I love VCC! My dentist is awesome and perfect, as I just got a cleaning, and 2 fillings done by her. She also referred me to a private clinic for other dental services. I felt very safe and was relieved that I can completely trust her judgment. There was very little to no pain, and my teeth feel so much better. So far, VCC is the only dental practice that has suggested I get fillings replaced, in the past years. The last time, another dentist here replaced one. I've been to about 4 other offices, and none of them seemed to think it was a need. The customer service is on point, the lobby/waiting room is well-kept, and all of my concerns are always addressed. I take my parents here and they do such an amazing job. From the front desk who are always so helpful and kind. They helped my mom fill out forms when i wasn't able to make it. From the MAs like Eunice who go above and beyond the quality of care. To the RN who is always patient and willing to help educate us on our care. To the doctors who actually really listen to my parents need. My father's doctor was able to stabilize my dad's diabetes after years of trying to manage it. If I can give this place ZERO stars I would. I was chiropractic shopping for my frozen shoulders , and I wanted to ask certain questions about what type of therapy she offers. The only way to get my answers is I have to make an appointment. That's a major turn off. Realistically if she doesn't then I would have to have my Dr change my referral for another chiropractor. I had to write a review because I had the best experience, thanks to Eunice. I went in to get my blood drawn, and normally, it takes a long time for them to find a vein because, unfortunately, chemotherapy damaged mine. Eunice was patient with me and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. i truly do not understand why the VCC gary center has low reviews on google... i visited them twice this past week and i had a great experience. the front desk staff can be a little cold, but once you talk to them they are helpful. my first visit was with dr mansuri and he was so welcoming and made me feel seen/heard. ive had troubles in the past getting an oncologist referral but dr mansuri made it happen without any issues. im very thankful for him and im excited to have him as my doctor. i also visited the dentist and i absolutely LOVE dr dayrit. she is seriously the best.. so kind and fun to talk to. i feel very well cared for and had a fantastic time. the dentist assistant (im sorry i don't have your name) was also extremely sweet and caring. read more

Dr Huynh is gentle and very informative with my son's visit there. I like how the staff at the dental side was so friendly to us. My son was comfortable during his visit and was not afraid at all. He came out with no cavities and they gave him a goodie bag: floss, toothpaste and paste with a toy to choose from their toy box. I can only speak on the OB side for this clinic as I have not received care regarding other services they offer. The OB side of this clinic is horrendous, trying to get an appointment is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone that is pregnant. read more

I have been a patient with VCC for years now however the past two months of trying to seek care has been absolutely horrendous. First, trying to speak to a receptionist is impossible. Multiple calls made in a week and leaving my number for a call back and no response or follow ups. Yet anytime I have come in the past multiple receptionist are chatting about their personal lives and phone lines don't seem to be as busy as the automated message claims. There is also major lack of communication when scheduling telahealth vs in person appointments. Both telahealth appointments (to discuss lab results) I've scheduled were changed into in person and only notified by text about the change last minute. The medical assistants and physicians are great but their is a definite need for change in the system when handling lab results and scheduling appointments. read more

Dr Martinez at VCC recommended acupuncture with Gary. I told her that I had acupuncture previously from a Dr in El Monte and that I had at least 4 treatments with no relief of pain in my back. This review is for my experience with setting up appointments for my dad and for him obtaining services through their dental group. Seniors do not typically get dental coverage unless very low income so the VCC Gary Center has been a blessing for my dad. They charge you a one-time payment based on a sliding scale for the services that they offer (based on your income). The only thing that I wish would get better is how far out they are scheduled. Hoping that the government will give them more funding/grants so they can hire additional providers and the appointment wait times will not be so bad. The dentist, Dr. Nicole Dayrit is by far the BEST. Unfortunately, she's only at this location once a week it seems. I really hope they bring her to this location full time. She is very patient, thorough, and takes her time to explain everything. Filling a cavity and doing a deep cleaning has never been this painfree before according to what I was told! The other dentist was not as attentive, did not go into much detail, did not care to explain anything, and spent the majority of her time chatting with the dental assistant. We have not used any other services here but I am hopeful that they are just as good! read more

Terrible service. Our appt was at 3pm, I pulled my grandson from school 1/2 hr earlier to be there on time. After everybody that was there went in to see the dr. and .45min later. I asked at the front desk how long more. He never gave me an answer. New people came in and out in a short time, but they didn't called us. Got tired of waiting and left. read more

I went to VCC over five times to receive dental treatments, fillings, and cleanings and had an amazing experience each time. Staff are really friendly, attentive, and nice people who want to help you. My dentist was Phuong-Kieu Huynh DMD and she was very careful and thorough with my treatments. She always does an amazing job taking my pain away and is always checking in on how I'm doing during treatment. I'm very grateful and appreciative to the dentists at VCC.The dental staff assisting her have always been very kind, helpful, and do great work following up and scheduling. The front desk staff are also very professional and polite. Sometimes you have to wait a while for an appointment but the treatment is worth it. Highly recommend VCC and my dentist! read more

Never come here. Change your primary care physician ASAP. I was scheduled for an appointment on a day that they weren't OPEN. Not only did I wait in pain for two weeks because they failed to schedule me on a respectable time and date, but when I show up for my appointment, NO ONE IS HERE. This is ridiculous and I even called their call center, but they always have absurd wait times up to an hour. read more

The dental department at The Gary Center used to be a highly recommend place. I've recommend many low income friends here for a very long time and have gotten positive feedback. My last three visits have been disappointing and have gotten incorrect diagnoses on my teeth! 1st. visit, I'm told I have 8 cavities! That didn't seem right. But, it was my fault not to get a second opinion. 2nd. The dentist hit a major nerve in my mouth when giving me lidocaine (numbing agent). I waited a week to see if it would go away. It didn't. I called the clinic and spoke to the doctor about my concerns about it. All he said was,"that's weird, it'll go away." 3rd. Visit, those 8 cavities I had....he did four on my right side (2 up top and 2 on the lower). I wasn't having any issues with them prior to this procedure. Now I do! 4th and last visit. I get another doctor that wasn't friendly or professional. I told her where my teeth were hurting. She stuck a sharp instrument in between my back molars, the instrument got caught and she proceeded to twist and pull aggressively until the instrument was free from my teeth!!! She proceeded to tell me ,"I don't know what is wrong, your teeth will heal." Umm, the last time I heard, teeth don't heal! Instead of going back to the Gary center, I found another office with some ethics and professionalism. I had my full mouth x-rays done again and this dentist proceeded to tell me that I had "NO" cavities and everything looked good!!! At this point I had 4 of the 8 mystery "cavities" filled!!! I'm glad I didn't go back for them to screw up the other 4 teeth they had plan to drill out for no reason!! Find another office that will take your insurance, it's worth it in the end, your teeth are forever...and expensive when their screwed up!! read more

The best thing that has come from me losing my job and insurance during the pandemic was finding the awesome staff, nurses and Doctors at VCC Gary Center. Oh sure, I had the fancy primary doc's office when I had company paid insurance but the staff at Gary Center have become my friends something that would never happen at the fancy primary insurance office. The care at this little jewel is awesome. Always attentive, caring, and always going out of the way for everybody who walks into the front door. For me it's fun to see everyone when I walk into the front door. From the girls at the front desk to Ed, Ana and Dr. Duy back in the patient rooms, it has been such a joy for me to get to know all these wonderful people (Friends) After all they put up with me and my "out there" personality. The Gary Center has been a place I needed at the right time as I go through some changes in my life that I never thought I would come to. But these wonderful people at Gary Center will are a huge bright spot in my life in these trying times for me. My service there has been good but there's an operator at the call center that needs to get fired. I know it's harsh but this is the second time I've dealt with this person and she was very rude/ I had a baby and was seeing when she needed her next appointment, she obviously didn't know what she was talking about. "I see she was already seen 2 months ago, she doesn't need a check up till next year" "me, she's 5 months, she needs checkups every few months." Well I don't know it doesn't say anything here. And that's it! And she's hung up on me when i waited through 16 people in line. read more
