multiple options on where to take her to get it. From what they had told us she needed we had the right information to go into our usually vet emergency room and know what to ask for even though they have never offered it the three times we've come in for the same reason before. Since VCA gave us the knowledge to know what to ask for the moment we walked in we said what they told us to say and she was immediately given what was needed and taken care of right away. I think without going to VCA first this situation would have ended with the same results as the previous 3 visits that didn't make a difference. I truly appreciate everything they did for my cat and my family. Thank you so so much. If I ever need a vet again this will be my new go to, hands down. The ONLY downfall is I wish they had the oxygen tank my cat needed so I never had to take her somewhere else. They were amazing. read more

My cats mean the world to me. I would be very careful before you trust this hospital and their doctors. My cat has seen multiple doctors, because they could not find a problem and kept running tests and running tests that ended up costing me thousands of dollars. Finally, they sent me to see a specialist, which I took my cat too. The specialists was very nice. I didn't feel like it was all about money at his office. The two offices were like night and day. I never felt compassion from VCA. My cat was clearly very ill, losing weight, puking and bad diarrhea. They told me he had IBS, which was wrongly mis-diagnosed. My cat was actually in full renal failure. All those months of testing and treatments with VCA, put my cat in full renal failure. If he had been diagnosed properly 9 months ago, he would still be here today. I fought for my baby for months and did everything I could for him. Vet bills totaled over $5000 when he finally passed. He was my kid and I feel wrongly mis-lead, treated in-humanly and felt like it was all about money and not my- PET!!! I would strongly avoid this clinic. Not compassionate at all!! I would never trust them with my other cat or any future pets. I really hate giving bad reviews, but this is a must when it comes to the life and death of my pet! Tried to take our dog here tonight as I caught him munching on some mouse poison. Unfortunately when I got there, they were closed! The sign in the window said they were going to be closed overnight from 8pm - 7am through the month of September, and were sorry for any inconvenience. Well, it was a significant PITA! I had to drive all the way over to ACCES in Renton (across from Ikea), further delaying treatment for my dog's emergency. Thank goodness I'd already given him a lot of hydrogen peroxide before we left, and there was a bunch of vomit in the car with telltale green flecks. I called a week prior to set an appointment for my dogs nails to get clipped and they said they don't take appointments for dogs nail clipping and to just come in, the Techs will get you right in and it's first come first serve. On Sundays they don't accept any appointments, only walk-ins. I went in on Sunday morning and arrived as they opened the doors. I was the first person in and expected to be the first in line for service. I expected to sit for a few minutes and then get called back into a room. Soon after, 3 other non-emergency visits strolled in and were placed right into rooms. After patiently waiting I asked why I was being skipped, their response was, "I'm not sure why they bring them back in the order they do". I'm quite sure it has to do with money being spent - so 2 hrs later and still waiting I kindly left and will never return for this type of horrible customer service. I should have listened to my neighbor who warned me about this place... I found a vet in Renton that is privately owned and now I receive great service and good prices. I do not recommend a commercialized franchise like this that prostitutes its vets to place money over service. read more

Lets talk about the facts of my recent experience with this company. My dog was taken into clinic, at the time she was taken in I was told cost would be 292 dollars and some cents. By the end of the visit my bill was 429 dollars, but that is just where the trouble begins. The next day we took my dogs new puppies in for claw removal, we were quoted 10.50 per claw, approximately 70 dollars. We were then charged nearly 200 dollars! It gets even worse yet though! I then get a bill from my credit card, and not only did they charge all of the above amounts, they also charged me another 1300 dollars! Whether all of this is a mistake, or just outright dishonest business practices I don't know. I do know that I would not wish this experience on anyone. read more

They should really consider hiring new staff. Their receptionist seem to always be in a bad mood and don't look like they are willing to help at all. Considered making this my new vet but not after having to deal with whoever was at the front desk! To top it off, I had called in seeking urgent care which they said they offered, only to be told I should take my dog to an Emergency Hospital!!! Could have saved me the time and trip and went to get real help instead. read more
