Writing this out of frustration today. When I showed up to my appointment I was informed that the doctor had an emergency. They told me they called me about needing to reschedule. I never received a phone call, voice mail, or a text about this. I actually kept receiving text notifications about my upcoming appointment. It's fine if appointments need to be rescheduled, it happens, but it's frustrating that I had to drive and waste my time coming to the office. I've never had issues with phone calls from VCC so it's strange that I somehow didn't get this call unless I was never called to begin with. I've been coming here for years and normally it's a decent experience at VCC. The medical assistants and the nurse practitioner I have seen in the past have always been friendly. It always feels like the hostility lies with reception. Also, when I arrived and I waited for the receptionist to be ready to see me, but I wasn't greeted or acknowledged so it was very awkward standing there. A simple and quick "hi I'll be right with you" goes a long way. read more

Vista Community Clinic was a referral to me from Tri-City Medical Center (two and a half years ago) from this social worker name Keith D. Vista Community Clinic is a really horrible medical clinic to get any kind of medical treatment done by their doctors or by their Nurse Practioners. This medical facility was the worst medical clinic that I have ever gone to in my lifetime. Please take my advice and don't ever get any kind of medical treatment done at this Vista Community Clinic because, I read these really bad reviews previously on this Yelp website. I should have not listened to this social worker Keith D. Also, some of their doctors are unprofessional. Dr. C. quit working for VCC, (1 year later) and she didn't notify me. Dr. C. just left. In my opinion, Vista Community Clinic only cares about the money they make off of my medical insurance company and they didn't care about me at all. I was treated really badly by one of their Nurse Practioners. I was assigned to this Nurse Practioner called a (NP) her name is Judy H. I learned in the medical care industry cheaper insurance or FREE Medical Care is not quality medical care. You get what you pay for in the medical care industry. Medical Insurance is very expensive and most people can't afford to buy good quality medical insurance because their monthly premium rates are very high and really costly. It's a nightmare! Whenever, I use to have to make an appointment, I have to go through their call center and speak to a customer service representative. The majority of the time I have to wait almost (5 to 6 hours on hold), before a call center rep. responds to my telephone call and I am able to set up appointment with my primary care doctor or a nurse practioner. The wait time is outrageous! I should not have to wait that long to set up an appointment with my primary care doctor. Also sometimes their CSR's are very rude and unprofessional in speaking to me during my phone conversations with them. I was mistreated bby one of their Nurse Practioners her name is Judy H. This is really an awful thing that was done to me while I was receiving Medical Treatment at this Vista Community Clinic. My necessary prescription medication, I have to take once a day and only one pill at day but I need this medication for my health condition I currently have now. My medication was denied to me (5 times) by this (NP), Judy H. This is the wrong thing to do to any patient especially me. The reason my medication was denied (5 times) because Judy H. said she wants me to take a blood test. I had already taken a blood test the month before and my blood test results came up NORMAL. Everything was fine with me and there wasn't any issues with me at all. I talked to Judy H. this (NP) I told her that it isn't necessary for me to take a Blood Test for this medication because this medication doesn't require me to take a Blood Test and this medication is monitored by the Dosage Level on how many milligrams a patient is assigned to by their Primary Care Doctor. Judy H. disagreed with my opinion and my opinion is correct because I called my Walmart Pharmacy and I talked to Wen this pharmacist. I asked Wen to confirm with me, this medication that I am taking and this medication is not required for me or any patient to take a Blood Test because this medication is monitored by the Dosage Level not by taking a monthly Blood Test. Wen said I am correct on my opinion. I told Wen this pharmacist who works for this Walmart Pharmacy for several years that my necessary medication was denied to me (5 times) by this Vista Community Clinic. I was denied this necessary medication that was (2 and a half years) ago when I was a patient receiving medical treatment at their facility. I asked Wen this Walmart Pharmacist, if I am not able to get my prescription medication refilled by NP, Judy H. What is going to happen to me? Wen said to me during our telephone conversation, if I don't get my necessary prescription medication refilled ASAP, I will bleed out and I will die. That was the last straw with me. I was done being a patient at this horrible place which is Vista Community Clinic. My life means nothing to this Vista Community Clinic. I filed a complaint with this Premier Unit with my Medical Insurance Company on that same day on VCC. I asked Wen to give me an Emergency Refill on my Prescription Medication for a (30 days supply). Wen said that he will give this Emergency Refill Medication on the same day that I called him that was (two and a half years ago), when I was a patient at this Vista Community Clinic. Wen told me his best advice is to quit being a patient at this Vista Community Clinic and get better medical care at another medical facility. I was going to do that anyway after I was denied my prescription medication (5 times) from NP, Judy H. I did find a better medical office to go to from my medical insurance company. I had an appointment with my PCM where I was given a referral to Gyn and come two days before the appointment on Saturday while I'm at work I'm getting incessant calls from there office. I'm in the middle of dealing with a patient so I decline the calls at least four separate times and they finally text to say there was a problem with my insurance and they don't have a referral for me also that I never met with my PCM. She then tries to book me with my PCM again a week from today to have a useless appointment to get a referral that I thought I already had and tells me it'll take two weeks to get the referral approved. I decide to tell her I will go elsewhere and she bulldozes over me basically telling me no. That no matter where I go it'll be the same thing and it doesn't matter if I have a secondary insurance. Doesn't let me get off until I finally just say okay and hang up. I message the number and say point blank to cancel any appointments that were made I'll be seen elsewhere and to please stop calling my phone nonstop as I am at work. She proceeds to call several more times and I repeat I am at work. Then magically twenty minutes later my original Gyn appointment is actually approved and I can come in. I question it and get no answer I question whether they even have the right person because the receptionist is calling me Allison not Alissa to which I get a sorry for the mispronounced name when those are two completely different names and still not explanation to what even happened. I'm sorry but at this point this feels like harassment and like someone really messed up and was trying to cover up a mistake. read more

Well it's been many years and I am officially switching to another healthcare provider. It does not seem they take your health care needs seriously. I updated my review some years ago and right after they resorted to their old ways (unorganized, lazy, confused, and inconsistent with the information they provide). I cannot tell you how many times I have gone in for an appointment and been told "oh we called because the doctor didn't come in today" (and I had no call from them) or "sorry we had to cancel your appointment (with no explanation) or "sorry they actually scheduled you for another location." Yet, now if you miss three appointments you can no longer schedule an appointment and can only go in as a walk in. I hope they have some repercussions for their doctors or receptionist that are calling out or not paying attention to the locations they are scheduling patients. I recently had contact with someone that has covid and called to schedule an appointment after their "txt to make appointment" thing was a fail. I ended up calling and all they could do was schedule a video appointment...keep in mind I have a lot of the symptoms and am very sick, why wouldn't they immediately have me tested? They said they are only doing video calls because of "Covid" how does that make any sense? If you have Covid symptoms shouldn't that be a priority to go in? I will miss Dr. Pudol dearly. Referrals from this medical office is RIDICULOUS! Up to 30+ days is outrageous! Lost paperwork, referrals sent to incorrect doctors offices, repeated requests to verify referrals. The business manager in this office needs to step up the management skills. Don't bother responding with a post, RESOLVE the PROBLEMS. Patients are carelessly treated with herd mentality from these employees. Hire more employees that can appropriately handle the daily tasks for a medical office. read more

After posting my negative review, I received a call from a higher-up admin person who apologized and gave me a couple of phone numbers I could call if I have any further issues. I've tried calling these numbers several times and no one answers. I've left messages and no one replies. It continues to be difficult to reach a live person to deal with any problems. The latest issue is that my PCP was supposed to order a follow-up blood test since previous test result was concerning. 4 months later and several attempts to communicate with VCC to correct this issue and order the appropriate I'm still dealing with this issue. Then, during my last visit I told my provider about my issue with VCC's failure to follow through with the test my PCP told me she would order and she said she would take care of it. Later in the same visit, she said she would order blood work and I reminded her to be sure the specific test was ordered and she confirmed she would. Turns out that the general blood work was ordered but not that one that I've now been waiting 5 months for at this point. This is getting pretty tiresome. Not sure I'm willing to give then a third chance for proper care. read more

This review is specifically for VCC Vale Terrace Acupuncture because I have had some of my worst medical experiences at other VCC clinics so I would NOT recommend them. On the flip side, Dr. Carol Song, my acupuncturist at VCC Vale Terrace has been phenomenal. I started going initially for pain management after I had a spinal fusion and also for depression/anxiety. Dr. Carol Song might be an Angel on earth. The way she actually takes time to talk and listen (better than any actual counselor from VCC). She has absolutely helped relieve my physical and emotional pain. The best days of my month are usually the day of or the day after my appointments with Dr. Carol Song. If you are wary of trying Acupuncture because you have to go to VCC and you've had other bad experiences with those facilities and their staff please just try it! I don't know if be on the positive path that I am on if it wasn't for her help and expertise. I don't usually write reviews but I had to tell the world how amazing she is and how grateful I am to have her on my medical team. read more

if I could give a negative star I would! this has been the worst clinic I have attended too. they have messed up my pregnancy appointments almost every time. noone ever available and the receptionist never has a clue as to what my appointment intells even after I explain so when I show up for my appointment I am given the wrong doctor! now that I need a cervical massage they keep pushing that appointment out! now that I'm mad and demanding they see me I am given attitude beyond measure! not only does it say in my notes that I will only see women doctors it also states I can only do morning appointments as I live an hr away and have kids I take to school, they keep trying to give me afternoon spots and even have given me a male doctor. this place doesn't care to make me comfortable nor do they care about how much they mess up! Dr. Cortez is a five star chiropractor!! I was a patient of his for 5+ years. His knowledge, professionalism and caring are above and beyond anything I have experienced in the medical field. I TRULY miss him and will never find another Dr. Cortez. He is one of a kind & was very kind, sensitive and gentle with my body and also my emotions. When a close family member died, he was very supportive, very compassionate and empathetic. He has a way of brightening one's day even in life's most challenging of storms. I chose him from the good reviews online and he definitely lived up to those reviews and then some. I was seeing him for my RA diagnosis which is a lifelong condition. He was very gentle and I was able to stay limber and feeling well in my body with just two visits a month. I strained my back a few times and Dr. Cortez accomodated me and helped my back to heal quicker with his adjustments. One day I came in for my regular appointment and just before had twisted my ankle and he was able to adjust it, didn't even know that could be done, and it healed very quickly. He also took time to educate me on many topics related to his profession. Dr. Cortez is a VERY TALENTED Chiropractor, yet he is more than that, he is a Beautiful human being who truly cares about his patients, goes above and beyond. I came here for my entire pregnancy, and everything was great. The OBGYNs are average, but everyone else on the prenatal team was wonderful. Helpful, kind, & well informed. I went from being scared to give birth, to being confident and excited! My only complaint is the terrible call system they have for booking appointments or speaking to anyone. Dr. MacMurray and Dr. Cortez are wonderful. The dental staff is professional and friendly. The communication to and from the administration is horrible/non-existent. I've been asking for help to fix my patient portal for months and they don't do anything. They keep telling me someone will get back to me but nobody ever does. I still can't communicate via the portal or look up my appointments or medications. VCC will not post the address of the administration offices nor will they allow anyone to tell me the address for me to talk to someone in person. VCC administration and officers take our money but they won't talk to their customers. If this were a private company they'd be sued and shut down by the Better Business Bureau. read more

Today my niece came in for a filling plus sealant and was taken care of in a timely manner. She was seen by Dr Cruz and I believe Regina had come out to talk to us once the procedure was done. I was aware they had a fully loaded schedule but they made it work. The front desk was very patient and through at answering our questions during check in. If I could rate 0 stars I would. I found out I was pregnant at the beginning of November. I called vcc to get a pregnancy confirmation. 11 unanswered phone calls later I got a call back after I already went to a small outside clinic. They finally got me an appointment to get a referral, was at 6 weeks pregnant already. An hour before they called saying the doctor was sick and needed to reschedule or do a phone appointment. I finally got the referral and the doctor said she rushed it. 7 days later the referral has still not gone in. I'm coming up on 8 weeks after a previous miscarriage and because of this place I have yet to even schedule an appointment with my ob. I called to ask about an update and they say their systems are down and need a good call back number. This place shouldn't even been open. Terrible experience. When it comes to telehealth appointments, this place is horrible. They always state that they call me three times and left voicemails but in reality they never did because there's no evidence on my end on my phone. I don't have no missed calls and no voicemails. I'm very upset because today I had my lactation appointment at 10:45 and for the same reason that they always have trouble reaching out to me. I called in at 10:20 so I could check in myself and so I WOULD NOT MISS MY APPT, I told the representative to transfer me so I could be checked in but the lady said oh just wait for them to call you. And 10:46am passes by and I called and they stated the same that they called me 3 times and left 2 voicemails funny because there's nothing on my end. In person appointments, I never have issues. I always receive the calls. They have the correct phone number so this is just a big inconvenience and a big headache because I was able to reach out to someone by 1050 1055 and now they couldn't proceed with my telehealth call Because I guess Mari or Maria left ... she couldn't wait for me for 10 / 15mins for my appointment? Now it makes me wanna question them did they even try calling me or did this Marii lady left ? Now I don't even have a lactation appointment they wanted me to do it today at 3:45 but I cannot today and on Tuesday they wanted me to schedule, but I have an appointment with the nutritionist the same day and you can't do double booking.
