Hard to find at first since it's located in an industrial part of the Valley but since Crossfit isn't your normal average gym, it needs an open space like a warehouse for the exercises. The place is on Oxnard after Kester. Pull into a small burger shack and the Bill Ferrel Co. and it's behind that. Been taking classes since October since I've plateau'd after working out consisting the last few years. I love it. Every class is different so your body doesn't get used to it, but with time you can build strength, endurance and power. The owner Mike Latch also teaches most of the classes and he along with the other students are very helpful and supportive. This isn't like a hard body place where everyone is conceited and you have no reason to be shy, everyone is so nice. The first class is free so you can try it and I am hooked. $150 for 10 classes or unlimited per month. 10 classes is good at first if you can't come all the time. (At first, I would be so stiff 3 days at a time for the first 2 weeks, now I do unlimited). Each class is an hour long, and they have a lot of classes depending on what time you can come in. They do a variety of workouts; sometimes with weights, kettlebells, cardio, pushups, jumprope, etc. etc. I honestly feel so much better after I go. It's hardwork that pays off.

I've been taking my 9year old nephew to the kids CrossFit class, and he absolutely LOVES it. The class pushes my nephew physically, and mentally. Jay (the coach) is beyond helpful, and I truly appreciate how she coaches CrossFit ! She is attentive and assertive in just the right way with all the kids in class. My nephew can become shy when it comes to active activities cause he isn't the most athletic, but jay knows how to push him in the right way. She encourages him and gives him the right guidance and motivation for him to want to push himself ! He walks away so happy(and not to mention, BEAT! Lol). My girlfriends 6 year old niece has also started to attend the class and she absolutely loves it as well. It's been a couple of months of them being members, and they both love to brag about their awesome coach jay!

    Always having fun!!!

Do not support this Row House location…read more I used to be a Row House member years ago at Long Beach. I also was a member at Long Beach rowing association and would row on the water at marine stadium during the week. When RHLB shut down (very sad day) I joined Granada Hills Row House since I would frequently come out to the valley. During my membership at Granada hills I would also row at other locations such as Tustin, Santa Monica and Westlake if I was in the area. I loved that I could access other locations with my membership. About a year ago I had to cancel my unlimited membership. I was commuting 90 miles round trip to work 5 days a week and it was exhausting and I didn't have the time for exercise. Fast forward to a couple days ago I got an email from Class Pass to join their membership as a trial. Now that I no longer commute and I was craving to get back into my routine and try new things I thought "let's give it a shot." I was excited to see that Row house Sherman oaks was on the system and I've been wanting to check this location out and possibly rejoin. I signed up for a class and got an email confirmation from row house Sherman oaks that I was in and to show up 15 mins early. So apparently I am "flagged" in their system for having too many Row House accounts. I get there at 10:15 (15 mins before class) and Ralph said I'm not in the system because I was flagged. He didn't give me any other explanation. I asked for a corporate number because I'm really confused as to why im flagged in their systems when I've been a paying member for years with no issues and have a trial with Classpass because it was offered to me via email. He said there's no corporate number. Ok Ralph. So I asked him what do I do? He gave me no resolution. The class wasn't full and apparently there were many cancellations and he said I couldn't take the class. I live in Woodland Hills so the drive to Sherman oaks took me about 30 mins with traffic on the 101. I didn't even get a phone call. Or an email. I booked the class the day before. Clearly they have my information if I'm in their system. They don't care about members or future members. It's all money and business. What a waste of time. In hindsight I'm glad this happened because had I ended up joining Row House again I would not choose this location as my home base to support. Also the parking here sucks. Thankfully I have a concept2 erg at home so I'll just enjoy it on my own time and if I feel the need to take a class and purchase a single session in person I'll go to row house Granada Hills even if it's a little further drive. :)

I came here 3 months ago with severe plantar fasciitis and 15 years of treatment resistant rotator cuff pain, and their PT and strength training has me pain free and stronger than I've been in years. The physical therapists and trainers are like wizards who find the root cause of your pain and provide exceptional treatments through extended PT, massage therapy and strength training. I signed up with their personal trainer Brian to sustain my recovery and continue building strength. His knowledge and approach is exceptional. He listens, teaches, coaches and targets strength training for my specific needs. After searching for a personal trainer for years I've found my unicorn. I realized I had been doing certain movements incorrectly for years, but Brian helped me understand why proper form and technique matter so much. The knowledge he shared was truly paradigm-shifting and has completely changed how I approach my workouts moving forward. I've been part of large HIIT groups that focus on great fat-burning exercises, but I've never been taught the way I was with Fit Co. They have been BEYOND accommodating in all respects, including as it relates to scheduling flexibility. I'm in the best shape of my life, and I am very grateful to NexGen for helping me get there. To address the critical review regarding billing, I can say from personal experience that they have always promptly addressed any billing adjustments that have been required when I have missed a scheduled session (because payment is made monthly in advance) and have never been dishonest in the slightest. It's extremely disappointing that someone would disparage a small business that is adding a ton of value to the local community, particularly when it falsely represents how the business is conducted.
