Sandwich-wise: I loved the Chopped Cheese and I usually dislike ground beef substitutes, the Portobello mac and cheese was juicy and had some of the best vegan cheese I've had, and the Cubano has a very distinct BBQ smokey flavor which I'm not a big fan of but I know a lot of people love. The absolute standouts, however, were the Dominican staples made vegan. The Mofonguitos were flavorful bites wrapped in crispy plantain deliciousness, and their Sancocho was a perfect soup: hearty with tons of root vegetables and a really deep, warm flavor profile. I'm already planning repeat orders of these on my next trip, and to try their rice and beans next. Also LOVED the tamarind juice (although I'll gladly consume anything with even a suggestion of tamarind, so take that as you will) Parking was sparse but doable, and there is a nice little sitting area inside with lovely service to boot. Definite visit if you're in the area, and even if you're not! There are few things that make the haul from Queens to the Bronx worth it, and this place is officially added to that list for me. read more

Pros: Finding a vegan spot in the Bronx is like finding a literal gold mine. The Bronx has a serious lack of vegan exclusive options, so this is a gem in the middle of a food desert. Their Amazing Burger was delicious. Cons: A little overpriced depending on what you are getting. read more

Although I'm not a Vegan, if there are days when I don't eat seafood or anything with dairy, I could subsist on grains and veggies. The Bronx isn't filled to the brim with Vegan restaurants like in BK or NYC- so when a Vegan spot pops up in my borough, I'm all in. In comes Vegan Factory. The name threw me off because the previous Next Stop Vegan restaurant in this same location, is no longer here and this, is currently owned by one of the Dominican sisters. (FYI, Next Stop Vegan has moved to Washington Heights and BK). Next Stop was cozy- but Vegan Factory is just straight up luxurious.....for the West Farms area. It has plush, velvet emerald chairs with gold color legs, wooden tables, fuschias and faux boxwood walls. To counteract the bright colors, the flooring is done in black and white checks. And if that's not instagrammable gold, then what is? Again, for the area, Vegan F. is gorgeous! This is the closest you can get to eating a touch of Dominican flair in the food- without the meat. Vegan Factory's owner continues to hone in her Dominican culture into this restaurant. You'll find several traditional Dominican meals that have been Veganized here like: Mofongitos stuffed with Quinoa+other veggies+seasonings, 'Chimichurri' burger made with black beans+veggies+seasonings. Then there's a 'pull pork' sandwich and other items using Beyond meat or another meatless alternative- if that's your thing. Service from my girl Nia was awesome and down to earth. Not vegan but I passed by this place a few times and made it my priority to try it out. We ordered takeout for dinner & got a cheese burger and the cubano sandwich which both came with a side of fries. & let me tell you that the cubano was packed with so much flavor we forgot that it's not real meat. It was super delicious. Im a fan of mushrooms especially when they're seasoned right & they sure understood the assignment when it came down to seasoning this bad boy. The cheese burger was a bean patty & vegan American cheese which also tasted good. But the Cubano was def the winner in my opinion. The truffle Parmesan fries were mediocre due to lacking flavor and salt but we added our own seasonings and it tasted better. The sour sop & the mango juice were also DELICIOUS. Other than that - the vibe inside is cute & small. Next time I'm definitely trying the mofongitos and the tostadas. Will update once I try other menu items. read more

Here from California and needed some tasty Food. This place didn't disappoint. I'll be back for more. Only one thing. The burrito should come with some kind of sauce. It tasty but was dry but that can be fixed with providing sauces either inside or as a condiment. read more

Another amazing vegan restaurant located in the Bronx that is so good. I travel from Harlem just to get my Cubano sandwich and tamarind juice. Literally one of the best sandwiches ive ever had. They also have an authentic Dominican sancocho that is to die for. Another 10/10 from me id recommend to anyone to try. Vegan Dominican/ Latin food in the Bronx. This was a pleasant surprise since it's hard to find a vegan only restaurant in this area. The Mofonguito, Patacón, and Empanada de Maduro were savory. The Banana Pudding cupcake and Tres Leches cake were also delicious. We arrived right before the place got packed with customers and Door Dash / GrubHub delivery folks. The items were reasonably priced for vegan food and the portions were large in my opinion. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in NYC. read more

What can I say? How do I even start? First off.... If you love food like me, you will love this place! You don't have to be vegan to enjoy the food here. I've been here about 4 times and I live an hour away..... it's that good I can't recommend one favorite item that stops out from the menu because absolutely everything I've had is that damn good. Their juices, yaroa, patacón chimi, the vegan chimi, the tostada, burgers, soup, and even the salad guys.... And I hate salads but something about their seasoning. It's just very flavorful. As a meat loving carnivore, I'm very surprised to even say I loved every bite. The Vegan Factory packs a huge punch of amazing flavors. It has a cozy ambience. This little hidden gem is located in the Bronx. The flavors are full of Dominican style foods, which I am very surprised they managed to make it vegan. We went on a Sunday, so we didn't have many options for dessert. I was not craving cupcakes I wanted to try their other desserts, but they didn't have any. We ended up having a Cuban, the Chimi and the mac & cheese we also order El Patacon to go. The mac and cheese was ok needed more cheese they forgot our Chimi order but made up for it giving us a free what looks like patelito that was amazing especially the sauce. The area is really congested, no parking, and really populated making it not the best experience as far as location. I have to admit though their Cuban sandwich is immaculate tasting almost identical to an original. I advise ordering beforehand and just picking up your food up to go unless you utilize Uber.... Came here with mom and she was excited about the garlic fries in the reviews but they were just plain ones. Didn't see anywhere on the menu on it, maybe they changed it. They didn't have any chikn in stock which was a huge bummer ): but that wasn't the only thing.. I ordered the chimi sandwich and the cubano. Had good flavors but I thought it was drenched in sauce. The parts that I tasted without the sauce actually brought out good flavors and it was yummy but the sauce overpowered everything and made it salty and sour. I heard another customer rave about the place in there, they must've not tried other places. Sorry to say but it doesn't fit our palate and we aren't fans. read more
