10/10 service, quality, professionalism, workmanship, & pricing. Zero complaints. I called several places which were much much higher in price and the competitors were not very cordial on the phone. I called Vega for a quote and they scheduled me for an appointment first thing the next morning. I dropped the car off and it was complete in about 2 hours. The shop is a clean atmosphere which speaks to their workmanship and overall finished product. Their tint also comes with lifetime warranty. Their manager has been in the business for 15 years, and it clearly shows. I will be referring everyone in NOVA/MD to this place! read more

My daughter had the interior detailing done and it was done within a couple of hours and Vega Motor Sport did an outstanding job! They accommodated us and were the only car detailing business that actually showed interest in helping us since we had rainy cold weather. She still raves about it now and said her car looks better than when she bought it and it's been a couple of weeks! This is my second time using Vega Motorsports to detail a vehicle. I was undecided about if I should repaint my then 12 year old Porsche truck and Classic Auto Body suggested that I give my truck a good detailing job first then decide. Some of the small scratches can be buffed out and the luster/shine may return to the paint, keeping me from paying thousands of dollars on a paint job. Great idea! So they recommend Vega Motorsport/Window Tinting and Detailing Specialist which was located across the street from Classic Auto Body. I took my truck across the street and the shop manager, Mr. Kwame "Q", looked over my truck and gave me a price. I told him the conversation I had with Classic Auto Body, about going this avenue first, before deciding to repaint the entire truck. The price was $220 for what I needed done. Though it sounds high, the work he described was nothing compared to the thousands for a new paint job. And again, though it sounds like a high price, Mr. Kwame was completely honest with me and did not promise me "a rose garden". Lol. I was willing to try this option, and I'm glad I did! Needless to say, I did not get a new paint job for my truck. Vega Motorsport had my truck for half the day and when I picked it up, I almost felt like I did when I drove it off the showroom floor. :-) They pretty much removed everything on the inside in order to completely clean the inside. They hand washed, waxed, buffed, scrubbed, spit-shined.....whatever they had to do to remove scratches and bring back the luster. For the next few days, I was looking in every nook & cranny and in every small space just to see if they left a crumb or something, but it was completely clean! I was amazed! So fast forward to today.....I had them clean my other truck before taking it back to Florida. I didn't need the exact same treatment as the Porsche but they still did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone needing a regular detail or a specialized detail. read more

I had my rear windows tinted today to Maryland Legal limits. The process took about 1.5 hours and cost $100. The technician/installer seemed very experienced and did a good job. Very happy with the work done and the price. The tint still needs to cure (currently less than 2 hours from install time), so there are a couple areas I will be watching over the next few days. Of course it seems cloudy etc because it's not cured yet. But I think it's going to be real nice in a few days. The only negative I would point out is that I got my car back dirtier than I expected. I was there watching the entire time. The issue is as they prep the tint on the exterior Windows water is running all down the sides and rear of the car. Over the 1.5 hour process it dries and left my freshly washed car filthy looking. So, just plan to wash your car after. Not a major issue, but future customers would appreciate less mess. Which may include me. Overall I'm happy with price and the work. I will update this post if I have a problem. read more

Buyer beware is all I'm going to say. First, I had Vega remove tint I had installed from another shop which cost me $400 on my Mercedes Benz 2014 CLS ($100). I had Vega then re-install legal ceramic tint for $600 which had bubbles, scratches and other things visible under the tint at least on every window. Vegas told me to wait for it to cure and if they didn't go away over time bring it back and they will satisfy me. Believe it or not, Vegas uninstalled/reinstalled tint on my Mercedes a total of four times and bubbles and scratches are still in the tint. After continuously bringing my car back and complaining, Vegas treated me as if I were the problem. I didn't put dusk, bubbles, hairs or scratches in the tint, they even had me come see their best man from out of town. Vega asked me to leave my car so their best man could correct the issues. It took two days to give me the same results, dusk, hairs, bubbles and scratches were still visible...poor job! Judge for yourself. Pictures don't lie!!! All total $1000 spent, a lot of time and money wasted, a very unhappy customer! read more

Tinting & Detailing I recently took my 2007 Honda Odyssey to this business for a complete window tinting and detailing. I was very impressed with the high level customer service I received here. Everyone was very professional and accommodating in every way. They even offer shuttle service to and from their shop while they work on your car (which was extremely helpful, since I work in the area). They also offer a mobile detailing service, that will come out to your home or place of business. The workmanship was impeccable, on both the window tinting and the detailing. The tint is tint. I walked in and the guy just took my keys and was going to install whatever he wanted. Did explain to me the different types of tint or anything. Thankfully the owner came around and explained everything. (I've had several cars with tint. This was a first.) Then I get my car back. The tint job was good. The residue of whatever they used to put on it was horrible. It's all over my doors and seats. Really not happy with it. I'll probably not go back here. read more

I wanted to get my car tinted and found this place on my search for a 3M authorized tint dealer in MD. We were greeted well and were even offered a ride to the local mall as we waited for the car to be ready. After about an hour and 30 mins as promised I got a call and a timely pick up at the mall...Once I saw the car I knew that the trip to Vega's was worth it. The 3M tint came out great! I was referred to this place as somewhere that could get one bad scratch and several smaller ones off my 2018 camaro. I brought it by to get it assessed.... yep, sure they can do that as well as get these annoying white spots off my seats. Fantastic. Brought it by around 11 am. I was told it would be done in two hours. Okay, great! I'll wait. They finished at 5pm. My day was wasted. I was showed my car, which admittedly was nicely waxed, but then I was told that the scratches couldn't be removed, nor could the spots on the seats. Essentially, I paid to have my car waxed, which I could have done myself for a fraction of what I was charged. On top of this, their business is incredibly sketchy. Cash only. I wouldn't go so far as to call this place a scam, but it's pretty darn close. What I can say is that this place is dishonest, sketchy, marginally competent and will lie to you for money. Look elsewhere for detailing services. read more

I took my vehicle to Vega and got the windows tinted. I took my vehicle to get the MD State Inspection and failed because of how dark the tint was. I asked them to keep it the same as the back windows not knowing that the back windows can be darker than the front on my truck. They charged me $40 to take it off and told me that I should have gotten the inspection first and then brought it in for tinting. I told them that they as the experts could have at least told me about the MD Law requirement but they were more concerned about cutting corners. When I pay for service I expect service, that's all. They knew about the tint requirement just figured that I must have wanted to break the law and work around it. read more

I've had four vehicles tinted at Vega Motorsport and they've always done a great job, including my most recent visit. The reason I'm only giving them two stars is because they changed the price on me after I confirmed not only once, but twice what the cost would be. I called before bringing my car in, explained the type of vehicle I had and was quoted $200. It was a bit more expensive than the guy down the street, but they'd already done three of my other cars, so I figured I'd give them the repeat business. When I arrived, I confirmed again with the staff the cost of the service, and again was quoted $200. Three hours later as I was picking up the car, I was told the total was $240. When I asked why, I was just told and I quote "it's $240". No explanation for the additional cost. He then called a manager (on the phone - not onsite), who basically told him to charge me the $240. Long story short, I paid the $240 and left. Unfortunately, I won't be bringing any of my vehicles back or recommending their services to my friends. Not a good way to do business or keep repeat customers especially when there are other shops in the area who are cheaper and also do excellent work. read more

Darrell and his staff were beyond amazing. Coming from VA, MD's safety inspection laws are a little ridiculous. The tint on my windows was 30% and I had to strip it off and get my car inspected. However, my car still needed to change out my headlights and replace a high beam before I could pass inspection. While his staff worked on my tint, Darrell drove me to at least two different auto stores in the area to help me find the right light bulbs. They even replaced my high beam for me and offered to *temporarily* replace my headlights with what they had in stock so I could drive over next door to get inspection, pass, and then put my headlights back in. Due to some after market ballasts and other lighting issues, they were unable to assist with the headlights - but not because they didn't try. The tint they did is legal (I really wanted 30% but the inspection mechanic scared me into doing the right thing) at 35%, I got top of the line quality and they gave me a discount. Super amazing, great people, soo accommodating. Will 100% refer my friends and bring any other new cars there...after getting the state inspection. Thanks Darrell! read more

This place is careless. I got my windows tinted at Vega several months ago, and things I didn't like kept adding up, but I tried to looked past it. Then I was wiping down my rear window the other day and noticed the tint was peeling already. When I called to get a price for removing the illegal grade tint and putting legal grade back on for the MD inspection, they quoted me $220. $120 for removal of the old tint, and $100 for applying the new tint. When I arrived to get it done, the woman at the desk also told me $220. This process was split into two appointments. When I returned to get the new tint put on, a different guy was at the desk, and he charged me $240, saying both processes were $120. When I told him I'd been told differently, he said he wasn't in the position to fix that, and no one in that position was there at the time. So I paid the extra $20, and he offered me a free car wash, which I didn't take him up on because I was displeased by the quality they did with my windows. When they removed the tint during the first appointment, they left a mess. A solution had to be used to remove the tint, so they were soaking it, but didn't bother putting towels anywhere. They didn't even bother trying to mop it up either, so I left with everything soaked in that solution, which I had to try cleaning myself. What kind of detailers leave your car worse than you how you gave it to them? Not a huge deal, but they also stole a brand new car washing sponge from the floor of my back seat. It was still in its packaging and I don't see how they could mistakenly think they'd put it there themselves, or that it was in their way and had to be removed to do their job. Finally, there's a little bubble in the rear window tint, and it's already started to peel in the corner. $240 for that? Not worth it. read more

I was not pleased with Vega Motorsport. They are overpriced and deceitful. During the consultation I was told about the different types of tint they offer. However, on the day of the tinting I was only offered the basic smoke tint. After the job was done I asked about the warranty and I was told two different things. One employee told me there would be a $60 fee to repair any broken windows. Another employee told me to bring my vehicle back and he would repair any broken windows for free. I would not recommend anybody to Vega Motorsport. read more

Terrible Experience. Had LED headlights and Fog lights installed on Oct 2017 for $350. I was told on the date of installation that a lifetime warranty was include with my purchase. Had to return on June 1, 2018 to get the driver side LED headlight replaced and then I had to return again on Oct 20, 2018 to get both LED fog lights replaced. After getting my fog lights replaced a huge nail was noticed in my tire while I was still at the shop and the shop denied that it was there fault even though the nail was not there before I dropped the truck off. Now the passenger side headlight is out and they quoted me 150 to do a replacement and stated that headlights are only good for a 1 year warranty. Even though the website currently still states lifetime manufactures warranty and does not specify what services are not qualified for lifetime warranty. I highly recommend going elsewhere and not wasting your time or money here. read more

I am a very meticulous person but I must admit the guys at this establishment did a phenomenal job on my truck. Good experience. I got a clear bra and window tint from them and they did a great job. I wasn't 1,000% thrilled with the exact cut of the tint, but unless you are looking for a slight rounding at the window's edge you won't even see it. The clear bra installation was really good. Of course I dropped some $$, but it was worth it. They have Sunday hours and that is so awesome for working folks. Over the last 8 years, Vega Motorsport has tinted 6 cars for my Family. We go back, because they do high quality work and stand by it. They use quality products, and explain the differences between the product grades to give you a good understanding of the price differences. The films are expertly installed at a fair price. We had one window with a tiny bubble in an irritating location (after curing), without question, even though it was too small to trigger the guarantee (irritating location), they fixed it. read more

My experience at Vega Motorsport this time around was dissatisfying. I have taken two of my other vehicles here and have never experienced this level of poor customer service. So, I called and scheduled an appointment for 8:30am on June 3, 2017 and I was told that it would not take longer than an hour and a half. The day of my appointment I arrived about 10 minutes early. There was one gentleman there before me and only two cars in the Bay Area that didn't appear to be being worked on. The owner greeted me and asked if I would be waiting on my vehicle and I told him yes. So, I walked down the street to grab a bite to eat and got back at about 9:15am only to find the same gentleman that was in there before me still waiting and another person. I checked on my vehicle and saw that the tint film and been cut and just laid on the outside of my vehicle. The owner and another employee were trying to work on 3 vehicles at the same time, which was not working at all. By this time it was about 10:30am and when I went to ask the owner how much longer it was going to be before my vehicle would be complete, he immediately got upset and bothered that I asked him. He caught an attitude and stated one of my workers called out. I explained to him that was fine, but he should've came inside and explain that the job was going to take a little longer because of unforeseen circumstances. I tried to explain to him that if he would've communicated that and displayed some what of good customer service, that it would not have been a problem and I could have made other arrangements and came back. He wanted to continue to debate and didn't want to acknowledge or take any responsibility for the poor customer service. After my vehicle was complete he continued to display poor customer service. They helped me pick out the best tint for my car, and the owner was straight forward about it. They also offer a shuttle service if you live in the area to take you home while you wait for your car to be done right and then they'll come pick you back up too. As good as the reviews indicated! Courteous, knowledgeable, quick in-and-out, no pressure to sell you on their products, decent waiting area. Prior to my visit to Vega, had a tint job done for my cargo bay area at another shop which involved the 2 side windows and the rear factory tinted window. The goal was to tint for privacy so that no one could see what is stowed in the cargo area. After about 2 days, I couldn't live with what seemed to be a "night time " view in the rear view mirror of traffic behind me in broad daylight. I went to Vega to get the rear window film removed. Darrel, the manager, inspected it and agree it should be removed and pointed out that it was cheap limo film and not a clear film which caused the dark visual effect and he showed me the shoddy job of installation around the pane. He explained the difference in film and quality on a display machine but did not press me to install his product. After thinking about it, I decided while I was there to have the clear 35% film installed on the rear factory tinted window and I am completely satisfied since my goal was "privacy" for my cargo bay. I won't "out" the shop that did the shoddy install using inferior material because I believe he was doing the best he could with what he had. However, make sure you get the proper info on auto tinting before you leap. I will give Vega 5 stars and I have confidence that after a month, I will be just as pleased with the install as I am today. If there is any degrading after that time I will contact and let them know and if they don't respond accordingly, I will revisit this review and let you know. read more

I would give them negative stars if it allowed me too. I am a previous customer of this company and I recommended this company to my husband as he just bought a car and the inspection station would not pass him due to the car had window tint that wasn't legal. I spoke to Daryl and he quoted me a two for one deal to have the tint removed and come back after the car was inspected to put new tint on the car. When my husband arrived to have the tint removed he mentioned what the plan was and was told due to the size of the back window they must charge him $240 to have the tint put back on. When he came home he told me he was given different info from what I told him after I scheduled the appointment so I called Daryl back and explained to him that he quoted me $260 which would cover the cost to remove the tint and place more back on. He began to argue with me about how he speaks to several customers a day and he can't recall that conversation and he didn't have that amount written down in his appointment book. I told him so I just made this amount up after I gave him the car's year, make and model in order to get the price? I would not have bothered to use this company if we were going to be charged $340 to have tint taken off and place back on the car. I advised he was practicing bad business and because of him not honoring his quote he will lose us and everyone we know as customers. If you can't give people an actual amount after they give all required info about the car please don't advertise people to contact you to request a quote. We are very dissatisfied customers and I personally would not recommend this company. Very unprofessional and arguing with your customers do not get you anywhere but losing potential good loyal customer. I am not one to write reviews on companies, but I found this company online based on other people's positive reviews. Never again will they get my family and friend's business.
