But where they shine for us was in there compassionate care toward the end of their lives. If you love your pet and have them as long as we did, you know they become part of the family and their loss is greatly missed. They have a non-evasive, conservative yet common sense approach to pet care, allowing for manageable costs and some OTC or low cost solutions. Dr Cromer has successfully treated several of our dogs with laser treatment for pain/arthritis as well conducted minor surgeries in the office and his annual exams and vax prices are spot on. Labeled my dog as aggressive…read morewhen she is not and put her on an aggressive dog protocol where she is sedated unable to walk, barely able to stand, and pooping all over herself. We were told that is how she needed to be for all future visits. Went in for surgery today and we were told her sedatives did not work enough, and because we had questions regarding the care and why the sedatives where necessary she got very rude, passive aggressive, over ruling and condescending. She then said she would no longer see her and canceled our reschedule surgery date after already having us spend 800$ on "necessary" meds and other things. She upsells medications and gives 3 times the amount needed, causing us to spend even more money that was not needed. On multiple occasions she said our dog was aggressive for simply looking at her and told us to watch our hands and face when we have them near her face, she also makes rude remarks in regards to personal relationships. She also refused to do a blood draw because she forced a muzzle on her and then my dog got scared because she wanted it on so tight it broke, they also used multiple leads in different parts of her body to control her when she is just fine on a harness. If you have a large breed or any bully breeds do not being your dogs here as she will automatically label them as aggressive. Below is my baby who is as sweet as can be, she has been mistreated by Dr Kaiser and I would absolutely never recommend this lady to anyone else. Following up on the remark we just got, she just had her surgery done at allied veterinary specialist where I spoke in lengths with them about "possible" aggression, they said that she was very talkative but not aggressive. We also just got an update on the completion of her surgery where the doctor said that they had no issues and they did not need heavy sedation before even going in to the visit. They care and have an overnight required stays but said that due to her anxiety they would rather her be sent home to be more relaxed. They've never said anything about aggressive behavior and know that she has separation anxiety. The anxiety was in her chart and you viewed it as aggressive and ignored everything that we her owners even said about her behavior. She had been seen by 3 vets before we took her to your clinic where they said she was sweet just anxious about being away from us. She was given medications to help with anxiety when we leave her at home, which have been helping. She had no issues going to the vet, she never barked and was always eager to meet the vet and staff and after going to your clinic she was scared to even go inside another one. They went to place a lead on her today and it terrified her because yall medicated her so much placed leads on her hips and neck and pulled from both directions and forced a muzzle on her which traumatized her. Her behavior were different with you because you were more focused on the money going in your pocket then on her needs, dogs know who to trust and who is a good person. Which you are not.

Let me start out by saying I don't make this post to be mean, but simply to inform other pet owners…read moreof my experience. That being said, I have had a lot of cats and dogs in my life. I currently foster and rescue with animal care and protective services, meaning I have nine dogs of my own who are various special needs or seniors, and I also have nine cats. I have a registered vet that I usually use however, due to the nature of my visit today, I was unable to get my cat there, so I chose somewhere closer to home and I regret my decision. My 16-year-old cat needed to be put to sleep. She had been going downhill for a while, but the last 48 hours we have noticed swelling in her paws as well as her throat area, which could've been anything from fluid retention to an allergic reaction. Either way, we knew it was gonna be her time and we were hoping she would pass on her own, but she did not My husband made the appointment for 330 this afternoon for me and him to go bring her to be put to sleep. As I said, I've had a lot of dogs and cats, so this is not the first time that I've had to put an animal to sleep. Most of the dogs that I rescue our seniors, so this has happened before where I've had to help them along. I've never gone to a vet that did not want to do an initial exam before putting the animal to sleep. I had to ask them to please make sure there was nothing that we could do in order to have her live longer, within reason. I still don't think they even looked at her much just to say that she was anemic and it was her time. I was OK with that as I expected that was going to be the situation, but I did want to make sure that I was doing the right thing, and as I said, I've never met a vet who does not do an exam before euthanasia. In fact, I'm pretty sure we paid for an office visit and they didn't even examine my cat. The vet themselves, without me sounding rude, should not have been practicing medicine. She was older, much older than I have ever seen still working, and she could barely stand up on her own. Because my cat's legs were swollen, they were having a hard time finding a vein. I think it was maybe 20 minutes of them trying to stick my cat, over and over. Thankfully, she was mostly sedated by then, but still. The vet did have an assistant who was trying her best, but I realized once my cat was sedated that I brought her to the wrong place. Unfortunately, at that point, she was already sedated and I was not sure what else I could do. Neither vet informed me when they were going to do anything, I kept having to ask what was going on because I just kept seeing them trying to stick her over and over again. The main vet, kept saying that they were gonna have to gas her and then the assistant that would remind her that they couldn't do that because the gas thing was in surgery I guess. That must've transpired at least four times in the 20 minutes that we were doing this. I also felt like the vet was not very sympathetic to my loss, she was making comments about my cat, as if I wasn't there. The assistant vet was slightly more empathetic. I felt bad for her because she was trying her best and it was not working. I'm not fully blaming them, as I understand that my cat was obviously not in the best of shape, but I do feel like I've never had an experience like this in all the animals that I've had to put the sleep in my 35 years of being on this earth. The whole process took about an hour, and I had to make sure multiple times that she had actually passed because I really didn't even trust them at that point. I almost had a panic attack quite a few times because I just did not understand what was going on, and nobody was talking to me and telling me what was going on. If there's another vet there, I would suggest asking for them, however, I was there last minute, and I think I was the last appointment of the day. I just hope my cat was not suffering during those minutes. It took for her to get sedated and then put to sleep.

Two of our dogs had gotten into a fight. Our young dog was trying to beat up and take over the dog…read morepack from our other dog. She had ripped open our oldest dog neck and other areas of her body. We rushed her into the vet, and they talk, calmed down our dog, and held her up with care, and cleaned her up very well. They held her overnight and kept us updated on her very consistently. Overall, even when we bring all of our dogs in for regular checkups they are always smiling and talking to us and giving the dogs lots of love and attention. I love the lady upfront with the long brown hair she is always amazing. Not with just us but the wellbeing of our animals. Would definitely recommend coming here. 100%

We were out of town visiting my in laws and she got into some food she shouldn't have while we were out. Being the nervous pet parents we are we rushed to find a vets office close by that was open. I called Vet 1 care and Iris answered. She was very calming while also providing just the right amount of concern. We took Bella in and were immediately taken back into a room. Iris and the vet on call were both very sweet to Bella even though they were both very tired from working all night (on Christmas!) and very patient with all of our questions. They walked us thru every single step and made sure we understood every charge before they did anything to her. They made recommendations based off of what was truly needed and what was nice to have. It was refreshing to have someone be so honest and open instead of just looking to make a quick buck. In the end Bella got some medicine and we were done in about an hour. The next day Iris called me just to check in and make sure Bella felt better. She also remembered we were from TN and asked how our drive back was and how our Christmas was. Great customer service! Imagine taking your car to the shop because it had fuel problems but the mechanic decided to change…read morethe transmission without even telling you. This is what Vet I care did to my poor cat. I took her there to see why she's not eating but they decided to milk me as much as possible and keep her overnight. I paid $1500 for that alone. Then the vet assumed that she has an eye problem because she squints her right eye (She's been doing that since she was a kitten when she's nervous and every single time I bring her there they try to mess with it) Anyway, WITHOUT MY CONSENT, he decided that she needs to have an ulcer removed from her eye and messed with it. They called me in the morning and said that they'll keep her for the duration of the afternoon and won't charge me (bs, they charged me another $200) I come back, the vet said to monitor her eating and to let them know how it goes. THEN one of the workers, a rude man with an atttude, brings out my cat in a CONE and tells me I have to use eydrops and an ointment on my cat 3x a day. Something the vet didn't mention AT ALL. So imagine spending $1700 for them not to determine why my cat isn't eating and also maiming her. She still doesn't want to eat and hides from me because of the eydrops. Her eye is slowly going blind. They literally blinded my cat and charged me $1700z Vet is too scared to talk to me and tells his subordinates to answer me. And this is how they treated a customer of 5 years!!! Imagine how they will treat your pet if you're new. Never ever ever go there.

After working with four different vets locally and getting nowhere, I was exhausted, frustrated, and honestly starting to lose hope. My dogs had persistent giardia that just would not resolve despite multiple treatments and protocols. Out of options, I traveled over 300 miles to see this vet--and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made for my pets. Dr. Herb is exceptionally thoughtful, detail-oriented, and genuinely committed to understanding the root of the problem rather than just repeating standard treatments. They took the time to review history thoroughly, ask deeper questions, and tailor a plan specifically for my dogs. Most importantly, the treatment worked. For the first time, my dogs are healthy, stable, and free from the cycle we had been stuck in for so long. The difference is undeniable. Beyond the clinical success, what stood out just as much was the level of care. This vet is not only highly intelligent but also deeply compassionate--something that's surprisingly rare when you've been through as many appointments as we had. If you are dealing with a stubborn or complex issue and feel like you've hit a wall, I cannot recommend this practice enough. Traveling the distance was absolutely worth it.
