But then I was ushered into a room where they did a red light therapy on my face, which was fine, but it was apparently just a sales funnel to get me to buy a red and blue light device for my home use that started out as much as my used car cost and then went down to just under 1500.00. It would only be 63.00 on Care Credit, so what's the problem? This went on for 1.5 hours. I didn't know the whole thing was about being upsold to the tune of thousands of dollars. I went in for a Triple Lift Facial ($59.99) which was suppose to include the normal facial and then also red light/rf therapy for jawline etc. Once the estitician is done with your facial they have you move to a different treatment room for the "light therapy"- however that only happens if you buy one of their absurdly priced packages ranging from $2100- $10000 from the so called owner who claims she's from Paris. I told her dont stick me anymore. After our facials we were ushered into a room with a young girl that tried to sell us a 10,000 dollar red light therapy device with free items for a year and 7 free facials for a yr. She ask if we had insurance. Or course but mine ain't gonna give you a dime. My FM gave her card to her. The girl went out to check the insurance to see if they would swallow some of the cost came back and said that the insurance would pay a substantial amount that took down the cost to 2,400. Then she said we'll i can reduce it more by 7% to 2,200. Well another reducing scheme was if you allow your pic to be used as a promotion. If so down to 1,942. While I did receive a good facial, it was not what was advertised. The environment and overall vibe is shady. I had an uneasy feeling as soon as I was shown to a back room to wait..I tipped generously as she was pleasant and did a nice job, and purchased an eye serum. After opening the serum some days later to find it had been opened and completely used, and rewrapped to appear new. With their "NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES, NO EXCEPTIONS" policy boldly printed on the paper sign taped to the countertop, I anticipated pushback when I notified them. I went straight to corporate with the situation and it was rectified by replacing the used container with a new one. There are better options in the area, and I will never return. $6000 to late. I went in for the facial which I considered to be very good. Was taken to a room after the facial and sold into this Red LED Light Therapy. I believe the person was an owner and very good at selling you something even if you don't really want it. She opens with a sad story about a call she just received saying her sister in law was was in the hospital in California and that she has burns over 90% of her body and they don't think she is going to make it. She is very good at gaining your confindence and making you feel at ease. She used a device that she said showed hairs under my skin which she showed me on a small screen. She used the LED device on my face and then scanned again showing me that the hairs were now gone, that the light had disolved them. I am very trusting and actually believed what she told me. She said the device was $18,000 but because I was a veteran, she would give me a discount because she had promised her father, who was also a veteran, that she would treat veterans with a discount. I am so gullable that I believed everything she told me. I explained to her that I had just had cataract surgery which I had to pay out of pocket and that I was trying to get my teeth fixed and was saving to get implants so I really couldn't afford to buy anything. She actually got on her phone and got an approval from Affirm. The room was dimly lit and when I signed a paper agreeing to the sale and later the receipt I really could not see and just signed. Yes I was stupid and have learned a very hard and expensive lesson. There is NO RETURN on the products. I went home and got on the internet to see if the LED device could actually dissolve hairs and no it can't. A product that she had put under my eyes which was suppose to take away bags under the eyes left a white residue after several hours and when washed off your bags have returned. I went for the promotional facial (which was average) and then sent to a room to hear all about this NASA red light therapy wand (which, I was told is health insurance approved by BCBS). I went in for a promotional facial treatment and after they were done, they escorted me into a different room where I was pressured into buying a redlight device that was going to help with the arthritic pain in my shoulder. After the long demo, the saleswoman then took my card out of the room to process the payment however, she FAILED to tell me that there are NO REFUNDS on the products that she sold to me. It wasn't until after I tried to return the product (within less than 24 hours) because I develop an allergic reaction, that I was told they do not do refunds for any reason. I don't understand why they would not tell me about their no refund policy before swiping my card. When using the device, I followed the manufacturer's instructions precisely and shortly after I noticed I had a reaction. The area where I did the treatment was now red, itchy, painful, and some small blisters formed. I went back to the spa, and they just told me it was normal and to continue using the device. I work in the medical field, and I know this is not normal for my skin to have this reaction.
