I picked Vector Movers because they gave me the lowest quote compared to several other movers. They prepared and moved things out SO FAST like it was a race against time but still with the utmost care. These guys were STRONG too. I watched them maneuver my heavy wooden futon into the door of my new place like it was nothing. They were very polite too asking where I wanted the furniture to go in the new place and figuring out what worked best. I tried to get out as much stuff ahead of time on my own to my new place before the move since it wasn't far, but in the end had a lot more than I listed on my inventory with them. I was kicking myself thinking I would be charged a lot more for the items I didn't list but still ended up getting their lowest quote in range because the move was completed in 2 hours. When they arrived I needed to put my cat someplace safe so that she wouldn't run out the open door as we were moving but she hid under the bed and wouldn't come out. All moving companies are seedy, that's what I have come to realize. I was moving from a Jersey City apartment to another one 10mins away. I'm surprised by how many great reviews there are but they seem to have a large presence. When I first booked the move, I gave an initial estimate of items. A week before, I called to update the item list because I had more stuff and was told, "that's okay, if you add 10 boxes, the quote won't change." No update to the item list. A few days before, I called in to add a big item I had warned them about since my initial call with them (I was debating between selling it or keeping it) and got the same answer, "it's okay, won't affect the quote". No updates to the item list. Come moving day, the foreman arrives, tells me that there's way more stuff than in the item list and then proceeds to tell me the big item is not covered by their insurance (16c per lb of stuff if I remember correctly) and that if it breaks they are not held responsible. I had specifically called about that item and the extra boxes and now the foreman is telling me that I have extra boxes not on the item list and my larger item they will move but cannot guarantee it. Quote was totally off and it looked like the $100 deposit is not added into the final price for the quote. If it is supposed to be that way, it wasn't obvious. The movers were fast. In and out in 3 hours. But the foreman kept saying that he has my best interests at heart, etc. It felt odd to me. They also never respond to their everest email - it seems to be the initial email they use to send quotes and reminders but is totally ignored after you've committed and have questions. Fantastic experience with Georgy and his two guys!!!! So nice and they guided me through the whole experience. They arrived early, packed incredibly fast even with a 3rd floor walk up, got everything over safely, and unloaded even more quickly while following all my directions on what to put where. From the first outreach, Sam was responsive to our inquiry, helped us understand inventory and pricing, and set expectations along the way about what to expect before and on the moving day. They took great care in packaging our items, and not a single thing was broken, misplaced, or scratched. I love Vector! Every step of the way was super smooth and I couldn't be more thankful after my fair share of horrendous moving experiences. Let me start off by saying, everyone you will work with here are extremely professional. From start to finish, I was nervous that something would fall through the cracks, or that I would be charged by hidden fees. None of that is the case. Everest quoted me with an EXTREMELY reasonable price compared to most in the area. I'm talking $200 less or more, which is significant for someone moving on their own. They arrived 10 minutes earlier than the window slotted, which was amazing. 3 of the guys packed up the truck with my boxes in 15 minutes flat. I was amazed. The only issue, which was unavoidable at the time, was that the elevator in my new apartment was down for the day. I told the guys once I knew, and they handled it peacefully. This may have taken longer than expected, but I'm happy to say nothing was broken and every piece of furniture was carefully placed and put in the right spot. Listen, this company has impressive ratings for a reason. Don't let other companies charge you for "transportation fees"... Vector is thorough, concise, and exact with all methods of communication. I moved with Romeo and crew last week from Riverdale to Hoboken and couldn't be happier with the entire moving process. I called a few other moving companies in the area without ever receiving phone calls back before finding Vector Movers. When I found them on yelp, Everest made the booking process incredibly easy from the very first phone call and was very flexible with my dates/times, as I wasn't exactly sure which day I would be moving. The booking process was organized and convenient. This is something that clearly lacked in other moving companies in the area. I was given an hour time frame from 8-9 A.M. that they would arrive. I have to admit I got a little nervous when it became 8:50 on the day of the move and I hadn't heard from them but Romeo called right before 9:00 to let me know that they would be arriving in 5 minutes and apologized that they hit traffic due to an accident. There was a small miscommunication with the building that I live in about my moving date which I began to panic about but Romeo was SO calm and laid back about the whole process, and reminded me that this should be a stress-free process for me and that they would take care of it. As someone who gets VERY easily stressed out, it was awesome to have them handle the issue so calmly especially when it wasn't their fault. I was quoted a set price for 3 hours and then 99$ for every hour over and I was definitely thinking it would go over, but even WITH the traveling (about a 45 minute drive between my old apartment and new apartment), loading/unloading, and assembling/disassembling my furniture, they still completed the move in 3 hours! They were extremely careful with all of my stuff and made sure my furniture was placed exactly where I wanted it in my new apartment. Even being on the 5th floor of my new building, Romeo and crew completed the move with ease and professionalism. The Vector moving company picked up my 77 inch LG C1 tv from UPack Center. Since the TV cost me 3000 dollars and is very fragile, I Checked TV first in the Upack Center before they unloaded my Stuff. The TV box was totally fine. However, the upper left corner of the box was broken when they delivered to my apt and the TV was damaged. I think maybe one heavy box fell and it hit the upper left corner. From my perspective, things happened. I still tip 420 dollars total to all the movers . The staff called me later and he was very rude and frustrated. He told me that they were not responsive for the damage because the tv had already been damaged by the third party. I explained to him that I checked the box in the Upack center before your loading and it was good. He told me he could gave me 100 dollars because he did want to hear from me anymore. I got his email later, If I accept the $100, I can not make any further complaints by their service. I rejected the money and shared my experience. I think they do care about their reputation but not in a right way. read more

We hired NJTM base upon their good Yelp reviews. The provided an estimate and my husband and I booked them to provide moving services from our two bedroom apartment, to a three bedroom house The original moving quote was for $476.00. Everything seemed fine up until 48 hour prior to our move. I called to make sure everything was okay, because I hadn't heard from the moving company. I got John, who I spoke with when I set up the move. I told John I was calling just to confirm that everything was set up for our move. John was short with me, and told me he emailed me all the confirmation information. I told John I didn't get an email and asked if he could resend. He told me there was no need to resend the email since I was on the phone now. He said everything was set and three guys would arrive Friday as scheduled between 8AM and 9AM. On the morning of the move I called 9:05am to make sure everything was alright. Romeo, one of the movers, called me back at 9:15 to inform me they were running late. The guys didn't arrive until 9:45am. The move itself went well. Romeo and the other two movers came in and moved quickly and efficiently. My husband and I were extremely happy with their service, but it wasn't until it was time to leave that it got unprofessional. Romeo, who I assume was in charge, started adding up all the charges. He originally charged us for 4.5 hours. They were only working for a little over 3 hours, but he we agreed to 3.5 hours. There was a 5% fee for paying with a credit card, a charge we weren't told about previously or during in our estimate. Romeo's math numbers were all over the place. He then informed us he was not good with math. He asked us to total up everything for him and fill out our own receipt. My husband tipped all the movers and that's when it got weird. Romeo began to beg for more money. He told us he wasn't as fortunate as us to be living in a nice big house. He told us that his apartment, where he lives with his wife and three children in New York was the size of our basement. He asked us not to tell his boss or anyone he asked for more money, but more money would go a long way to helping them. We declined Romeo's request and eventually after more begging he got into the truck with the other movers. A few minutes later he came back to the front door to ask us to pay for tolls They informed us that us paying their tolls was expected, because they don't charge us for gas. We did not have any cash on us and we contacted John once again. He informed us that toll payment was listed in our confirmation email that we never received and that days earlier was told wasn't an important email. My husband went down the street to the ATM so we could give them more money so they would leave as the awkwardness was increasing greatly. Making the 3 movers total tip $140 on a bill of $593.25. I called John at NJ Trusted Movers, and Vector movers their parent company (name listed on the receipt) multiple times to speak with someone regarding my concerns and our overall bad experience. No one called me back from either company. I would recommend you pay more if you have to, and go with another company. read more

Under budget and ahead of schedule! Ali and his team were the best they arrived exactly on time and went straight to work. They expertly wrapped out furniture and our framed paintings and mirrors. They had the entire truck loaded in 45 minutes and were ready to go. They also unloaded all of our boxes exactly where they needed to go and helped us move other items in our new home. They had the entire job completed in under three hours and that's after an hour of travel. They were the best investment that we made while moving and not only could we have done it with out them but they made the entire process stress free. Moving is like buying a car: the process is nerve-wracking, tedious, frustrating, and you tend to needlessly worry but when all is said and done you hope everything works out. Full Disclosure: Our only worry moment came before the move. We were told they would arrive between 8 or 9 (the day of our move) and by 8:45 we started to needlessly worry. We tried calling them to get a ETA only to get a answering machine. About five minutes later we received a call from Ali saying they left from Brooklyn and didn't realize exactly how long it would take to arrive and they would arrive in about 15 minutes. About twenty minutes later a white graffiti laden truck pulls up and four (unseemingly strong) guys get out (anxiety begins to rise....). Ali and his team come up to the condo to scope out what needs to be done and then get right to it... What do you get when you have four (unseemingly) strong guys doing your move and one just happens to be a tetris master (okay not really but he can perform miracles)? A FLAWLESS MOVE These guys are thorough, cautions (wrapping edges so they did get banged), gental (with glass and the boxes), efficient, quick, courteous (I kept getting in their way and they were appologizing), insert more positive adjectives here.... They work like a well oiled machine: two brought everything to the stairs where another brought the items down (the three flights of stairs) to the guy in the truck. The guy loading the truck must be a tetris savant because the way he packed that truck for what was really two moves (2/3 went to storage and 1/3 went to the new apartment) was truly impressive/amazing. His words pre-move were "it should just fit" and truer words were never spoken as there was little room for anything else. Once we arrived at the apartment the guys quickly unloaded what was going there. There were some tight spots and angles to get some furniture in the second floor apartment but Ali and crew navigated them with ease. And, once at the storage facility, unloaded everything in a neat and organized way. So despite the arrival issue everything else was beyond expert and professional. I gave him a list of bedrooms and type of bldg of our current residence and the same for our new home. He was able to give us a quote over email, highlighting NO hidden fees. The price includes it all...fuel, mileage, moving blankets, moving tape, couple of wardrobe boxes and tools for disassembling and reassembling. They do not charge extra for stairs or long hallways. Ali and crew did a great job moving us on Sunday after a light dusting of 28 inches of snow during the great storm Jonas. Pros - the guys were fast, careful with all of our stuff, and helpful in wrapping things that we didn't have boxes for. They also shoveled snow for an hour after we showed up at our new house which hadn't been plowed yet. They were troopers and really did a great job. The price was also great. Con - The communication leading up to the move wasn't great. I'd call the number and get an answer from Johnny maybe 50% of the time (maybe 3 of the 6 times I called). Made the move yesterday from NYC to NJ. I wanted to thank Vector moving, Romy and his team who went above and beyond any other moving service I have used. The team showed up exactly at the posted time, which is difficult to do during nyc rush hour. I unfortunately had terrible weather with heavy rain and thunderstorms, the team took extra care in moving boxes and took the time to wrap or box any open item I had ensuring nothing was damaged or ruined...and nothing was. They also were very meticulous in both apartments and did not damage or leave any mess behind (especially did not get the floors wet). Even with the bad weather and extra work they put in, they stayed within the projected time I was quoted. I scheduled my move out service with Mike from Vector Movers. He was very responsive to all the questions I had and with some back and forth, I was able to get my estimate of moving my 2 BR Apt from Jersey City to South Jersey. I was assigned Tony and Crew of 2 for moving day. The move was a breeze, Tony and Crew showed up on time and were very quick to load all the boxes (approx 35), disasemble my bed, couch and other furniture items and load it on the truck in 1 hour. Commute took about 1.5 hrs and then Rearranging the boxes in the new house in the respective rooms took about an hour. Overall very impressed by the work Tony and Crew did and overall professionalism in terms of communication and making this move a breeze.
